Same as everyone else

Same as everyone else, after purchase, noticed I have done a big mistake. After many issues all I can say, I bought through PayPal, after 15 days without delivery I whent through PayPal money back, soon as I finished the statement they sent the money back straight away.
If you do the mistake from this kind of companies, make sure you have enough evidence to prove, pictures, screenshot s, receipts, email.
As I'm just make people aware if does the same as I did, if it's the same or similar case, follow the procedures to get your money back.

10 days from China, but it works ok

First off, I got my charger and it works on my Dell Latitude computer, unlike the much cheaper, so called original charger I bought and returned off eBay, which did not. That's the good news, the average news is that you have to pay via Paypal, and I don't like Paypal, the communication from the company was poor although they did respond to an enquiry after waiting for the charger 8 days, and the charger arrived from China after about 10 days. I wouldn't buy from them again because I think returning goods would be a nightmare, and they aren't truthful in their delivery times, that said. I do have a charger and it does work so my experience is better than some others.

These jokers are making out the battery…

These jokers are making out the battery is genuine when its clearly not as they have obviously screen printed an original label but on theirs they have covered the words DELL with black tape. They dont answer email or their own message box on their site. Money lost!

This company steals from you

This company steals from you. They took my money then didn’t send me the product and it’s been over 6weeks. They state it will be 10 days!
Do not buy from them and I ever encourage you to report them to every authority you can as I am doing.
Basically they take your money, have zero communication with you and don’t even send the product. They are based out of China so what can we expect.

Bought item thinking company was UK based

ordered a laptop battery thinking this company was based in the UK. After they took my money it became clear to me that they are based in China. I did not receive any email confirmation of the order and after reading the terrible reviews here I tried to get a refund but could not contact them. I opened a dispute claim with my bank and then waited. After about a month a package was posted through my door which contained the laptop battery! installed now and seems to be working fine. From reading the reviews here it seems I was lucky. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM AND ALWAYS CHECK THE SELLER IS IN FACT UK BASED ( I hope I remember my own advice for the future )

Dell XPS 13 Battery

I ordered a battery for a Dell XPS 13 (9370) laptop as Dell no longer regularly stocks these. Ordered on 4th Feb, received a confirmation email on 6th Feb that it was on it's way, and it arrived on 20th Feb. Screwdrivers for installment were included with the battery at no extra charge. One fitted but the other two weren't an ideal fit but I already had a tool kit so it wasn't an issue. Battery works perfectly as I write this 3 weeks later. One star deducted for the unexpected delay as the email on the 6th had a link to Yodel and after a week of monitoring the tracking feature I called them up to find out they had yet to receive the package. I then went to the reviews and realised why there was a delay so crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. A rough expected deliver time in their initial email rather than it "will take a few days" would have been appreciated. Overall I'm very satisfied.

Don't buy from this people

Don't buy from this people. They post it from China and it takes over 4 weeks to deliver. There is no customer services and no communication from them. Waist of time

Purchased a battery for my laptop

Purchased a battery for my laptop. Chosen because this was the only site that quoted the part number. Slightly more expensive than other options but with free delivery. Purchased on 27th January, shipped on 4th February with correct Royal Mail tracking number, arrived in UK on 13th February and delivered to me on 17th February. Might have chosen another supplier if I had been given a correct waiting time (original estimate of 6 days), though I was in no hurry. Part exactly as described and worked perfectly, so reasonably happy.

My order wasn't confirmed for days, you said you had dispatched the item but it is not recognised when I try to track it even though it's several days later. Been a week now since ordering and no sign of item. Wished I hadn't bought from you now.

Do not use this company to purchase a…

Do not use this company to purchase a battery. You receive an order confirmation on screen though no follow up receipt of the order or invoice. I have contacted the company three times via email and their contact is form. No replies. They take your money and do not provide any goods

Failed customer services…

After entering all relevant information and ordering a replacement charger for my laptop the one I received is the wrong size. I have tried contacting the company to return the incorrect item and all my attempts to correspond with them have been ignored. To make matters worse I had to pay an extra £7 to royal mail as the p&p costs for the useless item didn’t cover the delivery price. Complete waste of my time and money which I’m struggling to get a refund for. Dreadful company

Ordered a battery

Ordered a battery, for my Dell laptop, on the 25th November. (Website says it should take 1 day to process order and delivery 4 - 6 days). Did not receive a confirmation email. After realising that the retailer is not a UK seller but in China, started to be a bit suspicious. On the 27th/28th, left a number of messages and chats with Adapterfamily, to find out if my order had been processed and delivery date - no answer.
On 29th received a polite email with a tracking number and link to Yodel. Went onto Yodel and entered the quoted tracking number - to my surprise, Yodel sys 'we have it'. Great I thought, so tried to update 'safe place' instructions, but this was greyed out due to 'not yet received your parcel details from retailer' - uh !
Initiated a number of chats with Yodel - waste of time - no answer. So gave Yodel a call, put through to automated call handler - gave last 4 digits of tracking number and postcode, 'she' came back with my full tracking number and said it is in their central depot, and 'can't give any further information'.
I'll give it a few more days and see what happens. And update my review here.

UPDATE:
Early December received another email stating 20 days to be delivered, with link to 17Track website.

Monitoring this 17Track website at 16th December, my item has been 20 days in transit. Still no further update from Yodel or Adapterfamily when my item will be delivered.
I believe Yodel is in cahoots with Adapterfamily in defrauding the customer.

UPDATE - 20/12/24
Checked back with 17Track website and it states my parcel is at Yodels 'national hub'. Yodel tracker has my parcel 'Arriving by Saturday 21st December' - tomorrow.

UPDATE - 22/12/24
Parcel was not delivered. Yodel 'Tracker' has removed the day/date for delivery. At this stage, can't be sure who is to blame - A'F' or Yodel. Between A'F' and Yodel, they have succeeded in making this whole experience dreadful.

UPDATE - 26/12/24
Item was received 23/12/24 (See my Yodel review) - 1 month after my order. Website says 4 - 6 days to be delivered. Emails and chats never replied. Item damaged - one of the lugs broken - life is too short to even attempt to get it sorted.

Replacement Battery Order

I ordered a replacement battery for my HP laptop from adapterfamily.co.uk on 25th October..By the 29th October I was told that Yodel had it...then no further update for another 9 days. I contacted Yodel and they could not confirm they had the item, nor did they know where the item might be. I contacted adapterfamily several times via email and via their chatline...it was very hit or miss...the chatline seesm to be dead 99% of the time, but I did get through once, and spoke to a Manager named Jason...he apologised for the delay and said he would refund my payment if the item did not arrive by 4th November...it did not arrive. I contacted adapterfamily several times by email to request my refund, but got no reply. Now Yodel have said that because the delivery status has not been updated for 8 days, they have issued a "Return to Sender" instruction and I should contact the seller about the non-delivery! Reading other reviews (Oh how I wish I had read them prior to placing my order!) I shall wait another week to see if the laptop battery turns up...but I have learned my lesson! Check out websites thoroughly! Even if it has a co.uk address, do not trust it, and if you are chatting to a Jason, there is no guarantee that person is in the UK. This website is either a very badly run business who are incredibly poor at communicating...or it is a scam. Beware!

Pleasantly surprised

I read the reviews after I ordered from this company, and the one star reviews had me a bit worried. However I was pleasantly surprised to receive my item within the time stated, but also that the item worked. I'd be happy to order from them again.

This people at adapterfamily are excellent I had an issue with my order, which as soon as I contacted them was rectified.
I found them to be very professional in their business dealing and would happily recommend them as a company.
