Fails to ship products and refuses to provide refunds
I ordered a game controller from Abxylute on 21 April 2026. Abxylute stated a shipping date of early May.
Early May passed with no shipping confirmation and no further update from the company, so I asked for an update. They then said the product would ship in mid May.
Mid May also went by with no shipping confirmation or update from Abxylute, so I asked them again when they planned to ship the product I paid for. They then told me the shipping date had now slipped to the end of May.
I was now convinced this product would never ship, so I asked Abxylute to cancel the order and issue a refund. They insisted they would have to charge me a 5% payment processing fee, despite never having shipped the product in the first place. This is the first time in over 25 years of purchasing items online that a business has tried to charge me for a refund. A restocking fee I can understand and accept, but charging a payment processing fee for a product they never shipped - especially when the failure to ship is entirely their fault - is scammy behaviour.
I gave Abxylute a deadline to issue a full refund, but that deadline has now passed. I now have to contact my bank to open a dispute on this transaction and try to get a chargeback for it.
Do not buy anything from Abxylute. They don't uphold their promised shipping times, and they don't issue full refunds. My interaction with Abxylute is the absolute worst customer service experience I have had in years. I will never do business with Abxylute again, and I emphatically encourage that no one else do business with them either.
