Check your change CAREFULLY.

We went out for tea the other night. My wife paid. As the thing serving was getting the change , it paused...looked and counted again...then gave my wife the change. Well , part of it. She was short a few dollars . When the thing was challanged it tried to say it didnt have enough coins. The thing was told to get the change. When confronted after we had eaten it tried to say it didnt mean to try to short change us and tried to pretend it was an honest mistake. It looked a bit flustered when it was pointed out that it noticeably paused and recounted the change, meaning that it was either too stupid to count or thought it didnt matter.
