I was told I don't deserve a bike

I went to the Kawana 99Bikes store to enquire about an electrical bike. I was asking the sales staff about a certain government grant and what the conditions were, when one of them, an older man with glasses that appeared to be some sort of manager, cut in and said that if I am just buying a bike to get the grant, "I probably don't deserve a bike". How can you address a customer like that? Rest assure I am not buying any bike in this store again. Most of their bikes are low-end crap anyway, so would not recommend them for anything you'd want to last.

Refused Service and Warranty

I purchased a new bike from Burleigh store and moved to the Sunshine Coast 2 months after. Burleigh assured me that I could redeem my new bike purchase free service at any store but Kawana refused and informed me that I had to go back to Burleigh to redeem it. It's 9 months later and it started having problems so I booked it into the Kawana store for a warranty check. They informed me that the bike was unsafe to ride because it hadn't been serviced and it would cost me over $200 in repairs before they could look at the bike. Mind you that my wife is 56 years old and rides casually like you would expect a 56 year old woman would. I've just been to collect the bike and they acted like they did me a favor because they didn't replace the cassette like they first quoted. So the cost ended up being $193 in total. This price is made up of a $14 chain, $10 brake pads and $169 for labour. I have put in a case with Fair Trading as I feel like I've just been robbed. I will never purchase anything from this store again in my life

Basil pannier

Basil pannier. I ordered this over coffee and had it fitted in my bike in 1 hour. Helpful staff, fast ordering process.

Ravman bike light

Great product knowledge
great price and easy online purchase
The ravman600 is tiny but packs a punch
City commuting you will be seen and the beam is concentrated enough to light your path
Love the in built usb charging and battery life is good
The separate light switch that can mounted elsewhere from light is very handy too

Couldn’t get product information…

Couldn’t get product information correct after three attempts at providing quotes, then after I steered them enough to finally get it correct, had to follow them up for weeks to get the items in store! Then they didn’t fit the accessory correctly, causing me great difficulty on a rail trail ride, then when I had booked a bike service, for the second time, because they had no standard parts in stock, (including rear cassette and chain replacement) I was called at the end of the day to be advised (no apologies) that they had failed to order the parts! Found the staff not helpful and will never return to Kawana 99 Bikes store, sent them feedback and received no response! Very arrogant mob!

Customer service was awful

Customer service was awful, they were dismissive and abrupt. Didn’t want to talk to me and were very rude. Would NEVER go back again

Well Done

Tonight I attended a maintenance course for bikes at Kawana 99 Bike store.
Drew & Chris were very helpful & as my front light on my bike needed charging they gave me a front light for a safe ride home.
This course is free so these guys give up their time after hours to pass on their knowledge to help new bike owners like me how to care for their bikes.

The Pedal Titan ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My experience at 99 bikes Kawana was nothing but the best,the staff were very helpful and friendly, the manager Andrew was extremely helpful and sold me the pedal titan E bike with dual suspension this bike is awesome very comfortable to ride off and on road very smooth bike, the battery life is amazing and the bike is powerful with taking off, getting up step hill climbs is a dream.
it just perfect, I road 27 km after purchasing didn't even break a sweat 👍 I highly recommend this bike for mountain bike lovers, best bike in every way possible. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Scott Spark 950 Service

I had my Scott Spark 950 serviced by Kobe and it was given back to me perfect. I cannot remember it being so crisp, other than when it was new. He was great, knowledgeable and a joy to deal with.

Whilst away in holidays I saw a bike…

Whilst away on holidays in South Australia I saw a bike that would be perfect for me, so I searched online and found it on 99bikes. I purchased it and went to my local store on return to collect it built and ready to go!
The team understood my quick turnaround and went above and beyond to get my order ready for me.
The bike builders were amazing !

Brilliant Bolt Purchase Experience

Did a price match via the 99 Bikes website and that was sorted very quickly (within 2 or 3 hours). Unit was ready within an hour of ordering. Kawana staff were (as always) friendly and helpful when I collected the unit. The Wahoo Element Bolt V2 itself has exceeded my expectations! It's easy to setup, simple to operate and the attachment places the unit so I can see it while still keeping my eyes on the road ahead!
