I love working with prestashop in…
I love working with prestashop in general, and have been doing so for the past 7 years as shop provider.
But one thing I dislike very much is their shop for modules.
1. the chat support, don't know ANYTHING about the modules, nor the functionality of prestashop at all.If you ask them a question they will respond, "ask the developer" and then give you a 10 percent voucher.
2. You have no way to test if the module work as you need them to. The descriptions and DEMOS are usually very poor.
Are you asking the developers for specifics they usually respond, "it works as described". Well, your description is very poor, that's why I have questions.
3. If you purchase a module and the performance and quality is below your expectations, and it renders useless for your project. You will never get your money back.
I have purchased more many modules during the years, and had clients purchased modules as well.
between 5-10 modules have been lagging in functionality and performance, it is very frustrated you can't test the modules on forehand. I recently purchased a module stated it could do 4 things.... well it turned out that it could only do 2 of the four things, because the last two things was just using the default prestashop behaviour, so in reality you could only manage two of the things stated.
Another time I purchased a module for 129 EURO for my own project, And it could do as advertised....... but for ONE product only, int the demo, you where not able to create other products than the DEMO product, and it did not state this limitation ANYWHERE.
With other systems than Prestashop, you can usually get a free trial or a free version to test. But not here.
