customer support is pretty decent and get things fixed, the actual internet service is not, consistent speed drops and latency spikes makes everything except browsing the web impossible without constant communication with support

Support given was great back up and running in 10 minutes one happy son

I had a dead spot in the house so contacted technical support. They were very helpful but the problem remained so we agreed that another extender was needed. Two days later two engineers (Chris and Martin?) turned up early in the morning and within an hour had replaced all of my routers for newer versions and cured the dead spot issue. Thank you for such good service.

Highly regret going with Opus the internet speed is very inconsistent and causes huge inconvenience. There’s only 2 people who are connected to the wifi in my household and we still have a lot of issues connecting to it. I’ve tried contacting them before about this issue they said they would ‘keep an eye on my account’ and try sort the issue out but I’ve had no luck being with opus. I’m highly considering just cancelling with them and going with a more reliable and faster broadband as it’s just not worth the headache. My property is literally opposite the 5G tower they’ve built across the street and I still have really bad internet. You may okay internet speeds on your phone sometimes but if you want to download games or play online you will suffer with high ping and very slow internet speeds.
Overall you pay for what you get as the saying goes you buy cheap you buy twice. It’s my own fault for going with Opus I thought I would give them a try as I spoke with a representative who came knocking on our door but I massively regret it as it’s not reliable at all and wouldn’t recommend them.

Unprofessional and a huge mistake of a company. We left due to constant outages and poor speeds and when we asked for the performance logs they seem to forget how to reply. Communications regarding the £350+ termination fee seems to be sent without issues though.
After my husband put a review he was asked for more information which he still hasn't has a response to yet. We have started the process of reporting to the ombudsman and intend to go to Ofcom and looking for other ways to escalate the service we received.

the webpage for payments has never worked in two years. now there's no chatbox to ask for an email payment link. you phone the number, there's no answer. then there's the internet falling off every month.

I have been a customer a few years. Initially very good, followed by very poor. After several ping pong conversations yesterday it all got fixed. A very knowledgeable young lad Micheal deserves top marks. Despite high winds, heavy rain, he installed the fibre service. I am very impressed after only one day.

I'd been with 6Gi for a few years when I finally got fed up of the speeds which keep dipping and calls to customer service to fix. Issues were more common than I would have liked, but to give the company their dues, they were always quick to resolve (eg an engineer was sent out the same day as they were in the area - this would never happen with the big companies).
I put up with the glitches for a while, putting it down as teething problems given they are a fairly new company, the speeds were good (when working) and the price was very reasonable. 3 years down the line, I finally gave up and switched provider, needing better reliability for when I need to work from home.
This is where I really became stuck. 6Gi do not provide bills, only generic invoices that gives the final amount payable. I required a final bill with a breakdown of charges (early termination fees, admin charges, services used up to switch date). However they kept sending the same invoice which just contained the one amount with no further information.
Incredibly frustrating as the new provider can not cover the 90 pound termination charge without relevant paperwork from 6Gi, which they just don't seem to be able to provide.
Thinking of going to the ombudsman with this as I'm hitting a brick wall with 6Gi.
In summary, 6Gi are OK if you're looking for cheap, fast broadband and you live in an area that doesn't have fibre. But you ultimately get what you pay for.

Theyre not a bad company, the customer services people are helpful and insightful, even when given intense questioning.
We had a few issues when we first signed up, mainly cos they somehow duplicated our information onto another persons service, locking us out. This was when 6g first started circulating so could have been a learning hiccup.
Speeds were generally high, getting 100mbs regularly. A little dip here and there, the router mainly the issue with dropping out and rebooting itself for no reason. Service stopped for 2hrs max before the router was active again.
And hey, the guy left a free hook in the wall outside where he bound the ladder. Free hook!!
