Don’t use ACE Windows NE

I would not recommend this company to anyone. Poor customer service, poor quality products, failure to refund monies owed in a timely manner as according to their own accounts team ‘they didn’t make their forecast’ for that period, so they were unable to refund any customer monies owed. Windows faulty upon delivery, further windows ordered and again faulty, surveyors not ordering the correct window specifications - the list goes on and on - do not use ACE Windows.

Extremely upset customer

Not a good experience with this company.
The sales people come out and you have lengthy conversations about what your requirements are, they then quote you a price. You pay half the price as a deposit then they send a surveyor round to measure up who then comes back and says you need more done than what you were quoted for. Would make sense to send the surveyor out first so that the price you pay the deposit in is accurate. Im not disputing the extra work that needed done just saying it should be done the other way round. On the plus side the lads who fitted the windows and doors were brilliant they were respectful of the Property, tidy and friendly and they did a very neat job of the windows and doors.
My problem came when they brought the front door out and it wasn't the one we had chosen. As they had already took my door out I had to have it fitted. They sent me a copy of the contract saying that's the door I ordered but the wrong door had clearly been put on the order form and I was made to feel like it was my fault when it was clearly the wrong door that was put on the order form. I kept being referred back to the contract and the wording on it. If you work in windows and doors it might be clear to you that it was wrong but I'm just a normal person who doesn't work with this terminology day in day out and like any normal person I expected the door we had discussed and chosen to be on the contract.
The company offered to rectify it at a cost to me which I declined and the salesman left me in tears in my home as he would not admit the error was his. Use this company as they do a good job but be careful if there are any mistakes as you will just be blamed and have to accept it.
Their people also rang me to organise a fitting date which I chose as Monday and i took a day's holiday only to find that it was booked in for 2 days and nobody told me that. This caused additional stress and anxiety as I had to rejig my whole week as I had nobody that could sit in while the work was carried out.
Communication needs to be improved and I think before you take someone's door off would be good customer service to show them what you are replacing it with beforehand or if the salesperson went back through what had been ordered rather than expecting you to understand what's on a contract.
