The TV I wanted was in stock and was delivered the next day at the best price.

From the first interactions with Tayla via email, to the subsequent visit and collection of a new Yamaha amplifier with Franklin at the Guildford branch, it was a great experience. They didn’t have my amp of choice in stock, but pulled it down from their main centre within 24 hours. Impressive work. They are a friendly, knowledgable and professional team. Their store at Guildford is like an Aladdins cave, full of great kit for any music enthusiast.

I also signed up to their VIP listing, which is free of charge, which provided a £10 saving on the amp.

I couldn’t be happier and look forward to gradually replacing / updating some of my existing hi-fi kit.

Unfortunately the screen was faulty. Quick call to Richer Sounds, sent a photo and within hours the delivery of a replacement was arranged for the following day. Brilliant service to resolve a problem.

I’ve been remodelling my living room and needed to modernise my setup. Out went my old Mission floorstanders and ageing 5.1 AV receiver. I wanted something cleaner, simpler, and genuinely easy to live with.

My first thought was a Hisense soundbar. I already have a Hisense TV, so the idea of everything working neatly together made sense. I called Richer Sounds Guildford and spoke to Tayla, who immediately put me at ease. She explained their trade-in process and confirmed they could take my old receiver and speakers, which was exactly what I was hoping for.

She was upfront that they didn’t have the Hisense bar in stock to demo. A bit disappointing, but I appreciated the honesty. She suggested a Samsung alternative instead. I’ll admit, I was sceptical. I’ve never been a Samsung fan and was pretty quick to dismiss the idea. Rather than pushing it, Tayla asked if I could send photos of my existing speakers so they could properly assess the trade-in. That alone said a lot.

Franklin then picked things up, finished the enquiry, and got me booked in to demo the Samsung soundbar. He explained why it was so highly regarded and why it might suit my space and needs. No pressure, just solid advice.

When I arrived for my appointment, everything clicked. The soundbar was exactly what I needed. Clean, punchy, and far better than I expected. As a sound engineer, I’m not easily impressed, but this struck the right balance between sound quality and everyday usability. It sounded good, worked flawlessly, and didn’t require an instruction manual every time someone else in the house wanted to use it.

The only minor hiccup was that they didn’t have stock in Guildford when I decided to buy. Even then, it was handled well. Weybridge had one available, so a short trip later and the problem was solved without fuss.

All in all, another genuinely excellent experience with Richer Sounds Guildford. Knowledgeable staff, honest advice, and a refreshingly human approach. Exactly how buying audio equipment should be.

On the several occasions I have contacted the Guildford branch of Richer Sounds recently I have received nothing but the most helpful and technical advice. On top of that, the patience of the staff has been overwhelming. I cannot thank them enough.

Thanks Dan in Guildford, easy to deal with, informative and made the whole transaction smooth and efficient. Had my eye on the Roberts bluetune for a while and richer sounds had a great offer so it was an easy decision. So far it seems like a great product..easy to set up and a surprisingly good sound.

Richer Sounds in Guildford were incredibly Helpful - they had a fantastic discount on a Turntable - and delivery to store for click and collect was easy, no hassle and the staff were fantastic with the questions I had on pickup of the item! Will definitely be going there again for any audio or hifi setups

Being able to go to a shop, on a high street is invaluable in my opinion. We were able to ask the very well-informed staff what we were looking for. Franklin gave us a lot of information, and set the various audio units up to allow us to compare systems in the sound room. Altogether a very successful visit and we are very pleased with our purchase.
