Dispute of Unacknowledged 30-Day Cancellation Policy

I was a trusted accessiBe partner for over two years and brought more than 12 clients to the platform, both through my account and outside of it. I recommended accessiBe in good faith because I trusted the company and believed it was a good solution for my clients.

Now, when I am trying to cancel due to the high pricing and the fact that my clients no longer want to continue, I am being told there is a new 30-day cancellation policy that prevents me from canceling before renewal. Many of these accounts are still weeks away from renewing, and I never signed, checked a box, or formally acknowledged this policy change.

Being told that an email was sent is not enough for a material change like this. accessiBe sends frequent emails as part of its normal business communication, and a major change affecting billing, cancellation rights, and client renewals should have required clear acknowledgment, a signed acceptance, or direct communication from an account manager. I had an account manager, and no one actually contacted me to make sure I understood or agreed to this change.

As a California resident and business owner, this feels extremely unfair and potentially problematic. My clients are now being charged roughly $600 each, six accounts total, for a service they do not want to continue. I am the one who recommended accessiBe, so this puts me in a terrible position with my clients and damages the trust I built with them.

I cannot understand any fair business reason why a customer should be prevented from canceling a yearly service before it renews, especially when the customer has already paid for the current year and does not want to continue. If a client does not want the service anymore, they should not be forced into another year because of a policy they never clearly accepted.

I have now wasted hours going back and forth through emails and chat, only to be told that I may be able to transfer licenses to other clients. That does not solve the issue. Why would I want to continue bringing clients to a company that is treating a long-term partner this way?

accessiBe presents itself as a company that helps businesses create more accessible websites. That mission should be built on trust, transparency, and fairness. Instead, this situation feels like a policy designed to capture renewals from customers who were not properly informed.

I am requesting that accessiBe provide clear proof that I personally accepted the updated 30-day cancellation policy. If there is no signed agreement, checkbox confirmation, or clear acknowledgment from me, I am asking that these cancellations be honored before renewal and that my clients not be charged for another year.

I have acted in good faith as a partner. I expect accessiBe to do the same.

Do NOT use accessibe!

Our experience with accessiBe has been extremely disappointing, and I would caution any business considering a long-term relationship with this company.

One of the most concerning aspects has been the constant turnover of account managers. During our time as a customer, we were assigned no fewer than ten different account managers: Isaac, Roy, Gal, Jessica, Ty, Rebecca, Colin, Hans, Ophir, and Nick. That level of turnover made it difficult to maintain continuity, receive consistent communication, or build confidence in the company's customer support structure.

The primary issue revolves around a policy change that accessiBe claims was communicated via email around February 13, 2026. According to their leadership team, this policy required customers to cancel at least 30 days prior to renewal, with enforcement beginning March 15, 2026. However, despite the significance of this policy, not a single account manager contacted us directly, requested acknowledgment of receipt, scheduled a call, or otherwise ensured that we understood the change and its financial implications.
If a policy is important enough to deny refunds and lock customers into renewals, it should be important enough to proactively communicate beyond a single email. Businesses deserve reasonable notice and clear confirmation when policies materially affect their ability to manage subscriptions and budgets.
Adding to the frustration, a previous account manager enabled auto-renewal on our account, yet we were unable to access the settings necessary to monitor or disable it ourselves. When we discovered the issue and escalated it, we expected prompt communication and a fair resolution.

Instead, after several days of discussions, we received the following response from Pedro Rivera, CS Team Lead, on May 12, 2026:
"The initial change of policy email went out around February 13, 2026. This would have provided some time to address the changing policy, and pre-cancel any licenses where there may not have been a chance the client would be renewing with you.

Though all of that being said, I can absolutely escalate this further. I will be reaching out internally to our leadership team to consider a further cancellation and refund."

Since receiving that email, there has been no follow-up, no update, and no resolution. Despite being told the matter would be escalated to leadership, communication simply stopped.

Our concern is not merely the policy itself. Companies have the right to change policies. The issue is the lack of transparency, lack of accountability, inability to manage our own renewal settings, and the complete absence of follow-through after promising an escalation.

Based on our experience, accessiBe's customer service and account management processes fell well below expectations, and we cannot recommend the company.

Do not use this company for any ADA services. They do not back up what they say they provide. They change their TOS and never notify you of doing so. There are better ADA saas products out there for the same price and cheaper. We once had almost 30 domains listed with them. We even had to hire an attorney to navigate through the BS they provided so we are better equipped for our clients. We found another provider that has been far more transparent. Won't be surprised if this company goes under.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service.
I don't write bad reviews. In my 16 years in marketing as a Director/C-level Exec, I have never written a bad review. I went out of my way to write a TrustPilot review and create an account because of how appalled I am by my experience. I was charged $389 for a license renewal for a website that doesn't work/doesn't exist. Reached out to customer service within the same day to work through it and was told there was "no way" this could be reversed.
For the record, I've been an Accessibe "partner" for over 4 years for other website referrals.
As a small business, $400 is a lot of money, and find the lack of empathy or willingness to support this situation enough to warn other vendors and to take my business elsewhere.

I was a partner

I was a partner. They had a continuous commissions platform, which I was okay with. If I refer my client to you and my clients pay you continuously, the one who referred them should get the same. After referring my client, they changed their commission structure to a 1 time. To me, this feels unethical. Then, their support tried referencing their terms of service as if that were always their terms.

The Accessibe service is amazing! Within five minutes of learning about the Accessibe accessibility solution, we had it implemented. It is that simple, and it provides a comprehensive range of assistive aids for different types of disabilities, whether they are aural, visual, or cognitive; or a combination of them.

Highly impressive!

AccessiBe's accessibility widgets are an immense contribution to making webpage platforms more inclusive and accessible for people with different abilities. Alongside each accessibility filter, having the explanation for what that feature does helps new users learn how to use the tool. Moreover, the additional customization features for colours, fonts, animations etc. are immensely useful for those who don't fall under a specific disability category, so that they can adjust the webpage platforms according to how they like. Some additional configurations may be required for proper functioning of certain features like the screen reader.

Amazing Experience with accessiBe and…

Amazing Experience with accessiBe and Sheldon!

We recently started using accessiBe, and I have to say, the experience has been fantastic. From day one, Sheldon, our onboarding specialist, made everything so easy and straightforward.

Sheldon really knows his stuff. He walked us through the platform step by step, answering all our questions and making sure we felt confident using it. What stood out the most was how patient and approachable he was, always taking the time to explain things clearly and in a way that just made sense.

You can tell Sheldon is passionate about accessibility. He gave us a fresh perspective on how important it is to create an inclusive online experience, and his insights made the whole process even more meaningful for us.

We’re so happy with how everything turned out, and we’re incredibly grateful for Sheldon’s support. If you’re thinking about accessiBe, you’re not just getting a great product—you’re getting a team that truly cares, and Sheldon is proof of that.

Thanks again, Sheldon, for going above and beyond and for making this such a great experience!
