Worst online purchase ever and I make tons of them. First of all. In my opinion 123Ponds is NOT a stand alone business. It is a brokerage type of business ( like Ali Express and Temu) that actually stocks NONE of products seen on line. When an order is placed 123Ponds goes to an outside source that actually carries the product ordered by a customer. I don’t know how many of these sources 123Ponds brokers for but I imagine the number is considerable. In my case I purchased a near $700 pond pump, We have a 10,000 gallon koi pond with a waterfall that requires a lot of water flow. Our pomp failed and we needed to replace it ASAP. I searched the internet and found a CalPump with a flow of 8000 gal per hour on the 123Ponds website. I ordered one on August 17th. On the 18th I decided to try to fix the broken pump we were replacing. I found that water had gotten inside the pump shell and shorted out the unit.I resolved that issue, waterproofed the shell and fixed the problem. Early in the morning on Aug 19 I sent an email cancelling the orderi had placed for a replacement pump. No response. Later that day I received a notification that the order had shipped and was given a UPS tracking#, When I I checked the tracking #, it stated that a shipping label had been created but UPS had NOT received the package. This is a typical scam when a vendor wants a customer to think that it was too late to cancel an order. In fact, the order was not picked up by UPS until August 20th.i contacted
123Ponds again and received an email telling me that they had received the cancellation request AFTER the order had been packaged and shipped… a total lie.
I responded telling them that I would refuse delivery and open a disputed transaction case with my credit card provider. They responded to THAT telling me that I would be responsible for the shipping charges (both ways) and also a 25% restocking fee.
Bottom line, I decided to keep the pump as backup.
And, oh yeah, the pump had been shipped by a company named “Franklin Electric” located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 123Ponds is located in Sarasota, Florida.
My suggestion is for anyone seeking any items pond related, stay as far away as possible from this supplier. It is nothing but a broker carrying NO inventory of its own…in my opinion.

Aweful customer service…very rude. Refused a return of product that did not work and was damaged. Said their return policy clearly stated they would not accept return. I didn’t figure that would be the case for a defective product.
I would never purchase anything from this company first off Samantha is nasty !!!! I received a pump that did not work I called the very next day after receiving and they want pictures and you have to go thru email to get a refund . You can’t get anyone to speak to beside nasty Samantha. They sent a different pump then what I ordered online and it doesn’t even work . This company is money grab they sell broken stuff and make it a hassle to get your money back . DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM !!!!!!!!!
This place has got to be a joke... I called and asked for advice... I bought the original size pump I was told to purchase... I called from my home! I called back in the moat kind manner to exchange and placed no blame. Then I found I was getting back $107.00 on my $193.00 purchase. Only after leaving a 1 star rating was I told, oh we were going to waive the fee... gtfo. Lol... absurd! I'd have to guess that 40% of this companies profits are just from nailing customers on returns and extra shipping. In fact, I'd assume they prefer returns! 732-995-0313 if you want to reach out to me 123ponds.
123ponds has the worst customer service in existence! I'm not sure how this company is still in business, because they take weeks to get the required info, with the excuse of I'm checking with the supplier or the point of contact at the supplier is not in the office. I've called at least five times in 30 days and I get the same old song and dance. Once I left a voice message for Nadia, the "office manager" and I use that titles loosely, and she didn't respond back. Today to file a complaint and the operator had nerves to try and get smart with me. I then spoke to Nadia, and it was I just heard back from the supplier and the part is no longer available. I told her, okay I get that, but you can have at least followed up to let me know you were still waiting. I said I would never do business with you all again, and she had the nerves to say " well you never did business with us yet." I replied that right, it's because of your nasty @#! attitude and poor customer service.

Bought a bookcase through Amazon. I had a problem with the drawer not closing correctly and reached out to 123 for assistance. Their customer service rep, Amri, went above and beyond to help. I am grateful in that a replacement was shipped in a prompt manner. Nothing bad to say about 123 from this satisfied customer.
Absolutely horrible. I bought a part that was sent not as pictured and obviously therefore turned out to be not the correct part. sent it back exactly as their directions, explicitly explained to do ~in their original packaging marked fragile with RGA all over it and now they’re telling us that we didn’t follow the directions, didn’t send it back in their packaging, and now it’s broke. they emailed to say they are not refunding my money. Besides being absolutely impossible as I have pictures of the before packaging and after packaging, I would caution you that they are not kind to do business with and fraudulent.
Our pond pump stopped working and we couldn’t find anyone locally who carried the part we thought we needed to fix it. After searching several online companies, we were thrilled to learn 123ponds carried the part. Ordering was easy, the price very reasonable, and delivery was prompt. The part was exactly what we needed and we saved over $400. by being able to repair our pump rather than replace it. We would highly recommend 123ponds.
So, we are up to 3 stars. They did finally replace the dry rotted filter they sold me. That said, I waited a couple of months. The entire time the unsaid suggestion was that I either did something wrong or was cheating them since it was impossible either they or their vendor made an error. I found that infuriating. I get that some take advantage of vendors, which is a shame & hurts us all. Original review is below:
Be wary of this vendor. Purchased a filter. Did not need it right away & did not install it immediately. When I did it was completely dry rotted & fell apart very quickly. Most likely this item was on their shelf for several years. I asked for a replacement. Their answer was to request pictures, etc., & they would request a replacement from the vendor (really??). Not surprisingly, they have not even had the courtesy to reply after a month. So, they sold me junk & blamed the manufacturer instead of standing by their products.
We purchased 5 of these pumps. Tsurumi - LSC1.4S - Contractor Series Submersible Pump - 2/3hp - 3/4`` Discharge - 115V - 20ft Cord.
I was notified by the company that 2 were on backorder but they could fulfill the 3 right away and send the others two weeks later.
I appreciate that they reached out to me twice by email to get this resolved because the first time it went to spam. These pumps are critical to our restoration business and there pricing was better than the competition and everyone else was backordered for months and they at least had 3 right away.
Would definately purchase from them again. Great company and great customer service.
123ponds has the best order/turnaround time - everything I've ever ordered over the past ten years (a couple of pumps, diffusers, pieces parts for repair) has arrived within days. . . highly recommended!
Terribile Customer service, nobody answers the phones or calls you back when you write them. If you try and cancel an order they charge a restocking fee even if the order was not pulled yet. Shop on other sites, better prices and lower shipping and better customer service.

I honestly am dumbfounded by some of the negative reviews I’ve read on this site. This is not my experience whatsoever. In early March I decided to upgrade my family’s koi pond. We get so much enjoyment from it and we want to be good stewards for and enjoy our pets. At the time I was not attached to any single online vendor and just happened upon 123ponds.com. My first order included an Ultima II filter, pvc fittings, pvc flexible tubing. Second included an EasyPro pump, emergency pump shutoff, flow meter and a few other assorted items. Email updates after my orders were prompt and shipping was within a couple of days. Great so far.
The one and only problem I had was with the filter. I did not contact them about it as I am the kind of guy that likes to figure things out; work the puzzle, take a break and come back to it. At first I thought I mis-sized the pump, but I was very careful to choose a pump based on the filter requirements. I was finally able to confirm the issue was an error in manufacturing. At that moment I contacted 123ponds and provided pictures, supporting YouTube video and diagram. They reached out to the manufacturer and handled everything.
Working with this company has really been a breath of fresh air and they will continue to have my business.
Garbage Products! I purchased 1-1/2"x3/4" and 1-1/4"x3/4" reducer bushings at the time I actually though they were black pipe iron. When I received them they were plastic I went ahead and used them figuring they should work in my heating system, but no from the day I installed they all of them leaked. I had to put up with the constant dripping in the basement because I could not shut down the heating system to replace them. It has been 5 months and I am now replacing all of them. Substandard products a waste of money. I wish I had looked at these reviews before hand.
Update: Attempts were made to call, BUT no one answered. The low quality & substandard products is a direct reflection of what the company provides. What I did not identify previously is I have used PLASTICS in heating such as PEX which is Polyethylene. The problem was not so much that it was plastic, more so that the threads were poorly cut. This company (123pond) is argumentative and will refuse to acknowledge this and the substandard products they supply. As to their comment of not using pipe tape or pipe joint compound is just another attempt to deflect, pipe joint compound was used on all connections. 123pond will most likely continue to supply substandard CHEAP products! One more point: two other connections used PLASTIC bushings purchased somewhere else and they have not failed. So much for the fabricated "NEVER USED PLASTIC WITH HEAT" it should be "NEVER BUY GARBAGE FROM 123POND"
Let it go, this site also had a few positive post which don't amount to much. If I could post a picture it would be worth a thousand words, catchy huh.. I heard that somewhere. So save the response... I just dropped the mike!

Worse customer services ever. Product they sent me was defective and world fit together. They refused to sent me a new one unless I paid for shipping back the defective one to them.
I purchased a pond pump from 123 Ponds in July 2021 for our pond at our summer place in Lutherville, Md. It was a good pump and ran well. This past November 2021 I purchased another similar pump from them for our home in Delaware and paid $30.00 for express delivery because we needed the pump quickly as our Koi were being delivered. (They could not guaranty quick delivery with their free delivery service so I ordered their express delivery ). The pump came 10 days later, that’s their express delivery service! We connected the new pump to the pond underwater pipes, turned it on and it ran for about 5 seconds and stopped running. I called their returns department and I went through their lengthy return process and paid $20.00 for UPS return postage. That same day I received a text telling me that I bought a similar pump in August and they accused me of switching the pumps. I called and also wrote them explaining how the first pump worked so well that we bought another for our second home, two different pumps and were not switched. They then asked me later to photo the pump all around because all their pumps are coded. All of that information was sent to them in my UPS package. They also told me that even after I connect the pump and it doesn’t work, it is considered used and you are charged fees even if it is connected for one second.
Now in December I am being charged a restocking/administrative fee for defective merchandise. After repeated calls, no one answers the phone so I left messages which were not returned.
I strongly feel that I should not be charged a restocking or administrative charge for a defective pump that they shipped defective to me in the first place. So, for a $129.00 pump, it cost me another $70.00 ($30.00 for express postage necessary for speedy non existent 1 day receiving, $20.00 UPS returns and $20.00 restocking or admin charges).
This company 123 Ponds, has very poor customer service, they are insulting and accuse you wrongly, they don’t return phone calls, and charge you for defective merchandise that they send to you.
Maybe when the read my review, they will have enough integrity, good will and customer service to return some of those fees especially the restocking/administrative fees which should never have been charged because of their error.
Stay away from this company and don’t believe anything they tell you. They spend more time trying to justify their excuses for their poor and deceitful service to their customers than trying to help them to rectify the problem.

What a horrible company, since when does the color of my skin have anything to do with the way i should be helped over the phone, i was simply asking advice on what size pump i would need for a water feature i built in my front yard and the woman I was speaking too after having no knowledge about pond equipment said i should just puck up a different hobby like baseball or something. I mean im not that sensitive so i actually thought it was kinda funny but that doesn't make it ok .

A horrible cimpany that falsely advertises warranties but will not honor them. I had a pump that came with a 5 year warranty that stopped working after only 2 months. The pump was professionally installed and maintained, i sent photo proof and they asked for more photos, then more photos . I sent over 20 photos of every angle and they just kept stalling and asking for more while im at work and my pond sits with no moving water wich left me with no option but to buy a new punp (elsewhere obviously) . Then they told me i better not leave a bad review 🤣🤣. This company is a joke and with so many other options from other pond equipment companies im surprised they didn't just honor the warranty that was offered.

Bought a pond filter. Image shown in the product description was NOT what I received. The customer service person admitted that yes the photo is not what was shipped but that's not their fault. They were not helpful at all as I only found out after the return window had closed. They wouldn't take it back.
