Bad registration
Bad registration, no response from agents.
Hi
I have been trying to create an account for over a week now due to their horrible, terrible system of creating an account, which has blocked me and will not let me proceed due to accidentally opening an account on a different funnel (the humanity!).
Trying to create an account, through the right funnel, results in my account being blocked and unable to proceed.
During this time, I have received only one response to my initial email.
I have tried calling them, no one picks up.
I have sent my documents, and have received no response at all.
In a time where the market is volatile, this kind of delay in getting back to new clients who want to open an account and trade the markets is unacceptable.
I have sent 4 or 5 emails in the course of a week, and I have received only one response on my first email. This does not fill me with confidence *at all*.
What if my inquiry was about my funds? Or a trade that was executed incorrectly? Would I have to wait over a week (and potentially more) to warrant a response?
It is sad that I have to do this in order to get some attention in regards to my inquiry, and I doubt this will even work.
Do not register an account with this company if you wish to do some trades within a few days, or a week even. You're likely better off elsewhere, where the system won't block you from creating an account just for using the wrong link (?).

A bit funny how I have received a reply here within a day yet I am still waiting for a reply to my emails.

To address this -- I have not even made it to the step where I can submit documents. I hope this speaks volumes to everyone reading this about the registration process of IG. I am a long time trader, I have traded in many platforms -
I am not exaggerating when I say I have *never* seen a worse registration process. Never. Not a single platform has given me this much trouble about creating an account.
Honestly, at this point I don't know if I would like to proceed. How can I trust this company with my funds? If you were reading this and this happened to you, would you?
Given the significant increase in market volatility and an influx of new account applications, we are running slightly behind schedule, however we are making good progress on getting through these requests.
Given this spike we are also experiencing a higher number of inbound calls which is why you may have experienced longer queue times. Once again, we’re working hard to get through these as quickly as possible.
Unfortunately, you didn’t leave any way to identify your application when leaving the Trustpilot review (there was a section to add a reference which wouldn’t have been published on the TP forum) so I can’t look into your specific circumstances. The majority of new accounts are opened automatically, however in some instances there may be requirements to submit further documentation. If this is the case, we would have sent an email automatically requesting them. Please double check your emails including your junk email folder.
