4x4 Car Rental Uganda is not an honourable business
This terrible company should be avoided at all costs. We have lodged a formal complaint against them with the Ugandan Tourist Board. The list of problems is very long. The driver was 45 minutes late in arriving at out guest house in Entebbe on the first day. The vehicle had blacked-out side windows, so we could not see anything unless the windows were wound down. The vehicle had no fuel in it when he arrived, so the first thing to do was fill it up at our expense. The driver did not know any of the places where we had reserved accommodation. Even though I had enquired about this with the company before we travelled, the driver said we could not have the air conditioning switched on because he was "allergic" to it. At the end of a difficult first day, I wrote to the company to ask for a different vehicle and driver; they did not reply to my e-mail. Ultimately, after four days together, the car broke down because of the reckless way the driver was approaching the speed humps in the road (he destroyed the automatic gear box), and the company abandoned us and obliged us to engage a different driver for ourselves with whom we completed our holiday.
4x4 Car Rental Uganda is in no way a reputable business and we advise you to go nowhere near them. Like us, you'll regret it.
