It’s really difficult to put our Boswana trip into words, except to say that my wife and I shed tears of delight when we first stepped out onto Mombo camp's entry platform and viewed the wide expanse of delta and animals adjacent to the camp. The facilities were superb, and the management (Peter & Faith) and personnel were spectacular. We were treated like royalty the entire time, and it was by far the best vacation of our lives, and we've travelled all over the world.
Sitting around the "bush TV" (firepit) at night was a wonderful experience after spending most of the day exploring and viewing wildlife. Ike got us into a LandCruiser less than an hour after arrival (30 hrs after leaving home in California), and it was well worth the effort, as we discovered a Leopard that had just dragged an Impala into a tree, which we were able to view within 20ft. Cheetahs, Rhinos, Elephants, Impala, Warthogs, Hippos, Zebras, Giraffe, Water Buffalo, Lions (2 of them actually walked thru our camp area!) in 3 days of touring; what more could you ask for?
Special thanks to Dave at Africa Odyssey, who helped figure out the time of year, number of days to stay, and all the transfers needed to get there.
Nothing to worry about the entire trip, except to just enjoy the scene.
There’s so much more to see that I hope we can make future plans for a return trip.
Scott at African Odyssey organised the perfect trip for our large group of family and friends. We started with a chimpanzee encounter in Entebbe, then stay at Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge to trek the gorillas in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest which was an absolute life highlight. Next we toured the genocide memorials in Kigali and on to Legendary Mobile Tented Camp to witness the wildebeest migration in the Serengeti. We were overwhelmed by this whole experience. We saw a lion kill, a literal zebra road crossing and animals as far as the eye could see. The food, service, drinks by the fire and glamping was the best we could have hoped for, and felt like such an adventure. Baraza Resort in Zanzibar lived up to all glamorous expectations and the rooms were enormous. Giraffe Manor in Nairobi, Kenya, was beyond belief. The giraffe encounters were extraordinary but so is the manor itself. Every room, a delight and the photos just don't do it justice. And finally Sasaab Lodge was the icing on the cake of a trip of a lifetime. We had a Samburu warrior tracker in stunning traditional dress and Masai warrior elder accompany us on every safari game drive, to the warrior's village where his sister was married, and later to sunset rock for sundowners. Thank you African Odyssey for making everything so easy for us. Everything went like clockwork. Truly wonderful memories.
Great locations, great coordination of transport between locations. Meant no worrying about the arrangements and let us enjoy the experience of the vacation. Highly recommended.
Was looking to book a safari as a one-off 50th birthday treat for my wife. Knew which country we wanted, and had an idea about locations. Contacted multiple agents and Africa Odyssey were prompt in replying, provided plenty of information, responded quickly to questions, and offered very good value for money. Booking was easy, and a really nice app was provided with all itinerary details available on it. Relevant information was passed on to the lodges - dietary needs (g/f) were catered for, and birthday cake (with associated singing) provided at two of the three camps. An additional (later) request for a sky bed at Hyena Pan was also handled efficiently.
Unfortunately a motorway incident on the way to the airport caused us to miss the outgoing flights. Upon arrival at the airport, flights were rescheduled by the airline at no additional cost. Contacted Africa Odyssey on the emergency email to notify of new flight dates and times - received response within the hour confirming that the Lodge had been notified and transfers rearranged.
Overall, we would definitely recommend Africa Odyssey to anyone considering going on safari.
We had an amazing holiday booked through Africa Odyssey. We went to South Africa for safari and then Madagascar for a beach holiday. They expertly guided us through the process and their knowledge and experience was invaluable. I can't recommend Marc and the team enough if you are thinking of booking a similar holiday.
Smooth planning, great & flawless execution.
Everything as described.
Fantastic people on the ground! Attentive, knowledgeable and passionate.
A truly exceptional experience!
I have travelled to Africa a bunch of times, using a bunch of different booking agents. I now use Africa Odyssey exclusively. Not only are they experts, but their prices are reasonable, and they are there if you need them if something goes wrong.
Highly recommended!!
Our extended family of 7 had a wonderful time in Africa. Our experiences exceeded our expectations. African Odessey did a great job in organizing our travels.
I would hav no hesitation in recommending Africa Odysey to organise an experience, as our Tanzanian trip was totally well organised, we were met and supported at each stage and it was great value for money. I would be happy to speak to prospective clients and share our experiences.

Good advice and got the details right - better value than some of the bigger operators
They were great at attending to details, such as airport pick-ups, and I liked the phone app with all the info we needed for our holiday.

We thoroughly enjoyed every element of our trip to Tanzania. It came at a high dollar cost, but was worth every penny and exceeded our expectations. Our expectations were high because of the cost, but they were met flawlessly - thanks for the good work and fine selection of travel partners to host us on our trip.
The driver and the guide (Albert) from Asilia were exceptional, we really enjoyed our time with Albert. He was attentive and very personable. When we returned to Rivertrees at the end of our trip he took us out on a full day adventure of the area around Arusha. His guidance at the beginning of our trip was truly outstanding as well.
Rivertrees is a great location and beautiful setting. Food was very good and personnel were engaging.
All three lodges (Plantation, Singita Mara, Faru Faru) for the safari expeditions were over the top (all fives by our reckoning) and provided a fine experience from all perspectives. Attention to detail and personal service were above and beyond. Animal viewing was exceptional and the guides were among the best we have enjoyed in our African trips.
So, fine job, thanks for your efforts on putting this together.
George at Africa Odyssey was most helpful and patient with all the itinerary amendments. Nothing was a problem and in Africa everything worked exactly as he had planned so we had no worries. A great holiday - Thanks George.
Africa Odyssey organised a fabulous holiday for us in Tanzania. In summary everything worked perfectly - the transfers were seamless, the service was excellent, the guides were superb, Coastal Aviation were great, the food in all the safari camps were super and the Nomad Safari camps were fabulous and absolutely wonderful. Honestly it was all flawless and Africa Odyssey and Nomad Tanzania were absolutely superb.
We really appreciated the service Africa Odyssey provided and the good natured approach to everything.. Responding immediately to all our questions, addressing any issues promptly, great organisation and loved the app!!

We have been on many safaris in the last 25 years but this is the best company we have dealt with. All our transfers in Tanzania and Pemba were slick and even with a 10 minute window between flights we had people waiting for us to whisk us onto the plane. They use the safest and most reliable airline for the smaller flights connecting to the safari camps. The lodges they helped us choose were amongst the best we've stayed in and they got us a cheaper deal than we could ourselves. Their pre holiday advice was helpful and the app they linked into was very helpful when we were away. In the words of our teenage son 'this was the best holiday we have ever been on'

How can we describe what we just did over a 21 day trip to Soth Africa and Namibia. First and foremost we used an excellent company out of the U.K. African Odyssey and their consultant Dave Fuller to arrange our entire trip. We visited Chitwa Chitwa in the Sabi Sands of South Africa. What a fantastic sighting of animals. Four kills including a double leopard kill. Six separate leopard sightings including a leopard who decided our outdoor deck was his watering hole. Highly recommend Chitwa Chitwa and if you go Suprise was as good a guide as anyone in Souh Africa. The camp is five stars in every aspect. African Odyssey booked us into The Fairlawns Boutique Hotel in Jo'burg and all that we will say is WOW. great choice with everything you can imagine available. They treated both my wife and myself as if we were royalty. Then African Odyssey created an eight day excursion thru Namibia. My wif and I have been married for 46 years, we have traveled to over 96 countries. We never experienced anything like Namibia. We stayed at Little Kulala, Hoanib Skeleton Coast, and Sera Cafems. All three camps are owned and operated by Wilderness Safari's. Whomever reads this review pack your bags and go to Namibia. Namibia is really Out Of This World. what a rewarding safari with a treasure chest of memories. We finished our trip with an overnight era in Cape Town and then we spent the last 3 nights in Kynsa on the Western Cape of South Africa. We stayed st Conrad Pezula All I can say we stayed in a four room villa that included a full kitchen and was decorated first class. Once again we were treated like we were the only guests at the property. Within a day everyone knew our names and the entire staff went beyond the call of service.I must state one final fact about African Odyssey. W are Americans living full time in the US . we found African Odyssey on the internet. Their pricing was 15 percent cheaper for the same itinerary that we were quoted by American tour operators. Also they advertise that they are available 24/7 and we can attest that they were their to answer and assist at 10:30 PM London time. We have been home for five days and we have d chided to use African Odyssey for a return trip to Africa next year This time a return trip to Botswana
Had a great honeymoon in southern Tanzania and was very happy with Africa Odyssey's role. They were very helpful recommending lodges and sent useful pre-trip information, as well as organizing logistics between airports and lodges. It didn't hurt that they offered the most competitive rate against other agencies I reached out to. Highly recommend!
Fantastic trip! Everything went smoothly to plan, and all accommodation suggestions from Dave were amazing. Highly recommend, will be using again.
Great recommendations that resulted in a great trip.
