I ordered a pair of varifocals. Very happy with the service and price so went back and ordered prescription sunglasses. Would use them again. Would like to see more frames on offer and a frame trial and buy service. With both pairs of glasses I bought the frames separately (to try out at home) and then used the reglaze service for the lenses. Would recommend them to friends and family.

I placed my order late one night and realised once I had sent it that I had put the wrong prescription in! I received an email within 5 minutes querying the mistake and sorting it out! I was very impressed with that service. Received the glassses within 5 working days. Would definitely use again.

Did a lot of research beforehand and finally got a pair of glasses I'm happy to wear. Unlike the last pair I got from the optician. Which also cost twice as much too!

If you ave any doubts, speak to Ash at this company. He clearly knows his stuff, and was very helpfulful throughout the ordering process - so much so that I ordered a second pair. I have a high plus prescription and he has delivered lenses that are far thinner and better than high street opticians have ever been able to provide, at considerably lower cost.

I would highly recommend.

As I have a really strong prescription I have always bought from my local optician and paid a small fortune for my glasses. I called Thinlenses to ask for some advice and they were really helpful, guiding me through the whole process of picking the correct lenses and best type of frame for my prescription. In end I got a great looking pair of designer glasses with lenses that are much thinner than my normal ones for less than half the price I usually pay.

I found the website of limited value in choosing frames so I bought some in the high street and used the reglazing service. It worked exactly as advertised and saved me a considerable sum. I will use them again

I was really struggling to find new glasses and a recent test prompted me to hunt in ernest. The Thinlenses site was great because I could look at the frames, try them on "virtually" and compare styles. I was still anxious and I contacted them regarding sizes and lense type and they were really helpful. I got my order sorted quickly and they look great. With the money I saved on my "designer" frames I am now looking for a second pair (and my wife is also bugging me for some sunglasses!!!)

I sent my frames them for reglazing and I couldn't be happier. I was impressed with the way the customer service team answered all my questions so quickly and efficiently. My glasses arrived yesterday and the new high index lenses are perfect! I have a -13 and -10 prescription and I have never had lenses so thin before. I will be purchasing all my glasses from here in the future. Great site with GREAT customer service.

I paid for the thinnest, flattest most expensive lenses (1.76 double aspheric) and what I got delivered was anything but. They were the thickest and heaviest lenses I have ever had, you wouldn't believe there was any high indexing involved at all. They were at least twice as thick if not more than my old lenses which are a lower index and are not double aspheric.
Even my prescription sunglasses which have larger frames and which I don't like wearing because the lenses are too heavy, are still not as bad as these from ThinLenses.
On top of that they also screwed up the prescription (all blurry) and bent the frames as well, so the glasses were not even usable at all and destroyed the screw heads on the frames so I can't even remove the lenses.
Considering what good reviews they seem to have on here and as they claim to specialise in high prescription I really expected a lot more.

Here in the US you cannot get 1.9 high index lenses so I've had to send my glasses to the UK for re-glazing since I moved here in 2005.

The Thinlensses.co.uk experience has been eye opening. I mailed my glasses and had them back re-glazed quicker than my local optician can offer. Superlative: faster, better product and even cheaper.

For the first time in my life, I'm happy to wear glasses. I'm very short sighted and no optician ever told me that glass lenses were the thinnest option - they insisted I have plastic lenses. Now I have my new glass lenses, I no longer have that awful bottle-bottom specs look! A brilliant quick service too

I love this company. They are very profession and offer fast and quality service. If i could offer one small suggestion, it would be to provide a area to check the status while your glasses are being made. But other than that, everything was great. Fast shipping to the USA. Excellent service. I spoke several times with Ash who was knowledgeable and friendly. There was good communication and my calls were returned promptly when I left a message. They were also the best value I could find for reglazing - no hesitation using them again.

The pre-order advice was very informative & courteous. The complex prescription high index glasses were delivered in under 2 weeks from ordering. Most of all, the price, given the complexity of the glasses, was very competitive. Keep up the good work.

I'm very pleased with the quality and service, having been quoted £750 for specs at my optician what a pleasure it was to pay under £300 for similar glasses.
I have just received a second pair and my opinion is still the same. I have recommended them to friends.

I had replacement lenses from Thinlenses.co.uk a year ago and I have just had new lenses fitted by them into new, expensive, frames brought elsewhere for which I didn't fancy paying through the nose for the optics.

They're straightforward to deal with. Just because they're vastly more competitive on price than the high street doesn't mean the work, materials, communication, and service is of a lower standard. On the contrary, they're very good in all respects. Although I would hate to see the town centre without opticians, I can't think why one should pay so much for the same product. Sometimes high st opticians service can be over-fussy and cloying too. The high street opthamologists really need to broaden the services they offer at more competitive prices. And , if you required more incentive, returning customers to Thinlenses get 10 percent off their next bill. That means the high index lenses I had in my recent frames were £110 cheaper than what a nationwide 'budget' optician fanchise quuoted.

They could improve, by selling top-end designer frames. That would make them competitive all round. But I doubt such manufacturers are prepared to discount.

First of all customer service was awesome, answered every question I had. Second, delivery was about 12 days and I live in the USA. Third, my Rx is -8.00.... these 1.9 high indexes are great, they look more like an average -3.00 lens! Very pleased with these glasses. I recommend for anyone who likes the look of glasses over contacts without the bottlecap effect.

Everything went exactly as it should, and I was kept informed of progress

I first discovered Thinlenses.co.uk in 2010. My prescription is pretty bad - -8.5 & -.7.5 and I was sick of being punished by high street opticians for this - Approx nearly £400 plus, per pair of lenses to use with frames I provided. Since that time I have used Thinlenses a further 4 times and never been disappointed especially when I am given 10% off next orders in the form of a loyalty card.

With Thinlenses - I paid about that for TWO pairs! If I have ever had a query I phone Ash who is so helpful, patient and knowledgeable.

After Apple products, Thinlenses is my next favourite product! Thoroughly recommend this company.
