I wouldn't send my child to them
I will write an honest review, a case description of what happened to my 20 year son. He was sent to ADHD centraal in The Hague. I thought it was a state institution but no, it's a private rip off company.
First, they didn't ask him which insurance he has, it turned out that my son's insurance doesn't work with them.
For the ONE DAY diagnostic they charged 1600€. Then they invited him to therapies, he didn't go. I told them that he moved away and that he wouldn't go. He called them and told them the same because he had moved indeed. It took us ages to get the specifications from them. In the specification they listed therapy in regard to his medication, another 1000€. My son never had any therapy with them, and he is refusing any medication. They don't send you an invoice to pay until one year later. The first letter you get is from their billing agency and with one year delay you get 1000€ more. Finally, my son, a young adult was presented with 3600€ bill, from the incasso. Luckily, his insurance was kind enough to pay some of it, ADHD Centraal paid 400 € and he still remained with more than 1700€ to keep paying slowly for a couple of years.
No consideration for his young age, for his ADD, for sending an invoice in a timely manner, no invoice before incasso...
I can not find any reference number that's why I will continue writing here. Why is ADHD centraal asking for more details? They know that 1 day diagnostic costs 1600€. They know that they don't tell people about it in advance. Otherwise my son would have said: No, thanks! They know that they didn't call him to discuss medication with him and that they charged him 1000 € for the services they didn't provide. Once again, he isn't taking any ADD medication. The only reason why I didn't sue them was the fact that they probably have good lawyers and excellent excuses and that I would just lose the case and pay even more money. You can delete my answer, no problem. But damage done to me and my son has reached the ears of my friends and trust me, their damage is bigger. It's nice to be honest and transparent, building reputation, that's how people make money, not by doing what this institution has done to us. I have the specification of the costs but by going into it, what would I accomplish? Please, remove my comment. I have no wish to communicate with ADHD Centraal.

We would like to start with the fact that we only have private healthcare institutions in The Netherlands and there are no state institutions here. This means that all health needs to be paid by yourself or a health insurance provider.
As for the high costs, ADHDcentraal adheres to the prices set by Dutch healthcare authorities.
Our diagnostic day is indeed expensive. This is because we carry out the complete diagnosis within a day, which involves many healthcare specialists. After diagnosis, the patient is always free to choose whether or not to receive treatment. If your son has indicated that he does not wish to undergo further treatment, we will refer you to your GP.
