Not the best service … for both of us

Received 2 sets of glasses on the eye plan last year, since then had a problem with the lens even though I am on the eye plan still had to pay a further £54 to get my lens fixed as apparently scratches are not covered on the plan!
At the sme time as doing this I decided to try contact lens (daily’s) wasn’t offered monthly’s but when I learnt they did these they re-ordered them. Fast forward 4wks I was still waiting so on chasing this up I was told they hadn’t even been ordered!! Waited a further 10days and went to have my tutorial on them.. wasn’t the best lesson felt rushed and the assistant seemed like they didn’t want to teach the session that I had been booked in for. Going forward I can not see myself continuing with them.
My wife also tried the trial monthly contacts her tutorial also seemed rushed and they didn’t want to do it, on having them in she told the assistant she couldn’t see properly up close on reading but the distance was fine, she was told they would order a different strength but to continue using them. That evening on driving she found lights on vehicles and street lights flared out she had to stop take them out and change into her glasses,
These contacts will also would be going back/cancelled. She is also being charged a higher cost on her eye plan due to downgrading her glasses and being told they would sort it out each time she went in (3 times) now she’s been told she will have to sort it out herself with the company that do the eye plan 😡

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

another typically British outfit that has nothing but pretentious arrogance and complete ignorance. Travelling on public transport to a branch never visited before how dare the transport or your feet or built in geo location be a few minutes late! I was refused my prebooked appointment for being literally 6 - 7 minutes late, in an empty shop the mindless zombie busy surfing tik tok at the counter said your too late you will have too book another time another day and laughed at me saying you are joking? with another laugh she confirmed I can't be seen and she was busy on her selfie album mobile oblivious to why a person could be minutes late, a break down a cancelled train a disabled old lady all kinds of understandable situations that her dusty skull couldn't comprehend. Vision express "superior service" there it was in the flesh to be seen noted and heavily reviewed on every place possible online by me just to warn people what a disgrace of a charlatan garbage company vision express really are. Take your money elsewhere and even if you want to complain its to a pigeon English woman in the Philippines who couldn't care less what your saying nevermind understand you, says it all about that lie of superior service huh. Garbage Avoid ! ZERO STARS...just look below the next zombie pretending to offer "superior service" doesn't even enquire which store it happened lol comedy actors with clearly proven insincerity. Cowboys of industry.

Told my next eye test was free… lies.

2 year ago when I needed glasses they persuaded me to pay monthly and that my next eye test would be free. I received my message saying my eye test was due so I booked an appointment. Afterwards I spoke to the lady to explain that I didn’t need to pay and she said I should have got a message before the 2 years was up otherwise I no longer qualified. I begrudgingly paid but she said she would speak to her manager because it wasn’t my fault they didn’t send the message. I never heard back from her.

They were only interested in upselling…

They were only interested in upselling me, completely ruined the experience of my daughter being told she needed glasses. I will never return

New glasses arrived Today

New glasses arrive from Vision Express today.
£200... and felt pressured into having vary-lenses. Essentially bi-focals.

Tried them on... 90% of the lens blurred.

Reordered them with basic lenses... and it turns out to have basic lenses, the field of view will now be limited to ONLY the very, very, tiny, teeny tiny middle area of the lens.
"Oh, so along with the £200 you've already spent, if you want to actually see through them, that'll be an extra £30 to fix the field of view."

Was never that way before.
Lenses were lenses... not a 2 inch lens with no field of view that then cost extra if you wanted to actually see through them.

When I actually get my glasses next week, that'll be my last time I ever go to rip off merchants Vision Express.

To go from the best optician in the country to the worst, inside of just 2 years... seriously r*tarded business model.

All they care about is hard sales practices, lots of cash, and pressuring you into spending more by making low quality products and then charging more to get what would have cost a fraction of the price just a couple years ago.

Avoid Vision Express at all costs unless you don't mind getting unusable glasses and having to spend more just to see through them.

Expect to wait ages and receive no communication.

Spent a fortune on glasses and waited 5 weeks for them to be delivered before giving up and asking for my money back. I was the one chasing to see where my glasses were only to be told something completely different every time. Really poor experience.
