We recently rented a car from 7M Madeira Island and had a fantastic experience. The rental office location was conveniently located near our hotel estrada monumental which made pick-up and drop-off incredibly easy.
Joana was exceptional friendly and professional, knowledgeable, and patient. She thoroughly explained all the options and managed everything with only 24 hours' notice.
The pick-up and return process was swift and efficient.
Good experience with 7M on Estrada Monumental Madeira.
Due to lack of maintenance the vehicle…
Due to lack of maintenance the vehicle showed brake and steering issues. I attempted to return the car for a replacement after 3 days. At that time they decided to claim that I damaged the vehicle, I did no such thing. 1200 euros later, thanks to me, the car got it's maintenance (I assume). I will rent again, but from an honest shop this time...
The car was new and in good condition…
The car was new and in good condition and the service was straight to the point. The delivery was slow because I had made the reservation from an external site and the place for the return it´s too tricky
The directions given for the airport…
The directions given for the airport return were not helpful. It was only by luck that we found a seemingly completely unmarked lot at 4 am. Please put an address on the return paperwork, directions that would get you to the lot, and some signage.
One staff member did save the day when I left a cell phone in the shuttle van. Many thanks to him.
Everything was great!!
Everything was great!!! We booked in advance online with full insurance, so we didn't have to pay a deposit. We delivered the car to the hotel. It's punctual and no worries!!!
I will not book again
The staff was very rude and not helpful at all. We waited more than 50 minutes for the shuttle van to pick us up at the arrivals terminal. We had to call them 4 times for them to come.
During this time, other small rental companies picked up customers 3 or 4 times.
The same issue when we returned the car, we had to wait 40 minutes until they sent us back to the airport. The staff was not busy at all as they were no other customers at the time, so I guess they just didn't feel like working.
Thank god we paid for the full insurance. Based on the overall experience, I'm sure we would have experienced issues to get the deposit back.
I won't hire a car again with this company.

We rented a car in Madeira, and the agency gave us an old car not powerful at all, that could not reach more than 50 km/h on the motorway
During our first day we understood in the slopes of Funchal that the car was definitely not powerful enough and that it could be dangerous in such slopes
We called the agency who told us it was due to negligence from us, and we should have called earlier - no excuse and no regard for the fact that it was dangerous to rent a not powerful car like that
Therefore they made us pay for another clutch, threatening us to keep our deposit of 2000€ if we don’t agree to pay
Very bad experience
Very bad experience, company renting us a car not powerful enough for Madeira and then black mailing us to pay for a semi-broken clutch. Offering assistance only if we pay, aggressive support contact. Really feel that we have been robbed by this agency - to be avoided at any cost

How can you rent cars with completely worn out tires?
Ok, we got another car but the whole process took over 2 hours. Very rude staff.
We bought premium insurance, but when we returned the car it was inspected as if it didn't have that insurance and the staff was also very rude.

Battery broke 5 hours after renting - and we had to pay
Unfortunately, we got a car whose battery broke just 5 hours after we rented it. We were billed directly for the cost of several hundred euros.
