The guys who came to fix our oven came right on time, was really friendly and even showed us what different settings in our oven were for. Highly recommend!

We recently purchased an old victorian house that needed an awful lot of work, but the most pressing task was to have the place whole rewired and a new boiler installed. The boiler was old and wouldn't support our large family, and it also was in our planned baby bedroom and had to be moved into our kitchen.

We searched around and got quotes and availabilities from a couple of companies capable of carrying out the work and starting the day we received our keys. It had taken months to confirm the purchase, and time wasn't on our side. We needed to remain in our existing flat while the electricians and plumbers were carrying out the work. We had a newborn and didn't want to live in the house while doing the work. But 1st Fix was so understanding and so professional that they managed and controlled the entire thing. They rewired the whole house, installed a new boiler, ran new pipes in 3 weeks. They then made right on the walls by plastering and leaving everything in excellent condition, ready to paint. Each night we came to see the progress and saw how tidy the team were and how they took pride in their work. Once the job was complete, I was given a full survey walk and allowed to ask questions so that I understood where everything was. I would highly recommend 1st Fix Maintenance for any work you are looking to do. The team have a complete skill set, from electricians, plumbing, plastering and builders. I plan to have them come back in the future when I start my extension work. I can't thank them enough for how they managed everything for me.

fantastic company, always on time, high quality work, nothing too much trouble even if things changed at short notice. consulted at every stage . installed a bathroom from scratch, repaired a faulty drain. repaired a crack in the wall and rendered and painted ... very pleased with the result .

I am extremely happy and very satisfied with the quality of the refurbishment work done in my home by 1stFix Maintenance Services. The Project Manager Hassan always kept me informed of the progress of the work at every stage and consulted with me prior to any changes being made from the original plans. The team were all very professional and completed every aspect of the work to a very high standard. I cannot thank the 1stFix Maintenance Team enough for the excellent transformation of my home and I have no hesitation in recommending their services.

The work was first carried out some months ago by a local plumber. Extensive work was carried out but the problem returned. First Fix is a local company whose details I obtained from the CR5 magazine. From my first email contact to the completion of the work, it was a no hassle experience. Craig, my plumber, was punctual, polite and knowledgeable. He carried out the repair most efficiently and I have no hesitation in using their services again and giving my recommendation.

I used company to undertake some external and internal decoration. Staff were timely, competent and helpful.

We could not be more impressed with 1st Fix and would not hesitate to recommend them. They have carried out various projects for us, and we have been extremely impressed with their professionalism and workmanship. Without exception, everyone from the office staff to the skilled tradesmen has been friendly, polite, helpful and extremely efficient. The tradesmen are very hardworking and focused on the job in hand. Essentially, they say what they are going to do, explain why, the cost and what will be involved, undertake that work, and then review it with the customer, so there are no nasty surprises. We are looking forward to future projects with 1st Fix later this year.

We were very pleased with the good standard of work carried out by Paul and James who very polite and considerate at all times. We would recommend this company to anyone needing carpentry, roofing, painting and re-pointing of brickwork.

Had a rewiring job carried out in my home recently. On the initial viewing I was advised that the machine which would be used to chase into the walls would collect the dust and the plastering would be smooth (dust collection did not happen, some plastering was smooth in places). My bedroom which I had recently had decorated was used to store their tools as it was empty of furniture and was used as the main room for feeding the cables. Some of the floorboards were lifted and lent against the newly painted walls, permanent marker was used to mark areas where sockets were to be located. Suitcases and bags with clothing were in the room and work commenced without these items being covered with any dust sheets. My new bedroom looked like a building site. I purchased plastic dust sheets and masking tape to try and reduce the dust that was being thrown up in all of the rooms. OK, my home may not be full of high spec fittings and furniture however it is clean. I had been left with having to wipe down and paint over plastering (as I was not going to pay out for painting of the whole house) and hand prints left in most areas. It is what it is! I suppose this type of work is suited to empty buildings rather than a fully furnished home. I was also expecting a professional clean once the project was completed as was indicated in the quote, not sure if a quick vacuum and mop is what is classed as professional!

I have just had two further pieces of work completed at the house and have a few more lined up that I shall give to this company,
Originally my Wife found them on trusted trader and asked them to come in and quote for some electrical work and that led to two more pieces of work, all performed to our complete satisfaction. Their attitude is that when the work is complete they give you time to ensure all is working OK and then they bill you so although there have been snags, immediately they were advised, they fixed it all perfectly.
The last pieces of work were to replace the kitchen lights and also install a new Master Electricity Panel for the house and then test the whole house. Arrived on time, grafted all the time and finished having cleaned up after themselves.
Now, having finished this review I need to contact them for two new estimates.

I have had the great fortunate of contracting 1st Fix to carry out works to my various properties and they have always conducted themselves professionally and completed all works before or within the given timeframe. I would be very happy to recommend 1st Fix for any maintenance job requirement.

I was extremely pleased with the service from survey to completion. Everyone was punctual, reliable, well mannered and gave good advice when needed to resolve any problems. Their main aim was my satisfaction and I was extremely pleased with the outcome. I would recommend 1st Fix to anyone and look forward to using them again as I realise they offer a range of services.

Really impressed with the various tradesmen - decorators, carpenter, plasterer, plumber, electrician.

We originally intended for four rooms to be decorated. These required plastering and skimming walls and ceilings. A good bit of carpentry in one room, plasterboarding etc. Then fully painting the rooms.

The team did such a good job we then had another room done!

They also did a few days "graft" in the garden, clearing weeds, laying paving stones, gravel and slate chipping - and helping resite a small greenhouse.

All the guys were very good at engaging with us as customers - checking that we were happy with work and keeping us up to date with progress etc.

Finally a word about management: They were courteous and helpful. Responded to our requests etc. Different trades always turned up at the appropriate time to keep the project moving forward.

We only came across1st Fix online (Checkatrade) but they are a local company - with good reviews, so we went ahead! Very pleased we did. Will certainly use them again in the future.

We have been using 1st Fix for 3 years now for all of our general maintenance and renovation works for our 4 flats in SE London. This includes all electric, plumbing, heating, carpentry and building works. Their work is consistently of an excellent quality.

The office team's coordination and project management is particularly important for us as we live abroad meaning that everything is done over the phone and email. 1st Fix contact our tenants directly to organise access making our lives much much easier. 1st fix have done 2 full renovations for us and come in on budget and timeline both times. They have a lot of experience so always happy to offer advice along the way.
