Many customers found the customer service to be unhelpful and difficult to access, often reporting issues with unknowledgeable representatives, missed calls, and automated responses that offered no real solutions. People frequently encountered problems with campaign management, including ads being rejected for unclear reasons, campaigns not running, and unauthorized spending. Reviewers also expressed significant dissatisfaction with promotional offers and credits, often finding them misleading or difficult to claim, leading to unexpected charges. Google ads have been charging my card…

Google ads have been charging my card and I don’t even have an account. I have a subscription to google home, because I use their cameras. Now google ads have charged my card around 300€ and tried charging me another 300€ which resulted in my card getting blocked. I have never made ads on google, and they are illegally charging my cards. I am now thinking to have no subscription which includes google. DONT GIVE GOOGLE YOUR CARD INFORMATION

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I raised a dispute about charges, but instead of helping, they simply insisted the charges were valid without addressing my concerns. The support was dismissive and unhelpful, and I was left feeling ignored.

I asked to escalate the matter to a manager, but the process has been frustrating and slow. This company does not seem to value customer satisfaction or take complaints seriously.

Would not recommend based on my experience.

Google Ads Took My Last Loan Money – No Refund, No Human Support After 3 Months Effort

I invested my last loan amount into Google Ads, hoping to grow my small business.
In total, I spent $355 USD over 3 months of continuous campaigns. I followed all policies, targeted relevant audiences, and kept my account in good standing.

Despite all this:

0 real customers gained

Google Ads charged the full amount without delivering results

No human support — only automated responses

Refund request ignored for weeks

When my ads underperformed, I reached out to support multiple times, providing campaign IDs, screenshots, and proof of performance issues.
Each time, I received only template replies and was redirected to help pages — no actual resolution.

For a company of Google’s scale, it’s shocking to see this lack of accountability when small business owners and individuals are trusting them with their last financial resources.

I am requesting:

A full refund of $355 USD

Transparent explanation of why the campaigns failed despite following best practices

Real human support for advertisers facing financial losses

If you’re planning to invest in Google Ads, please double-check your budget and be prepared for very limited support when things go wrong.
This experience has left me financially and emotionally drained, and I hope my review warns others before they lose their hard-earned money.

Don’t waste your time - use Microsoft ads instead

Not sure where to get started

I had a shopify store a year ago which suffered the unending “misrepresentation policy, failed appeal, cool-down period, closed support ticket” loop for Christmas clothing, and couldn’t resolve it before the festive season ended, leaving me unable to run ads or sell anything

I contacted constantly asking for details on what element(s) we’re causing the policy issue, and no one had the brains to respond or give me any information to help me resolve the issue, but they failed to give any information and suspended my account

This month I decided to revisit to resolve and got the exact same treatment of failed appeals and suspended account and lack of help

I resolved the issue myself by deleting my account, creating a new one and starting fresh and this time everything is approved - highlighting Google’s incompetency and lack of consistency and flawed policies

Go to Microsoft and run your ads there - lots of people use bing and customer service is better

Absolute worst company to deal with

Absolute worst company to deal with, support has absolutely no clue at all. We have a $50000 budget and Google can't figure out how to get our ad up. Wild. I can only imagine how much money they are losing.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. Use any other option. Customer support is terrible, the platform is not user friendly, and their “free credit” after you spend a certain amount is a scam. The support team is hard to get ahold of, and when you finally do, it is in some third world country call center where you can barely hear them because of background noise and strong accents, and if you manage to figure out what they are saying, they basically can’t do anything to help you and they just blame it on the automated system.

Google Ads absolute garbage and scam

We used run ads on google very often. What it has done for our business till now is just scammed us thousands of dollars.
You can't properly see what is really happening, can't even see what people are clicking. Often we get spam clicks.
And the worst of all is these google ads experts that keep calling and contacting us. If stealing money was not enough they push you to spend more.
They automatic suggestions are absolute garbage.
The worst platform you can advertise

Scammers

Almost every every review here is terrible for a reason. Google ads are almost impossible to get through to and when I got a call after several weeks of filling in the form they hung up on me. Money was coming out of my account without my knowledge. Secondly I met all the criteria for the £400 credit and they refused to give me it. Thirdly I was spending more on google ads than I was making in customers and finally the account was turned on without my consent.

Spent £500+ and got zero conversions – no help from Google

I run a small landscaping and tree work business and decided to try Google Ads to generate leads. I followed all the advice I was given: created targeted ad groups, added negative keywords, optimised my site and contact options—and still ended up with over 800 clicks and not a single tracked conversion.

What’s worse is that my assigned Google optimisation rep completely stopped replying when I raised concerns. I’ve now spent over £500 and received nothing but vague reassurances and suggestions to “wait for the learning phase” or “increase my budget.” That’s not support—that’s burn and churn.

Google Ads is powerful, but if you’re a small business without conversion tracking expertise or deep pockets, you’re just feeding money into the system without much help. Be very cautious.

Google beware of ordering anything they advertise

Trust pilot is they’re anything you can do to stop Google scamming people with their adverts that are a LIE the companies don’t exist. They advertise high class products at rock bottom prices and they turn out to be rubbish sold by some factory in China: most notably Nancy London who actually showed a’picture of their supposed store in London … it doesn’t exist.
Sophia Brown another scam. Lynn a fictional person supposed to be retiring and selling her jewellery really cheaply. A monologue telling how she started out as a young
jeweller blah ! Blah ! Absolute rubbish.
These companies and people do not exist.
I have complained to Google but they say these adverts do not contravene their standards. Obviously they do not have very high n standards.

Google ads is a scam and practice…

Google ads is a scam and practice indecency. They lie to customers about receiving certain credit when you spend a certain amount. Our account has spent more than 80k in 5 months and never received the $2500 they promised I’ll get. Talked to support, account rep, opened 3 cases and received irrelevant feedback and they even closed my cases with no resolution. I’m absolutely disgusted by them. This empire will fall apart soon with that many fraudulent promises

Unauthorized $50K Charges — No Urgent Support or Escalation

We’ve been a loyal Google Ads customer for over three years, consistently spending under $1,800/month. Suddenly, without warning, over $50,000 in ad charges were accrued in just two days for a campaign we did not create, advertising a product completely unrelated to our business and a website which is fraudulent.

We immediately paused all campaigns and reached out to support — but we’ve received only generic email replies, no phone support, and no sign of meaningful investigation or urgency. It's been over a week, and this is jeopardizing our business.

We expected better fraud detection, better customer service, and better accountability from a company like Google. A spending spike of this size, on a suspicious campaign that links to a sketchy third-party site, should have triggered red flags — but instead, we were left in the dark.

We are demanding a full investigation and a refund of these charges before we are forced to escalate this further through formal complaints and chargebacks.

Conmen and fraudsters

Conmen and fraudsters. They gave me an offer of £1,200 credits when i spent £2,400 on google ads. and kept me updated throughout telling me how far off I was. I hit the target a couple of days before the deadline, having increased spend significantly. They then asked me to go through KYC which in itself was very complex and had to do it about 3 or 4 times because they disapproved it!!! They then removed my credit of £1,200 . It seems like companies like this worth 100's of billions of pounds ill use every trick they can to get people to spend hard earned money with then and then screw them over. Google you are fraudulently taking money off people and because of your size, no-one cares or does anything about it. Your customer service people have been told to say the same thing over and over and rob people of their money.

Amount Deducted Without Campaign – No Response or Refund! Very Disappointing

I recently set up my Google Ads account with the help of a so-called "Google Expert" who guided me through basic account setup for my clothing brand – P&S Trendz.

I was told that a campaign manager would be assigned to me who would help create and launch my first ad campaign. But before any campaign was created or even discussed, ₹1000 was auto-deducted from my account under the “daily budget” setting, which I did not authorize for actual spending yet.

I tried reaching out for clarification, assuming this might be a technical error. But to my surprise, I was told that refunds are not possible, even though:

No campaign has been created

No ads have been shown or approved

I never got to speak with the campaign manager

As a small business owner just getting started with digital ads, this experience was highly disappointing and felt unfair.

I expected better transparency and support from a platform as big as Google. At the very least, a refund should be possible when no service has been delivered.

Please fix this experience for future users. We invest hard-earned money into growing our businesses — we need support, not blind deductions and vague policies.
