We’ve been loyal 8x8 customers for many years, and while things started off great, their service and support have significantly declined over time. In the beginning, you could easily get someone on the phone who was knowledgeable and eager to help. Sadly, that’s no longer the case.
The biggest frustration came when we decided to cancel and move on. Instead of a smooth transition, they hit us with a $1,600 bill, claiming it was for the remaining 10 months of a contract we don’t recall ever agreeing to. It feels like they buried this supposed "contract" in the fine print somewhere. As far as we’re concerned, we’ve more than fulfilled any obligations during our years as customers.
This has been an incredibly frustrating experience, and we wouldn’t recommend 8x8 to anyone. Their current practices feel less about customer service and more about trapping businesses with surprise fees when they try to leave.

Matthew Black is an asset to 8x8, he is such a wonderful sales executive and does not force you to take services that you will not require. I have had a great experience with 8x8.
The technical support department reach out to you within minutes of raising a ticket and are there to make sure that everything is working ok for you round the clock.

They overall provide a solid service. When things go wrong, it is just a slow burn to resolve and the last go around took days to resolve and get us back online.

Terrible time table with cancelling our free 30 day trial. 8x8 continued to bill us for months after we emailed them and contacted them via phone to cancel the account. In fact they billed us for 4 months after the fact. Then it took them another 30 days to actually cancel the account after weeks of trying to have it cancelled due to their policies. Why can't you just immediately cancel the account like other companies?
