Booked and never showed up
I had a text confirming the taxi was arriving. Never showed up. I took an uber. Don't book with this company if you want to get to work on time. No way to get in touch with anyone. Wish I had never put my credit card details into their system.
BE CAREFUL
Our experience with the driver number 7040 it’s been awful. The taxi ride was meant to be 19,40$ but he said it was 25$ because of the airport fee. However, he didn’t gave us any receipt or something to prove it and he was very rude.
Worst Taxi Company around!!
Pre-ordered and paid for a taxi to pick my kids up and drop them at school. Booked it for 8:15 am. Never received a call to say the cab was there. My kids waited out the front from 8:10 am. The Taxi never arrived, however, marked the trip in the app as complete.
I called customer service the 1st time and was put on hold almost immediately for 10 minutes before the phone call ended. I called them back, different person, who only was interested in telling me the money was only pending and should be returned by Wednesday. When I asked the question, even though the ride was marked as complete the money will still be refunded? In response I received only attitude and was snapped at that it doesn't matter what the app says, I said it would be returned in 3 days. If not call us back. No apology, no solution - only attitude and a snappy tone, absolutely no consideration for how the morning has left me and my kids feeling - couldn't care less.
I then received a phone call at 9:00 am (45 minutes after my booking time) from another driver saying they had been sent. I told her too little too late that I had found someone else to take my kids to school.
Do yourself a favour, don't use these scam artists on wheels, book yourself an Uber!
Dismal experience with the App in the Gold Coast
Pros: cabs are clean and Cab drivers perfectly pleasant.
Cons:
- booking via the app is dismal, we had cabs cancel and a payment taken in full. Two weeks later after multiple emails and phone calls to get a refund, I get an email confirming refund for a part of the amount (as for some reason it was taken as two seperate payments).
- customer care is only open for reduced hours and you have to wait for almost an hour to speak to someone
- no guarantee of getting a cab within a reasonable amount of time, even if one gets booked can cancel on you before pick up
- prepayment system failed and had to pay cab driver again (despite charge showing as pending with my bank).

I booked a taxi in Dandenong I tried to tap my card before the trip 2/3 times it wasn’t working properly it ended up working he told me to get out of the car which I did than the payment went through I showed him that it was fine and it was paid for he ended up laughting at me saying “Too Bad”and started driving off I do not appreciate the way I was treated as I am trying to get to work and work at a hospital I am very angry with the service and behaviour I have received I will be making a offical complaint if nothing is done about this and the money isn’t refunded today into my account it was taken fast enough as you guys have stolen from me and I have not received any service from your company if nothing is done I will contact the cops I am expecting a call to talk from you guys today I want to talk to someone asap about this as I am not happy I will never and never recommend 13 cabs to anymore kind regards

Taxi never turned up! We have a flight to catch. We will never book a cab again!
We have also paid for the service- requested a Silver Service car a few days ago.
Scam by the driver.
We were picked up by muhammad. As soon as we sat down he asked me to cancel so i can pay him directly. I said i was not comfortable as 13 cabs has already deducted the money from my account. He insisted that i should cancel but i was not comfortable and said no. We started our journey and 10 mins in our journey, he called customer service and then asked him to cancel our trip. The customer service repeated and when i asked why the driver said because this car size is bigger than what you bokked and some rsndom excuses althat we have luggages etc. At this point i was so furious as 2 am the last thi g i wanted was a bad experience. I mentioend that i specifically booked a station and me tioned the number of luggages as a note to the driver. He picked us up with the knowledge of our belongigngs. Long story short the customer service and the driver realised the dont have a case and said no need to cancel the ride. What a terrible experience. I am blown away by how the driver was treating us and thought we are stupid or what?! Just for the sake of some extra money in his pocket he left a really bad taste in our mouth. We never had this experience with uber before.
13 cabs you really have to monitor such behavuoirs of your drivers and their mates in the customer service backing them up. Terrible terrible experience.
Absolute garbage service.
No option for no stars
No option for no stars. Driver moaned about the short journey and how he had to wait for fares at the airport. Then charged nearly double saying we should have walked in the dark with luggage. Use this germ at your peril. The hotel had lots of worse stories about this firm.
Avoid like the plague!!
Avoid like the plague!!! Got a cab from Glenelg to Adelaide airport. The driver was very ignorant, spent more time on his phone, swerving around on the road. Then when we arrived, charged me even though i had already paid through the 13cabs site. Got home and sure enough i'd been double charged. Tried to contact them, got a case number through their website, and over 2 weeks later and i've still heard nothing from them. If this happens to you, go into the bank and charge back. I really hope Uber sends them bankrupt, it's what they deserve.

Melbourne: No option for zero stars, so picking 1 star. I wish the automated system had simply said that drivers were not available. Instead, the message was that our can was on its way. Must have left from Darwin I think.. certainly after a hour and a half and a meltdown from my son it hadn't come. We had to hitchhike.

The taxi did not show up no contact and no notification just no show I made the mistake of booking again and this time I talked to the driver who told me he had showed but this time he just cancelled and I found out when I went to track him we are now so late for our show that we have to drive in never booking them again!!

I pre booked a taxi for 6am to get to the airport.
No taxi showed up, they didnt even bother to text me to cancel the booking or tell me no taxi would be availible.
I called 13cabs to check on my bookings but there is no option to talk to anyone.
Ordered an uber who turned up promply. Will nexver use taxis again.

Watch out for 13 Cabs TAXI 2197 and / or DRIVER ID: 6574
Ensure you get a receipt and check it BEFORE you exit the cab.
Better still, use a different company.
The taxi driver added an extra $2.00 to the fare as a tip for himself.
This will seem trivial to most people but there is a PRINCIPLE to the issue; He did not ask me, and nor did I give permission for the tip. Therefore IT IS THEFT.
If this taxi driver does this to let's say 20 customers a day, without their approval, over a 5 day period he's stolen (skimmed) $200.00. Increase customer numbers / days worked and he's compounding that theft. You do the maths.
Worse still, If he does this to someone he sees as an easier target say; elderly, disabled, foreign tourist, vulnerable person, or a child, he could be stealing more than $2.00 at a time from them.
I checked my receipt after I exited the taxi. This taxi driving thief inadvertently gave me a previous passenger's receipt as well, who had also been charged a $2.00 tipping fee. Coincidence??
Watch out for DRIVER ID: 6574
The driver that stole from me is described as; Indian, male, slim, aged in his early 30's with collar length, black, wavy hair. He does not wear a turban. He drives constantly slumped low in the seat while leaning on the centre console and he continually strokes his goatee. He drives with only one hand on the wheel. He listens to teeny-bop Poonjabi pop music and thinks he looks cool by wearing imitation gold-framed aviator sunglasses. Also, he tailgates, especially through traffic intersections.
Watch out for TAXI 2197 and / or DRIVER ID: 6574.
If this particular taxi driver is doing this, how many other drivers are doing the same? How much are they stealing (skimming) off of their paying passengers?
Get and check your taxi receipts people and prevent both yourselves and the less fortunate from being taken advantage of.
I phoned 13 Cabs to make a complaint. They laughed but then hung up on me when I swore. Your driver just stole from me and you're laughing!! What do you expect??
It's the principle of the issue. NOT the monetary figure.
I guess 13 Cabs no longer want my business so I'll now give my business, which is regular by the way, to one of their competitors.
Adelaide Independent Taxis and Suburban Taxis each have more than double the review scores than 13 Cabs has. There must be a reason for that?
For anyone else who has an issue and wants to make a complaint, you need to contact the Taxi Customer Feedback Line on 1300 311 108 and / or the Taxi Council of South Australia on 8301 8400. Or the Police on 131 444.
Note that in South Australia the Transport Ombudsman does not deal with these issues.
Booked a cab but no show
I booked a cab. The progress of the booking stayed at we are searching for a cab for 45 minutes . I have now cancelled the cab and have an hour walk to work at 10:30 at night. There is no contact to advise you if a cab is coming and no way to call to check on the progress of the booking. Won’t consider using 13cabs again.

I would give this company zero stars if I could. I booked a taxi about 3 days prior as I had to catch a bus to the airport. They didn't turn up. I called the company & they said they had no cabs & could not confirm what time my cab would turn up. I begged & pleaded that I had a flight to catch & it was too late to arrange something else but they did not care. I advised that I prebooked & wrote in notes what time I had to be at bus depot so why didn't they let me know earlier that no-one was coming so I could arrange something else. Do not rely on this taxi service. I won't be using them again.

Got hassled for cash and probably extra $5 added to fare cos went around Oakleigh looking for an ATM. Ended up paying with card anyway. Regardless not happy obviously.
dumb driver
employ drivers that can follow basic instructions re pickup, gate entry, etc
after arriving 15 minutes late for an airport hire the driver could not access the security gate despite having been supplied with clear instructions at time of booking. We also observed him via video attempting to manually open gate (not possible) and despite speaking with him twice he still could not follow instructions. Eventually he left which resulted in me having to drive to the airport & as I have a heart condition I should not be driving at all, especially under stress. After driving to the airport I returned home to find the driver parked at the village gate (1 hour 25 minutes after booking) and when I questioned him he was trying to access the gate code by using his mobile phone keypad instead of the security control keypad at the entrance. I am still awaiting a response to a complaint lodged - ticket number 6300818 and a refund of the prepaid fare.
It would also help if the driver's number could be given as when I tried to call 13cabs I had to go through the standard telephone system and can not connect to a human. Abysmal service.
Unfriendly app for new users
This app 13 Cabs wants all your info including credit card details even before making a booking without giving us the option to ask the driver not to use a tollway at 4.45 am in the morning. The app chose M1 without asking me and tried to charge me an amount when trying to make a booking.
Immediately stopped the app and used another company's app, of course.
