I attended the Glasgow training…
I attended the Glasgow training recently with the trainer Sarah. I would like to say how professional and very thorough she was. I read throught he online material prior to my weekend training and found it very useful. We had a great selection of patients over the 2 days which allowed me to gain some hands-on experience with patients.
Absolutely terrible experience
I had very obvious problems with the results of a treatment in April 2022 at the Harley St branch. Two different injectors each did a different side of my face. During the treatment the instructor advised the trainee doing the right side of my face that she had not gone deep enough. As a result, and after waiting two weeks for it to settle, I was left with incredibly uneven results. As I was a model I understood that it might not go as planned though I didn’t think it would be so obvious. I had hoped that there might be some aftercare/advice on things I could do to improve it. Friends have noticed and I’ve avoided going out because I feel so embarrassed. In the months following I sent several emails, left numerous voicemails and spoke with Gail who promised me she would get back to me and never did. I’ve Whatsapped and messaged on facebook. Everytime I have been told they would ‘look into it’ or I’m completely ignored. All I wanted was advice on how I could fix the issue and was willing to pay should more treatment be necessary. Blown away by the lack of aftercare or basic decency to just respond. Even a response saying they won’t help would have been better than being totally ignored.
Edited in Dec 2022 to say that Mata Courses flagged this with TrustPilot as a fake review and had it removed despite me giving enough information in the review for Mata to easily find record of if they just searched their emails. Fortunately I had proof of all emails, WhatsApp messages and Facebook messages and was able to get it put back up. Another instance of Mata Courses terrible customer service. My issues have finally faded but I feel traumatised by this l company and it’s certainly put me off ever having treatments again.
The trainer was fantastic
I attended MATA in Harley Street London for Botox and Dermal Fillers training and found the course to be really worthwhile. The trainer was fantastic and the practical experience really gave me confidence. I decided to upgrade the the Level 7 Diploma as I was really looking to make a proper move into the aesthetics industry. I will be booking on for more courses in the near future!

Not to be trusted!
I was initially excited to start my new career in Aesthetics with MATA, and I paid in full for the Level 7 Diploma. However, due to family circumstances I have had to delay my training. I requested a cancellation within my 14 days
‘Cool off period’ but yet no sign of any refund over a week later, and all communication lost. Sadly it seems I’m not the only one this has happened to. Will be reporting them this week, such a shame.

Botox/fillers - AMAZING
I have been to Mata a few times for cosmetic procedures as a model - mainly fillers and Botox. My experience has been amazing, I’m always listened to and trust both trainer and trainers 100%. They are kind and gentle, and I’ve always felt at ease and in safe hands. All in all I’m not sure I’d go anywhere else now! Thanks guys :) Sammi

Well, well, well, for every beautiful ladies and gentlemen who are maybe thinking about a freshen up, then register online at MATA be a model, your treatment is always done to a very high standard and the product used is not bog standard but a decent one, you can look online or call them, I love working with mata and the areas I've had done are not in your face literally, I love being a model, the trainer Gail is brilliant and the administration staff are very welcoming so if you think you just want a taster at a fraction of the cost go online and register I thoroughly recommend it

I have visited Mata a few times for different procedures. Always without fail received a 5 star service. My concerns and needs are always listened to and met. I also love meeting new trainees, I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my cosmetic needs.
Gail the coordinator is lovely and very attentive.
Level 7 let down
I paid good money to enrol on the Level 7 training with MATA. I completed and submitted my work in October 2021. I still as yet have received no outcome as to whether I have passed or failed. I have asked for their complaints policy- no reply. I am also outstanding a tear trough master class which I paid full price for (originally I had booked the nose masterclass but we were advised during training that noses were for experienced injectors so transferred my masterclass). I’m still waiting for a training date after having one cancelled and after chasing being told nothing was scheduled at present. I have now gone to the JCCP as communication is non existent yet they are happy to keep taking new delegates. If anyone has any words of advice please feel free to contact me.
1st July
Just an update, I was sent another email yesterday apologising for my certification delay. Apparently it has been cancelled by the OTHM?!?. I’m appalled that there is still no end to this ridiculous situation.
As you can see from the response I was sent by MATA there is a tear trough masterclass in July. When I asked for booking details I was told the one in June (which I knew nothing about) was can cancelled and there might be one in August.
I was asked to remove my review, I won’t do that until I have received my certificate and preferably a refund for my master class.
JCCP have also informed me that they do not and never have approved MATA as a level 7 training institution.
You couldn’t make this up!
I think trading standards will be my next stop.

Thanks for your reply. The email you mention I replied to with quite a lengthy, detailed response. I’m pretty sure you did not read it as I had nothing back from you until I chased you again.
There are a number of contradictions that I addressed in my reply. One being that a submission in October 2021 with a delay of 7 months not being acceptable in any circumstance. Plus it didn’t really explain why I was only actually registered by yourselves with OHTM until March 2022. This is all detailed in my response with corresponding exerts of communication from yourselves and OHTM.
Whichever way you look at it this is completely unacceptable and yet as a company you take no ownership of the poor service you provide.
I won’t even start on my outstanding MasterClass worth £1400!
I am now in contact with several people in the same position as me waiting for their Level 7 certification. I’m glad I’m not alone but also highlights the wider issue in MATA with the level 7 training.

They are not refunding my money and ignoring my communications
I have paid for a two day course. Mata took the payment. Later, they’ve cancelled the training one day before the course, which was totally inconvenient, and offered another training weekend on a set date after one and a half months which was inconvinient, and no other choices were given. I asked for a refund. I don’t get a proper response. They promised to refund in 2 weeks max. It’s over 3 weeks now and didn’t get my money back. Just be careful. I keep calling (7 calls to track this up) and no action is taking. No answer to my emails as well.
Update: 17/6/2022
I have made clear that alternate days were not suitable. They still did not refund the money. It’s been a month now and still waiting. They promised again last Friday and it’s been a week now, not yet received my money back!

Cancelled within 14 day cooling off period and still not received refund!
I booked a place on the MATA foundation course for dermal fillers and Botox, I was no longer able to make the date of the course so cancelled my place through MATA within the 14 day cooling off period. MATA assured me that my refund had been actioned at the time of cancellation. I am still awaiting the refund a month later and have received no communication explaining the delay in refunding me £1080. I have emailed several times and have still not received the refund. Terrible, terrible service.
Update: I have now received the refund.

Amazing Botox and Dermal Filler Course.
My head is still spinning from this Botox and Dermal Filler Course I attended this weekend. Lucy, our trainer was incredibly informative, clear, professional and had patience of a saint as she explained and re explained information whilst putting us delegates at ease. So many patients to treat as well which was essential. So glad I chose MATA as having patients to one after the other was a real insight.
So grateful for meeting wonderful delegates, group dynamics was great and supportive. They will all be terrific in aesthetics.

I’ve always had a pleasant experience with the MATA team customer services. Never any issues. It’s nice when I call up with issues/questions and they’re managed exceptionally without any complications. Catherine is amazing; She helped me so much upon starting my journey with MATA as I was nervous at first. Since April I have made so many new friends through MATA as other delegates, I’ve gained so much knowledge through the training and I’ve also started my own practise. That aside, the customer service has always been one of the best I’ve ever experienced.

Never Book A Course With This Company
I booked for a training for Level 7 Aesthetics last year then lockdown happened so I could not do the course. As with Covid, times are very unpredictable. I told them that our borders in the Isle of Man is closed until now. I fell pregnant and told them I could not do the course as I can’t go away now with a newborn and I cannot quarantine for more than a week just to attend a one-day course in the UK. Guess what? They threatened me that if I don’t pay the course in full, (around £6000) they will pass it on to their solicitors. I have not signed any contracts and they not replied when I asked to get me booked into another course that suits my circumstances (blended learning online) when I asked to do another course instead. Be careful with this company. They took my deposit and would not return it. They have also contacted Trustpilot to edit or take this review down.
I highly recommend MATA
I have been going to MATA for about 8 years, knowing all trainees are medically qualified gives me great confidence in having Botox or fillers, I have never experienced anything negative. I have always been very happy. I highly recommended MATA, and I have to many friends. The Trainers are amazing.

Zero stars
One star is even TOO much for this shoddy and shady company. They offered me a very poor service, their communication is poor, their practice in Harley Street old and dingy, their clinician put her hands in a SHARPS bin for goodness sake, their course was substandard in my opinion and their willingness to find a 'solution'... pfff VOID. Beware of their 14 day cancellation clause. They stick to it like 'a fly on 💩'. Do your research and beware before you sign up.
Great course for beginners
I’ve just completed my foundation practical days and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had plenty of practice on real models some who had had treatment before some who were new. We learned a lot in a few days. Our teacher Darclee was very professional and prepared me well for my future in Aesthetics. I look forward to my Advance training days.
