Whether I’m catching up with friends

Whether I’m catching up with friends, working remotely, or enjoying a solo day out, this café has it all. The layout is spacious yet intimate, with cozy nooks and communal tables that invite connection.

I recently hosted a small brunch here, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. They helped us with reservations and even suggested a few delightful platters for sharing. The brunch spread was a hit—mini quiches, fresh fruit, and an array of pastries that left everyone raving.

And let’s talk about their coffee! The baristas clearly know their craft; my flat white was perfectly balanced, and my friends loved their lattes and cold brews.

A historic, charming café with a lot of character.

I had 45 minutes left on my car parking and had passed the new look Lambert's Coffee House many times and decided to give it a try. I was lucky to be served by a 3rd generation Lambert, Brian, who has lovingly restored the building, which was a former coach house going back to 1699! He has restored much of the original features beautifully. There's a beautiful exposed red brick fireplace for cosy winter coffees. The furniture is in keeping with the café and is very comfortable.  I asked for my Americano in a beautiful china cup and I took it outdoors to make the most of the last days of Summer. Brian gave me a little table and I read the fascinating history of the building and its place in Dublin Street. You can get the history by scanning the QR code on the takeaway cups. It's not often I get a chance to watch the world go by and I loved the atmosphere,  the excellent, friendly service, the décor and most importantly,  the coffee! I will be back and I have been spreading the word about my chance discovery. I will be back!
