Mixed review but mainly positive with a positive outcome…

I made a claim for a cancelled holiday due to grade 3 complete rupture of knee ligament and being in a knee brace and on crutches for 3 mths before starting physio. High risk DVT on long haul flight. The claims process was long winded in terms of the number of documents I had to provide, however I had all MRI scan reports and images and a letter from the hospital consultant, therefore the claim was successful and was paid out in full (minus the £75 excess). Doctors certificate fee was also paid back due to successful claim. The claims review team were really clear and helpful on the phone when speaking but it was hard getting hold of the correct number at the start of the process, being passed from pillow to post. All worked out in the end.

Poor Service

Today I was given the good news that after my op I was cancer free. I phoned Admiral Travel Company to inform them. I was told as I had not yet had my radiotherapy they could no longer insure me. I have been with this company for years. They have spoilt was was a great day for me.

Avoid at all costs

I would give zero stars if that was possible. Admiral are very happy to take your money. I had a car accident in which I broke a few bones and was deemed unfit to travel by the hospital, which meant I could not go on holiday. admiral said the discharge letter was not sufficient and asked for a medical certificate to be completed by the gp at a further cost. They then refused to pay out on a referral that had been made regardless of the fact that there was no diagnosis and no appointment. It’s an absolute disgrace. The referral had nothing to do with the car accident or the broken bones that I incurred. Avoid at all costs.

Trying to claim £40.00 this had been going on weeks . The amount of information needed for a hospital claim is unbelievable no wonder people get annoyed.

Long claims process, haggling over money, not interested in injury or accident, disgracefully poor claims handling

3 months to miscalculate a claim, every document requested sent promptly but automated replies, multiple claim handles who have limited idea about your claim, haggling over trip cancellation whilst and after the holiday accident, needed to book our own return flights, Admiral portal information was incorrect and asking for duplicate documents, argued over holiday company and hotel dates. I would not use this company again, shambolic with no sympathy for the people involved they just want to pay as little as possible, never again.

Stress Free Booking

We recently booked a four-generation family holiday with Faye at Admiral travel and the booking process was outstanding from start to finish. Organising a trip for such a wide age range can be complicated, but Faye handled everything with professionalism, patience, and genuine care. Faye took the time to understand each family member’s needs—mobility considerations, room preferences etc and used that information to tailor a plan that worked for everyone. Communication was clear and consistent throughout: every question was answered promptly, and nothing ever felt rushed or overlooked. What truly stood out was how smoothly the entire process was. We couldn’t have asked for better! Booking a complex, multi-generational trip could have been stressful, but Faye and Admiral Travel made it incredibly easy. We highly recommend their services to anyone planning a holiday and will certainly book with them again.

Sterling Service

I am pleased to give this company it's first review. Insurance companies often ask for a review after the purchasing experience, I often wonder how you can review them at that point ,when you have had no case to use them. Today I woke up in Hurghada with severe stomach pains and despite several attempts was unable to pee or poo. I only had data access on my phone so had to phone my son back home to phone admiral. The lady at admiral jumped into action, checked for the nearest hospital gave me reference numbers so that my arrival would be smooth then told me to phone an ambulance, I told her not necessary, I would get a taxi. Everything went so smoothly. And despite having an enlarged prostate that will need operated on when I get home, 6 hours later and I am feeling much better. I wish I remembered the lady's name so I could thank her personally.
