The best decision I have ever made, Chris listened and took everything in. Once the CV was released onto the jobs boards, I was snapped up within two weeks.

From my first contact with Chris it was obvious that he really understood the the Engineering industry and the many different fields it spans. From the CV appraisal i received it was clear Chris had taken the time to fully review my current CV and gave me confidence in his analysis on where it needing changing. Chris spent a lot of time to get to know me and really helped me focus on my achievements over my extensive Career and articulated these in my CV. He also made sure i was happy with the final cut with a couple of follow calls to reveiw. I would have no hesitation in recommending Chris's services.

I initially approached Chris at 5D consulting as I felt that my previous CV wasn’t getting my name put in front of would be employers. I have used similar services in the past (purple CV) but was not impressed with the finished product; it seemed to me that they simply reworded my existing CV without really understanding my skills, knowledge and experience.

I had an initial chat with Chris where he outlined why he had set up the business and how the CV writing process worked. I was encouraged that this was a tailored approach from an experienced recruitment professional, ensuring that the CV would be written to suit the roles that I would be applying for, as well as the people that would be selecting suitable candidates for these roles.

Chris arranged a consultation where we discussed my previous career history and future career ambitions. Chris demonstrated great patience as I went through the past 15 years (!) and good technical understanding of multiple engineering sectors, which allowed him to ask more probing questions and really get down to the fundamentals of my previous experience. Additionally he worked to identify what my ideal future role would look like - as strange as it sounds, this is something I hadn’t fully considered myself when looking for jobs. Chris came back to me a couple of times with questions or for further clarification as he wrote the CV.

The finished CV arrived in good time and Chris arranged a follow on call to discuss any further changes. I had a few comments and changes which were incorporated quickly. I’m really pleased with the finished document - It is clear, concise and far easier to read for any would-be employer and this has already translated into more enquiries from recruiters and potential employers.
