ADP left our paychecks out on the door in front of our business. Someone picked them up and now I'm in the process of closing and reopening payroll accounts with the bank for security. Unbelievable that a company was so lax with payroll checks. I would give a zero but was not a choice.

Honestly our experience has been beyond terrible. As an example, I have been calling for weeks now, 6 different times with trying to find out where our tax refund went that they owe us for a mistake that THEY made, and have been told 6 totally different things. Every single person says something different! They have no idea whats going on. Stay away from them.

Just look here. There are hundreds of bad reviews online saying "there is no customer service" and they all get replies. ADP must employ someone to do nothing but reply to bad reviews online. That tells you what you need to know. Reply to comment: If the vast majority of clients who need customer service don't know either what numbers to call for help or who is supposed to be requesting help versus who "isn't entitled to direct customer service", that is an ADP problem. Please don't try to contact me. I am absolutely not the contact for an ADP client.

ADP is really not there for small companies, they don't answer back, the app rarely works which will overload you with work to enter your staff hours because they can't enter it, they will often give you wrong info.
To finish, they will answer to contact your rep as an answer to this review when they perfectly know they don't assign you a rep. Fees extremely expensive for the very low quality in return. The date entered is one that follows at least 50 incidents before that of their app not working.
Do not recommend.
Edit: The answer of ADP is a lie we did not get any issue resolved and I'm still waiting on our losses to be resolved.

HORRIBLE service and super unreliable! I canceled this payroll service only after a few months of using their services because it was non-stop issues with just 1 employee! Since I canceled, the 2nd quarter tax payment they took out never got submitted and they failed to cancel the WC policy so a year later I am still getting invoices and fighting this.

Perhaps the most incompetent company I've ever worked with. I wish ADP reps had been honest and told me they didn't know how to do SCorp owner payroll. It cost me several thousand dollars to get the errors fixed by a reputable payroll company, and about two thousand in tax interest and penalties because it took so long to untangle the mess they made. They also sold me Workman's Comp insurance I didn't need and wasted hours upon hours of my time.
If you're a small business owner taking an S-Corp election, try Cirrus, or another service who has a competent and well-trained staff.
Update: you can case-in-point witness ADP’s incompetence by reading their reply below where they ask me to post personal information to them via this public review site.

I had to put one star. Adp is the absolute worst payroll system. Employees get absolutely no assistance when the HR/payroll department can't help. They make it so difficult to update personal information sending you on a continuous loop of repeat questions. Even after you have verified with date of birth, social, and other personal information, you still can't access your information. It's ridiculous.

Company has NO customer service. Can't log on. Can't change my password. Won't send the verification code. Used the password they suggested and saved it. It says incorrect password. HR person at my employer can't figure it out. ADP customer service says contact you HR person. Lol.
Haven't seen my paycheck statement in two months.

The most user unfriendly app I’ve ever used. Why would you need to constantly reset password and also then not be able to do it automatically without contacting multiple people outside of the app.

ADP's customer service leaves much to be desired. The sales team pressures you into choosing their services and then fails to communicate afterwards. We encountered numerous errors on their part during the transition process. There is no assigned customer service representative, and they do not return phone calls. Their focus seems to be more on sales rather than providing quality care for their customers. I do not recommend ADP if you are looking for quality customer service. I regret accruing all the fees and experiencing poor customer support. Additionally, be cautious of Wendy; she is very pushy and disappears after getting your signature. Proceed with caution.

I just got paid and ADP payroll services took out my benefits on a 3 payday month. Which is not supposed to happen on a 3rd paycheck within a month. There is only two months within a year that you receive 3 paychecks in those months and the 3rd check is supposed to be no benefits taken out. They took out for my benefits and told me they never consider the 3rd check a benefit free payday.. I’m highly upset and I know that is wage theft.

I have been trying to get a hold of someone from ADP and My employer regarding a wage Garnishment that was supposed to be stopped but has been continued through my employer and ADP. They have been issued a legal order from the Tax Board commissioner but still have not stopped the garnishments. I have reached out to the Tax board and my employee and my employee is giving me the run around. They have taken over $1000 from my paycheck and have not paid me back at this point. I need someone from ADP to reach out as my employee is saying you all are supposed to stop the garnishment but haven't. Please contact me immediately regarding this matter. This is crazy!!
Update as of 8/30/25. I still have not had anyone reach out to me regarding this issue. Now I have not received my paycheck for 8/29/25. I will never work for an employer who uses ADP as a payroll option. JC never contacted me. You all have my contact information which I’ve provided but nothing as of yet. It does not take a week for a call back or email send. Furthermore, why haven’t I received my paycheck? I have direct deposit so what’s going on now?

They have ZERO customer service. Their website is glitchy and there is no technical support. I understand not wanting to deal with every payroll complaint but the website is not my HR dept's problem. ADP needs to be accountable for their shortcomings. Their "request for information" is only available to employers and they will ONLY communicate with employers even if they (ADP) are the problem.

Less than a one star is not possible so I gave them an undeserved one star. I have been working out of ADP for over 20 years and this service gets worse and worse each year to the point I can fix an issue before their own Reps can, which is both sad and unacceptable. Currently on the phone (caller #3) but it's been about 40 minutes on hold so far. Everything about this company is useless from the products to the Reps, seems like nothing works there. I will be reaching out to the President of my company so that we can discuss UKG or some other useful product because ADP is not it.
