Dear Sir,
We successfully designed, developed, and delivered the website as agreed. After completion, the client provided hosting access, and the website was migrated to the client’s server on 19th November, where it was functioning properly.
After the migration, the client changed the hosting and WordPress login credentials, and we no longer had visibility or control over the server environment or access usage. We also cannot confirm whether the credentials were shared with third parties or if any server-level changes were made during this time.
Our review shows that malware/unwanted files started appearing from 17th December, well after the credentials were changed. This indicates a server or security-related issue, not a website development or coding issue.
Additionally, the client had previously informed us that their other server was already facing similar malware and security problems. Based on this, we recommended moving to a new server, which the client agreed to and purchased. However, repeated malware infections strongly suggest issues related to server security, hosting configuration, or infected local systems (PCs/laptops) used to access the website, which are outside our control.
Website development was completed successfully and delivered in working condition. Security, malware prevention, and server protection are the responsibility of the hosting provider and server environment, not the development team.
We always aim to support our clients professionally, but it is important to distinguish between development responsibilities and hosting/security management, which are separate services.
