This was my second expedition with AGA – this time moving from Nepal (Ama Dablam) to Argentina (Aconcagua). Adriana was a great support to have on the mountain and a very inspiring young woman to climb with. She encouraged every team member to reach their full potential on the climb without comprising safety in any respect – as such, she made this a memorable expedition, both for me and (I’m sure) for others in the group. I endorse both her, as an individual, and her company, unequivocally.

Completed the Everest Base Camp trek, and a climb of island peak with the fantastic AGA ADVENTURES in October. This was my second experience with AGA, and I couldn’t be happier. They are professional and treat everyone like family. From the minute, I landed in Kathmandu to my return flight home, I was always in good hands with this team. Highly recommended for your next trek or climb.

This is my second trek with AGA Adventures (EBC in April 2025) and, once again this trek exceeded my expectations. In part this was because of the incredible scenery along the route: the trek starts much lower down than the EBC trek and follows along the course of the Budhi Gandaki River initially through an almost tropical landscape featuring gorgeous waterfalls before ascending through forests of mixed deciduous and pine trees and finally reaching the alpine with its imposing glaciers, lakes and peaks (including spectacular Manaslu itself)—all featuring the bluest of skies! The other reason the trek exceeded expectations is because of AGA’s incredible organization and attention to detail and safety. The trek was led personally by Adri Brownlee and Gelje Sherpa and their experienced guides. Before we left on the trek, AGA did a gear check to make sure we had all of the equipment necessary to ensure our safety and we all had a fun time going shopping in Thamel for anything missing. The accommodations they organized along the route were very comfortable and in some cases (for eg in Namrung) quite unique! The food along the route was for the most part excellent and our lunch stops, often in quaint villages, were gorgeous! The pace set by the guides on the trek worked extremely well to allow for acclimatization for the 5100m Larke Pass. There were some sketchy portions along the trail where waterfalls had washed away the path or because the storms in October resulted in a number of landslides and the guides made sure that we were able to safely cross these areas. Finally I have to say that it was wonderful to be able to chat with Adri and Gelje along the route and hear about their amazing experiences! I will be returning to Nepal to trek with AGA Adventures again and highly recommend this organization to anyone considering a trek.

We did the Manaslu Circuit Trek with AGA in Nov 2025. This was our second trip with Adri and Gelje (EBC Trek in April 2025) and it was fantastic. Our guides and porters worked very hard to ensure that we had the best experience, but AGA is so much more than a guiding company - it feels like family. We will be back!

Completed the Manaslu Trek with AGA Adventures. The trip greatly exceeded expectations mainly due to the excellent way that Adri, Gelje and their guides led the adventure. Every detail was covered and the organisation was flawless. The itinerary allowed time to enjoy not only the amazing mountain scenery but also explore the cultural and people aspects of the wonderful country of Nepal.

Excellent trip on many fronts, fantastic AGA guides with lots of experience to share, amazing scenery and local culture, well planned and safe itinerary preparing you well for the different phases of this trek, well chosen lodges and lunch stops with the guides ensuring everything ran efficiently.
Overall it exceeded my expectations and have come home with some great memories.

For our trekking group, completing the exhilarating Manaslu Circuit with AGA Adventures was a truly inspiring experience. Adri and Gelje are not only elite mountaineers, they are most supportive and by communicating their insights and expertise, they enriched our appreciation of this most beautiful and challenging Himalayan itinerary. We safely achieved all of our goals and enjoyed loads of great moments together, along the way.

I recently had the incredible opportunity to climb Manaslu (8,163m) with AGA adventures, and I can confidently say it was one of best and unforgettable expedition i ve been part of all thanks to the incredible team AGA adventures have gathered from superstrong guides to the most hospitable basecamp staff(and i m not kidding they are way better than luxurious hotels at hospitality!!).

From the very beginning,Gelje dai, Adri and guides constantly checked on every member, ensuring everyone was healthy, comfortable, and climbing within their limits; ensuring everyone’s!! Every detail—from logistics to training to acclimatization schedules—was carefully thought out, with safety always being the top priority.

The guides and basecamp team were truly exceptional. Their strength, experience, and positive energy made all the difference on the mountain. Basecamp itself felt like a luxury retreat despite the extreme environment—incredible food, comfortable tents, and every possible need taken care of(AGAIN luxury hotels will have a hard time competing with AGA’s basecamp staff’s hospitality)

What stood out the most was the family-like atmosphere which was possible due to well thought out and curated perfect team size. Even tho everyone had their own personal guides; Every guide and team member were checking on each climbers all the way from basecamp to the summit. The encouragement, and constant support created a sense of belonging that kept morale high throughout the expedition which resulted in 100% SUMMIT success.

Last but not the least, highly recommend AGA to anyone thinking of climbing in Nepal or big mountains around the world.

I did the Manaslu Expedition with AGA Adventures, and it was beyond amazing - my first 8000m climb turned into the adventure of a lifetime! From airport pickup to summit, everything was handled with precision and care.

The Sherpas, Adriana, and Gelche were absolute legends - supportive, funny, and felt more like family than guides. The food? Gourmet level at base camp! Yes, there was an espresso machine at 4800m.

What stood out most was how organized and responsive the entire AGA team was - even in the remotest corners, they made magic happen. I’d trust them with any expedition, anywhere in the world.

What an amazing adventure and experience with AGA Adventures this year on Manaslu. This was an opportunity of lifetime for me to share an 8000er with Adriana and her incredible company. And of course Gelje and the great team of Sherpas and support staff who made this such a memorable trip. The attention to detail was simply beyond words - from the amazing food and incredible basecamp - to the individual luxury tents that became home for 3 weeks. Adriana thought of every detail to make the client experience second to none. From the moment we arrived in Kathmandu it was not just an expedition we were immediately part of the AGA family (and myself literally 😂). The Ambassador hotel in which the clients stayed in Kathmandu is amazing, the restaurants we visited for the client dinners - Forrest and Plate, Fire and Ice, and of course Sherpa Barista - were each outstanding. With great planning we arrived on time to Samaguan - and stayed a couple of nights to acclimatise before trekking to base camp. Basecamp was a wonderful experience of comfort, incredible food and great times with a group of amazing people from all over the world. Adri and Gelje were attentive and supportive throughout and shared stories, provided tips and advice and of course essential safety training. The weather which can be unpredictable on Manaslu in Autumn granted us a few fine days for a summit window and it was testament to the strong clients and even stronger Sherpas that we had 100% summit success! So what do you get with AGA Adventures that makes this amazing expedition company stand out from all the rest? For me - it’s down to three unique qualities - 1. You get full commitment and attention of Adriana Brownlee and Gelje Sherpa - who, between them have summitted over 30 x 8000m peaks and hold multiple Guinness Records; 2. Safety is paramount - mountains are dangerous and there will always be risks that are beyond your control - having Gelje Sherpa at the helm of the expedition as a director of AGA and Principal Guide - helps to minimise these risks and greatly increase your chances of a successful and safe summit. Gelje is the most famous Sherpa for high altitude mountain rescues (see his famous rescue of a stricken client at 8500m on Everest - CNN / YouTube). 3. Fun and Family - this is a special and unique quality of climbing or trekking with AGA - it’s a small family business and therefore you immediately become part of that family and not just a number in and amongst numerous clients - as AGA keep the overall client numbers per expedition low to maintain that incredible customer experience, attention to detail and family feel. Finally, as I sign off, of course I am a tiny bit biased as I am Adriana’s dad - but I am absolutely her biggest critic too (just ask her 😂) - but I promise you - when you next climb or trek with AGA Adventures - you will have the time of your life! Climbing Manaslu with AGA Adventures was an incredible experience. The logistics were seamless, safety was always prioritized, and the guides were skilled, supportive, and genuinely caring. It was a privledge to be the first team to be at AGAs new base camp set up, it was comfortable with great food . Adri and Gelje delivered a challenging yet unforgettable 8,000m expedition. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure!

I recently summited Manaslu (8,163m) with AGA Adventures and the entire experience was outstanding from start to finish. The organisation, safety standards and professionalism of the team were world-class. Every detail from logistics in Kathmandu to the care and coordination at base camp was handled flawlessly. Our guides were not only highly skilled and experienced, but also genuinely caring and encouraging throughout the climb. The constant support made all the difference on our final summit push. The acclimatisation schedule was excellent, and I always felt safe and well looked after. The base camp itself was a fantastic set up with little touches to make sure the team was always comfortable, five star food every day, and team morale at a constant high. Adri and Gelje delivered exactly what they promised, a challenging 8,000m expedition that truly was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I’ll never forget. Thank you team AGA!

This is my 3rd trek in Nepal and my experience with AGA’s team is incomparable in terms of professional advice, team spirit, attention to detail, choice of accommodation and such, and logistics planning especially in the case of unpredictable weather.

Adri and Gelje head a tight team of guides and porters who were super attentive to each and everyone in the group, which was pretty huge and yet managed impeccably. Even with my issues with AMS as we got towards the end segments of the trek up, the team especially Adri, Rame, Naresh, Pasang, Sonam really took care of me. All in all, i had a fantastic experience and highly recommend AGA! Pretty sure you’re not going to get a great trekking experience combined with fun times with pro mountaineers anywhere else.

I used them for an Everest Basecamp Trek and would 100% recommend. The leaders Adri and Gelje are incredible mountaineers and their expertise and experience were invaluable, ensuring safety and confidence amongst the group.

The whole expedition was immaculately organised and the guides were amazing. I felt lucky to be able to deal with the altitude without problems, but I suspect that this was more to do with AGAs guidance and advice than anything else. The lodges and lunch spots were excellent, and the welcome and celebration dinners in Kathmandu added to the feeling that we were valued guests more than clients. All of this helped the group to gel and added to the enjoyment. An amazing experience, and I wouldn't use anyone else.

From the moment I arrived at the airport to first class hotel in Kathmandu everything was world. Class.

They take care of everything and every last detail is covered.

Even bad weather and closed lukla airport dose not cause them a problem they have plan b and. C and we flew to another airport then helicopter to lukla and everything kept on track.

Adri and Gelje and the whole AGA Adventures team go over and beyond and are totally world class.

The lodges they use are the highest level and food was first class and really great.

You totally feel safety is the priority and you are looked after all the timer by the team never feel rushed or left behind. The trip was perfect in every way and i would recommend this company to
Everyone and anyone.

If you want to go with best don’t look anywhere else.

Super well organised trip. Everything ran smoothly. Guides were super friendly and knowledgable. Adriana and Gelje are legends of the game. The group itself was a great mix of people. Lodges and meals were as good as they get on the trek. Couldn’t have asked for anything more, aside a few less clouds, but we won’t hold that to them. Thank you so much AGA! Would and will definitely recommend to anyone and everyone.

Recently completed the EBC trek with AGA adventures. An incredible experience run by a brilliant team.

Adri, Gelje and the entire AGA Advantures team go above and beyond for their clients. I climbed Lobuche East and Ama Dablam with them and they were amazing every step of the way. The client to guide ratio on the mountains was 1:1 which is so important to feel safe. You never felt rushed or left behind. They have a very client focused team with safety always being the number 1 priority. I highly recommend AGA and I will be climbing with them again next time I'm in Nepal.

We had an incredible journey to the roof of Africa. We felt well informed and well taken care of the entire time, and the team at AGA (Ardiana and Gelje) and the local guides and cooks they partnered with were incredible.
