About 200 Degrees
Some time, many years ago, two bar owners wanted to serve the best possible cup of coffee to their customers. Thus began a search, that started a journey, which became an obsession, and lead to three men being alone in the corner of a garage (with a coffee roaster) until finally, in 2012, they created 200 Degrees Coffee and decided to show it to the world, starting with Nottingham.
Like lots of people, we are passionate about coffee and whilst we're sure there are more important things in life, we just can't think of any.
We spend all day roasting, making, drinking and talking about ‘coffee coffee coffee coffee’ but we also understand that the perfect cup of coffee is not just about taste or even about what’s in the cup, it’s about doing everything the right way.
Our Mission
We aim to be a company with high standards in everything we do and that applies to our coffee, our shops, our service and the way we treat people, including our suppliers.

Great coffee. Always buy the Brazilian love affair for my coffee machine
I am writing this specifically for the owner’s attention, as the front-of-house conduct I experienced today was frankly unacceptable for a professional establishment.
I arrived with my family of five, intending to stay for a full breakfast and coffee. Upon entering, a staff member was at the counter arranging pastries. I greeted her with a "good morning," which was completely ignored. After waiting for 5 minutes without even a nod of acknowledgment, I politely asked if someone could serve us.
Instead of a professional response, I was met with a dismissive and incredibly rude remark telling me I "would have to wait." By this point, we had already been standing there for 10 minutes.
As a business owner, you should be aware that your staff’s attitude directly cost you a significant bill today. We decided to take our business elsewhere rather than spend our money where we aren't welcome. It is a shame, as we were looking forward to visiting, but we won't be returning if this is the standard of service being tolerated.
Great coffee's and superb service @ 200°s Castleford, special mention to Joshua always remembers our order as we walk in & always friendly and courteous
Faces of disdain from the 2 servers today and normally the staff are so helpful. We came here specifically for my daughter a sandwich, she happens to like your sandwiches. It was 4pm & the server was just packing the sandwiches away so I asked if I could buy one. That's when the face spoke louder than the words "im packing them away" with a look of 'don't mess with me'. My friend then asked what the fillings were in the ones not yet packed away. The face twitched again " the toaster's off and they've been out all day" (yuk, by the way, all day?!). The 2 servers then proceeded to put those sandwiches in the 2 good 2 go bags (yuk again). We ordered our drinks and cakes, ready to accept no sandwich today but then both servers kept staring down my daughter with those faces again. Asking for a sandwich in a cafe seems to be unreasonable. Had great service here before but not today sadly
Went into Derby cafe, ordered a black tea and was charged extra, received a latte instead. Displeased, probably won’t be going back.
Just be careful when emailing 200° for help. They called me a different name in the first email. Then the second email they talked to me about a problem I didn’t have. I had a totally different problem. If there’s an issue, be careful not to allow them to email you with any vital information because they accidentally send to other email addresses which is a huge data protection leak. This is the second email where I’m given the wrong name to or the an email not meant for me. Just be a little careful.
Great coffee and great staff. Just completed a Beginners Barista course run by the wonderful Aimee. Absolutely fantastic experience. I learned lots and would highly recommend to those new to the world of making coffee. Reece at Nottingham has been extremely helpful and responsive in sorting out a problem that I had with my subscription.
I recently contacted 200* about a relatively minor matter via their website contact form. Can’t fault how it was dealt with. Very receptive and efficient. Much appreciation to Reece and Stacey-Lee for their help!
Great example of excellent customer service.

Their medium roast 3/5 was pretty dark to the point of getting burnt flavours through. Would not recommend if you are looking for medium roast espresso
I love the coffee here but the amount of people taking up a table sitting there with a laptop is just a joke. I’m sitting in the lower temple street one now and I kid you not there are 17 tables took up by a single person using a laptop. There’s a sofa bench at the back end and there are 3 people taking up the entire row! They said they were sorting this out but it’s an absolute joke of a place. There’s a lad here drinking a glass of water!!!
I don’t usually write long reviews unless something goes wrong, but it’s 2026 and I’m changing that. Time to share the positive stuff too. Starting with 200 Degrees Coffee in Lincoln.
It was my first visit. I get a bit nervous going somewhere new and ordering in an unfamiliar place, but I downloaded the app and snagged a free coffee. Free coffee is a brilliant incentive.
Inside, it was busy in a good way — lively but not overwhelming. Friendly smiles at the counter helped me relax. I ordered a latte, was given a table card, and found a spot to sit.
I put on a podcast and people-watched for a while. The latte arrived with proper latte art — something I’ve tried and failed to master at home — which made me smile. More importantly, the coffee itself was fantastic. I’m used to the big chains because I don’t tend to step outside the familiar, but this was on a different level.
I enjoyed it so much it barely lasted a moment. I seriously considered ordering another, but time was against me.
I loved the whole experience and I’ve now found my go-to spot whenever I’m in Lincoln.
Thank you.

Shocked to see no cash accepted, so can’t help but wonder if the owners are aware this is not inclusive, and is actually quite ageist. Staff lovely, coffee good, but I am all about being inclusive and welcoming, so this place fails on that front. Apparently it’s a company policy that stayed after the pandemic.

UPDATE 6/01/26: I emailed as per their request to give more details. Spoke to a guy called Reece, he offered me a voucher to go back in which I declined, I wasn't about to go back to somewhere I was treated with such distain, so instead I asked them to donate the voucher value to Alder Hey. Silence. Followed up with them last week. Silence again. Think that just shows you all you need to know.

Popped in first thing. Didn't realise the time was 7.50am and apparently they don't open until 8am but the door was unlocked so I was able to get in.
Instead of being explained that we don't open until 8am, a female member of staff (glasses and strawberry blonde hair) shouted at me across the room "WE'RE NOT OPEN YET" to which i responded "the doors open?" No response so I walked out and waited and she came to the door and said, very aggressively, "did you say something?!" To which i replied "yeah just that the doors open" and her response was to shout 'well its not supposed to be' at me, so obviously I didn't wait around and went for coffee elsewhere.
Incredibly rude and hostile, not what you want first thing in the morning, if you want a side of aggression and hostility with you coffee, this is the place to go.

Based on the toasties, sadly lacked filling and tasted mostly like tomato paste with a token gesture waft of cheese,

Delivery on time and I must say the most amazing coffee I’ve ever tasted. Beans roasted and delivered in the same week
