Lovely place to visit, we just visited the museum and the café, unfortunately it was the café that let the score down, service was slow we had to ask twice for a menu before receiving it, the food eventually arrived and was excellent. The only issue we have with the food was that a dessert was labelled vegan and as my wife has a milk intolerance we thought great however when we enquired about the vegan sweet it came with a dairy based sauce so that is hardly vegan and if we hadn't asked would of caused a health reaction which is definitely not needed.

I enjoyed our visit immensely and will come again.
The introduction to the Anglo Saxon village and the times was really good Bob providing superb anecdotes to enhance this. The distillery was immaculate like a tribute to the best and most beautiful technology. Again the tour and tasting was greatly enhanced by Bobs enthusiastic description and great stories, The canapes and meal could was superb I had a very interesting mackerel main course.
In precis I was impressed by the Agdefrin vision, the by the hallway, the museum and distillery and the innovative food,

What a wonderful initiative and experience Ad Gefrin is. We have been twice and have enjoyed it enormously, and for sure we'll be back. The first visit was a tasting and a quick run around the museum. The second visit I booked the Twilight Tour and Tasting, which was a truly lovely experience from the moment we arrived, through the delightful meal to the fun whisky tasting led by Bob our excellent guide through the whole experience. Bravo Eileen Ferguson and family. We'll be back!

The place itself is lovely can not complain, but unfortunately the cafe let's it down.it took 40 min to get a cappuccino. The staff where polite and explained about big orders before us,thing is it takes less than 5 min to do a cappuccino, I've been in this trade for many years,very poor.
Have to give a big warm thank you to the woman who bought our coffee, very unexpected and made me speechless. There are nice ppl still in this world,big thank you so much to you.

We were delighted to learn that 'England's most northerly distillery has opened close to us, and what a wonderful place it is. We especially like the bistro. Good service and great flavours - the burger is to die for. We are now also proud 'Corenkyn' members and look forward to receiving our first single malt as soon as it's ready!
