Perfect retreat

We stayed at half term with the Grandchildren. The house had 4 comfortable bedroom. Lovely patio area on lower ground floor. Well equiped clean and easy to self check in. The only problem was the front door opened straight onto a narrow pavement on a very busy road. We just used the back door.

Prompt responses

Prompt responses, great property photos, tidy and clean.
But check before you book: is the bikes shed secured with the lock, do you need to bring bike in via house hall/rooms.

Riverside in Glyncorrwg

We stayed at Riverside in Glyncorrwg and it was wonderful. Comfy, clean and cool accommodation - my 10 year old niece loved the big screen. And perfect setting, overlooking the river with a terrace that got the afternoon sun and wonderful walks from the door. A very quiet village with no through traffic.
The cafe in the bike centre serves yummy (and huge) bacon butties! The only warning is that the footpaths and bridleways on the other side of the valley bear no resemblance to the map - but the forest makes up for that!

The house specious and clean

The house was lovely, clean and suitable for our stay the beds and bed lining was spotless, shower gel in both showers and the downstairs toilets was a bonus. The kitchen was fully equipped and we did have a meal in one night. The only reason I have given four stars is because of the parking and living room. The living room is to the front of the house and seems close to the road but the road isn’t to busy, you can park at the back of the house but is quite tight so we parked on the hill next to the house. We did have a great weekend.
Thank you Sarah

Appalling customer service - avoid at all cost

We booked the accommodation at 2 Thomas Street Merthyr Tydvil.

The house was advertised as having 4 beds which were all needs for our four guests but when we arrived there was only 3 beds. This meant that one of guests had an uncomfortable night sleeping on the sofa.

When i messaged the property owner, she blamed the error on Booking.com.

When i asked for a refund or some compensation for the poor guest who slept on the sofa, the property manager Sarah had the audacity to accuse us having illegal drugs in the property as a means of avoiding responsibility for the false advertising.

I would strongly recommend you avoid this accommodation provider on the basis that if anything goes wrong their customer service is appalling.

A lovely setup in wonderful surroundings

I stayed in the Trail which is on the lower floor of the building. The setup was very well done with a double room and a second room with bunk beds. The kitchen was well presented and had everything one would need when self catering. The highlight was the living area in the conservatory surrounded by vast decking outside.
The location is in a lovely spot up the valley only a short distance from the motorway but far enough to feel really rural.
I would recommend walking the Trail behind the residence as the views were beautiful.
Check in and out couldn't have been simpler.
Thoroughly recommend.

What a great place to stay and a superb location. The house is amazing, really modern, clean and spacious.
It’s the perfect place not only to go mountain biking but also hiking and exploring this beautiful part of Wales set in an idyllic village in the mountains.
There’s also a lovely little terrace outside the back overlooking a river. I would highly recommend staying here.
The host was really lovely also and responsive. Self check in, so easy.

Great house and beautiful place to stay

Great house and beautiful place to stay. 2 minutes from the mountain bike trails. There were 4 of us so having 2 bathrooms was a real bonus. The host Sarah was prompt to answer questions and helped us make the most of our stay. Will definitely be returning
