Stayed at Lanzarote Park. Lovely staff, hotel well appointed, prestige is marvellous. However terrible ‘entertainment’, tone deaf caterwauling every night. Please stop! Ruins our holiday, we come... See more

Avoid Iberostar Grand Rose Hall
edit:- We did receive a courtious reply from the manager on 10th Feb which was welcome
We stayed at Iberostar Grand Rose Hall, Montego Bay, Jamaica. We had issues every single day of our week long stay. Things that should have been sorted just weren't. Our holiday was more stressful trying to sort the issues, than our normal daily life. I was given the name of the hotel manager - Mr David Lopez, and had a conversation with him, whilst staying at the hotel. He gave me his e-mail address and asked me to write once I was home. He asked for concise details of all the issues we encountered. We did this nine days ago, but have never received a reply, let alone an acknowledgement that he has read our e-mail. I would avoid this company. They lie to make you go away, and do not deliver on their booking conditions. This was not a cheap option for us, and we feel we wasted the entire amount that we spent on the holiday.
Happy days
The beech is one step away from the rear of the hotel. All staff polite helpfully.
Entertainment was super, belly dancing, magician and Evan a tombola.... my son and daughter won 2 day's in a row. Special thanks to Fifi and the rest of the Entertainment staff. Intend to visit Dec 2024. Rooms cleaned everyday water teabags and toilet accessories replaced everyday. Security was at the entrance, everyone's checked before entering the hotel. Can't wait to go back. Visited Tunisia
Absolute Luxury, wonderful food, happy Staff
I was lucky enough to enjoy a little break at this wonderful hotel. When you pull into the grounds it’s very impressive, they are kept very well. I stayed in the section that was adults only, the lobby is very impressive and welcoming. I was staying all inclusive, so I was able to go to the lobby bar and order whatever drink I wanted. There was always a self-service desert stand that has wonderful cakes, and it regularly stocked up.
There was a slight delay with the rooms, that may be because of the people checking out, and the making up of the rooms, however there was plenty to distract you while you wait.
Enjoying some Pina Colada drinks where had, the reception staff where very welcoming Teresha at the Front Desk was very friendly and efficient.
Rooms - As soon as I opened the door, I was so very impressed, I loved that the bathroom has a jacuzzi, sadly only one of the jets worked. There were two sinks on either end, so my God daughter and I didn't have to share. The shower was directly over your head, and very easy to operate and spacey. They have shampoo, conditioner, shower gel on tap, and hand wash and lotion. You also have a bathrobe and slippers, along with towels. It was so very nice, you also had a lovely tea tray with a selection on tea and coffee (from Jamaica) water sparkling and non, complete with a coffee machine, though it does take a little while to warm up... we didn't have any milk, though when we asked it was given. The fridge was stocked with a mixture of soft drinks and bear, and they would restock if required. Samsung smart screen TV, good selection of channels, not to mention BBC classics, loved this being from the UK, you could also mirror your phone to it if you chose to. The beds where so very comfortable, and you can control AC, there was a seated hammock on the balcony, I absolutely loved this, it was very comfortable. You also had the option of room service, sadly I never used this service, it was very clean, and luxurious in every way, it made me feel very special.
Safety -There was never a time where I did not feel safe, I stayed within the resort, however Jamaica is my 2nd home, as my roots are from there, so even going out, I would not feel unsafe. That being said, the same way you would be at home keeping your wits about you, is the same way you would do when you are aboard, and you will be okay.
Food & drinks - Where do I start with this, the drinks where wonderful, no matter what I asked for it was serviced with a smile, I was hooked on the pina coladas. There was no cocktail they could not make highly satisfied, and they did ask if you wanted rum in your cocktail, it was never assumed you did another good observation. Carl and Andre where brilliant mixologist, and very entertaining... The food was various and plentiful, all well cooked and prepared. At breakfast you can have eggs cooked any way you wished, and an omelette with whatever you want in it. All made with a smile, lunch and dinner they mix things up with different dishes, I love fish so I thought it was wonderful that I could tell what I wanted, and they would cook it so nice... The food is laid out buffet style, different stations so example - dinner - they would have Jamaica food station, pizza station, fish counter, the even cook muscles the way you like. They have ice - cream, and desert cake station, they did this for steak asking you how you like it and cooked it to perfection, a chance for you to try new foods. The service and table staff were wonderful, Tresan was one of many that always smiled and brought wonderful conversation when on duty. There is also a Chinese restaurant on site, if this is more to your liking with a selection of food also (sadly did not dine there)
The gym is amazing, though I had to walked through another part of the resort (this is the area that is for families) to get to it (10 - 15 minute walk, the buildings are connected, however also have separate entrances, you can use golf buggies to get from one side to the other, the gym is in a separate building, top machines, and trainer on hand.
There was a timetable broken down into half hour sessions of activities, that are done throughout the day, on an electronic display board in the downstairs area including aqua aerobics in one of pools, spin and kettle bell classes in the gym, to poolside games. Not to mention lounge singers, and mini shows in the indoor theatre on site. There is a pool hall, and gift shops on site, where you buy all your souvenirs, clothing, alcohol, rum, rum creams and so on and also check your email if you need to....
I would highly recommend this hotel, the grounds are kept immaculately, from the marble floor being kept cleaned and polished, to the top-quality food and really customer service and presentation of all staff
Hygiene Desaster in SPA and generally very poor services
Hygiene Desaster in SPA that cost 20€ for 90 minutes. It is the worst I have ever seen.
People get in and get out Sauna and pools without using shower and no tower in Sauna. I even made Video to show how they do!!!
After informing the Spa reception and hotel reception, I was even more disappointed about their reaction: everyone can do what they want, we can’t control people. And as if it is the most usual situation, they just went on with their work.
This is not the first disappointment since I arrived in this hotel 3 days ago… it’s just the culture of this so called 4star hotel : the common attitude is “be happy with whatever you get”.
Rezeption, derive people’s in Restaurants, Barkeepers, spa employee are most unfriendly that I have ever seen in a 4 star hotel.
Only people that were kind with normal attitude were the cleaner lady and the bellboy.
Only positive thing that I will remember will be: clean rooms.
By the way: we were a group of 12 person for Golf.
The attitude of people working in Golfclub that belongs to this hotel, was exact the same.
The service in Restaurants was exact the same level. Example: they don’t leave the sugar on table… but ask how many you want and they give that😳
You can not put the cost on your room in hotel…
Just too much to write …
I will never go to this hotel and the other 120 hotel that belong to this hotel chain…
Iberostar Averroes Tunisia.
Iberostar Averroes Tunisia.
I have just returned from a all inclusive family holiday to Tunisia staying at this hotel.
It is a four start hotel which looks amazing, the room was a good size with a balcony looking over the pool and sea.
The hotel is kept clean, the cleaners are working hard everyday. However parts of the hotel need a upgrade such as some of the furniture in the dining hall and areas of the spa.
The food is okay, however it is much of the same everyday and by day three it is tiresome and you want something different to eat!.
The waiters are all lovely and want to help you as much as possible, all very friendly and take time to get to know you which is nice.
There is a small shop in the hotel which sells fake designer bags and sunglasses along with souvenirs, he is a little expensive compared to outside the hotel but still reasonably cheap if you want to haggle. If you do go outside the hotel to shop be prepared for the locals to try and get you into their shops and get you to buy! They can be quite harassing at times so be firm. There is one shop just near the hotel called Sunflower, this was the best shop we found as it was really reasonably priced and thr staff left you alone to look around and buy what you wanted hassle free! Great shop to check out!
Back to the hotel... The entertainment team are all great, really friendly and funny, good day activities to take part in if you wanted to but the evening shows were not so good. They were in the conference room which was hot as the air conditioning had been turned off, they were supposed to start at 9.30pm but actually started a bit later when more people came in. We didn't stay for the whole of each evening show which included Tunisian dancing, Cuban night, African acrobats and Brazilian dancers.
A few things could bring this hotel up such as minor tidy ups of a few areas such as dining area and spa, possible beach bar. The sun loungers are average and gave some of our group back ache! They are plastic ones and the life guard comes round with a mattress for them each morning. A better selection of food on each night and better evening entertainment.
On a whole a good hotel and most importantly we enjoyed our holiday.
Beautiful resort. Lack of proper medical care.
Beautiful resort. Accommodations were great, food fantastic. Butler Valentin was amazing.
The problem I had is when I experienced dehydration during my son’s wedding on the beach. The medical assistance was poor due to medical personnel being far away and lack of equipment like a stretcher. I’m sure dehydration is somewhat of a common occurrence in the island heat. Need better preparation.
Iberostar was a 10/10 experience
The place was amazing, hospitality was a 10/10, Josue from the Bar, Andy from the spa and Joselyn from the buffet were such nice and hospitable people.
Iberostar Agadir : Time to Return Again and Again
The stay at the Iberostar Agadir over 7 days was superb for us 35 plus golfers and 5 non golfers. All 40 had positive feedback all saying time to return!! From friendly staff to quality of bedrooms and great all inclusive buffet and food near pool side. The cleanliness of the pool area , with no rubbish or empty uncollected employees glasses. Sandy beach is minutes away at the back of the hotel , well worth the dip in the sea. Evening entertainment again was up to west end quality. Thumbs up to the hotel manger , exchange of money at the reception throughout the day and night in all currencies at competitive rates. Large double rooms with 5 star quality bathroom showers , water fountain near the rooms for filling up water bottles with cold icy water , air conditioning worked , reception assisted in all queries we raised.
Agadir is so lovely but This hotel very…
Agadir is so lovely but This hotel very disappointing. There is only one large pool area which has awful loud beating music all day. It’s impossible to relax by the pool as the entertainment team are there doing dances to the incredibly loud music. We asked if the music could be turned down and it was for a few seconds but then it came back even louder! Awful! There is no quiet area to escape and relax unless you go the the beach opposite. Likewise, the bar area is squashed and crowded. Again, nowhere to sit and relax quietly with a drink.
The restaurant staff are excellent …so incredibly efficient and friendly and the food is just brilliant.
Housekeeping staff are ok …they come each day. Our towels were changed every day but the bed linen was not. Pillows smelled very old and stale. Seating in reception and public areas is very dirty. On the whole the hotel is tired and worn out. We will not return.
Save your money and literally go anywhere else
We stayed at Bella Costa in Varadero, Cuba for an all-inclusive for w/o Sep 2 2023, and our hearts just sank as the bus dropped us off at this 'resort'
The entrance is not just lackluster, but just plain dirty and rundown. You walk in to the lobby and wish you had picked literally any other 'resort'. I say 'resort' cuz we've been to few and this is barely a cheap beach motel. Its not been maintained over the year, as is evident from the scrubbed off tiles, and elevator floors.
You walk up the stairs and into your room, and you wish you could just go home. The rooms are absolutely gross, washrooms have rust everywhere, the floor, tiles, tubs, mirror, you name it they got rust there. Our tub was not cleaned, we had no soap or towels when we checked in, we wasted our entire first night and first full day running back to the lobby and repeatedly asking for them.
Oh yes, the beach has no towels either. We waited a full day for those and we got a towel change once when they had fresh ones. We used the same damp beach towels ALL WEEK (well with one change)
Pictures looked good online while booking, which we later found out were from over a decade ago, they look nice but the hotel is literally falling apart, 'LITERALLY'. Water dripping from the ceilings, cracks in the ceiling falling down, only one of the three elevators worked and it was so dingy.
Not complaining about the staff as they were friendly and for no fault of their own, couldn't help with the above. Food wasn't bad either but will definitely not return or recommend.
If it wasn't for the gorgeous beach, the vacation would've honestly sucked big time! We tried to stay outside the room as much as possible and only returned to sleep to minimize our time in the room.
POORLY WORST RESORT!
POORLY WORST RESORT!
I had the pleasure of visiting this resort under the previous administration and had a truly delightful experience back in 2019. However, in the year 2023, when my family and I decided to choose this resort for a momentous occasion - the celebration of four 50th birthdays - it turned out to be an utterly disastrous decision. We deeply regret ever setting foot in this establishment.
With a group of 30 people eagerly anticipating this family trip, our excitement quickly turned to disappointment as we encountered one disappointment after another. From the moment we arrived, we were not offered any drinks or given a warm welcome. The resort failed to accommodate our requests for restaurant reservations, leaving us scrambling for dining options.
To make matters worse, the quality of the food provided was abysmal. food were served undercooked, and the overall taste of the meals was nothing short of repulsive. Additionally, every single room in the resort suffered from leakages, and the air conditioning units were inoperable. The entire resort appeared dilapidated, with outdated structures scattered throughout and a complete lack of maintenance. It is evident that the resort is severely neglected and not properly cared for.
Also, the refrigerators in the rooms were non-functional, adding to our frustration and inconvenience. To add more, I had requested to have dinner at the beach and I was only provided a closed menu which my family and I ended up scrambling for dining options. I had to go outside of the resort to buy insect repellent spray, my mother was bitten in the room by some insect.
READ: I implore you to carefully consider your options before selecting this hotel for your vacation. Our experience at this resort was nothing short of a nightmare, and I would strongly advise against subjecting yourself to such a disappointing and poorly managed establishment.
Short stay at the Iberostar Barcelona
We were on a three day break to Barcelona and wanted a central hotel from where we could walk everywhere. We have stayed previously in an Iberostar in Tenerife (Athelia) and were very impressed with the brand (and are going again this Autumn)so we chose the Iberostar in Plaza Cataluna (Selection Paseo de Gracias)
The location could not be better with all the main sites we wanted to visit in walking distance and with the hotel looking onto Plaza Cataluna the traffic noise was minimal.
The hotel room was spotlessly clean and very modern and comfortable.(noiseless very efficient air conditioning) It even had a TV intergrated into the large mirror on the wall (but no english TV channels available) and with check out not until midday.
The breakfast section had a very wide selection, all very fresh and a selection of cooked meals to order. The service was first class.
There is a pool and bar on the top floor but operated by a third party which we were not impressed with.
Overall it's a great hotel, very friendly staff and well worth the money. Would definitely recommend it.
AWESOME!! THX
This is one of the best lodging facilities I've stayed at in Morocco. It is very much focused on the well-being of guests, the reassurance of hospitality protocols and staying geared towards looking for solutions through creativity and empathy. The check-in to check-out experience was impeccable! Bravissimo... I particularly liked that transparency was a non-stop during my stay. Frankly, after having traveled to Morocco on a multitude of occasions, Iberostar Founty Beach absolutely brings a personal touch and fresh wholesome spirit to Agadir's hospitality sector. Founty Beach's formula bridges the widening gap between the bed and breakfast concept and resort hoteling, which is exactly what I needed after an exhausting 2023 fall, winter and spring. It was perfect for me and my girlfriend, who works I.T. There always seemed to be a peaceful corner somewhere on-site that guest relations was able to propose for her to work. Nonetheless, it was equally enjoyable and adequate for families, and business traveler's that were passing through. In fact, I made two new friends while I stay there. We are meeting in Bruges next week :P I loved how clean, spacious and composed the establishment was overall. My girl absolutely loved the breakfast options. Personnel were extremely cohesive, warm and accommodating. Two staff members, whom had happened to be from the region, were extremely resourceful, offered awesome tips about the town, and directed us to out of this world bargains. I, for certain, will be returning to stay with them in Agadir before the year is out. Iberostar Founty Beach you guys ROCK... See you in the winter!
We had a pleasant experience from the…
We had a pleasant experience from the first step into the resort. Raheem the bell attendant set the mood for the entire his great hospitality and attention to detail is a direct example of the resort.
If I could give a negative star I…
If I could give a negative star I would. Firstly the check in and out staff at Alcudia park are quite rude. No interest in assisting with queries. The room was tiny despite the huge price and not well maintained. No change of towels for the last 3 days. The food was poor and the management of a busy restaurant was not positive. The key bracelet didn’t work and was a waste of time as we had to keep going back to reception. Overall experience was poor much better value with alternative hotel
Groups.
Not a great start to our experience.
We were given €1000 voucher to use against hotel. Apparently you can only book it at the highest rate that is on offer and cannot use any of the discounts so the rate is a lot more expensive than I could’ve paid without a voucher. Do not understand why I am being penalised when somebody has given me a voucher and now I have to pay the highest price. Online it says you can use the voucher but doesn’t specify that you can’t take advantage of the cheaper rates. I wish we haven’t been given a voucher as we are now forced to use this company
Wish I could cancel the voucher and get my money back as it seems to be a win-win for ibeostar and a lose lose for customers
It’s all about the Bad food
It’s all about the food, all inclusive food over the last 4 years in Iberostar has declined to the point of a takeaway fish and chip shop.
No food for kids other then chips and bland pasta.
Basically is chips pizza and pasta with salad and bread.
Once your happy eating this every day for your stay then happy days.
Came home with a broken rib after one of the staff opened a kitchen door into me, kids starving for proper food and at €700 a night for 10 nights for chips and pizza it’s a rip off I’m afraid to say.
The bad news is that was our 4th stay in Iberostar Albufera park! And the food standards have dropped significantly over the years.
Managers could care less by the way, if you complain your only a nuisance to them…
The hotel group needs to look at what 4* is in other countries like Turkey which is second to none on quality and service.
Not a good choice!
First of all, dont ever get the upgrade package with Iberostar in Jamaica as there are only 2 bar locations that have premium liquor and neither are anywhere near where customers hang out. The inside bar location, the air condition did not work (for 6 days) and the bartender leaves at 11pm. The 2nd location is out at the cabana. The covering at the cabana needs to be replaced as they too short. Our room was on the 4th floor and the ice machine and water machine did not work on any floor above the 1st floor. The issue was never resolved the entire time we were there (6 days). The phones do not work as we were told to call the front desk to have the concierge come pick up our bags on the last day, well had to take them ourselves as the phones dont work. Also, all of the pools close at 6pm. Most of us did not want to be in the pool during the day while the sun is out. The lazy river is not so lazy as it did not work the whole time we were there (6 days). Only half of the lazy river had any jets working. Make sure to check your drinks as we ordered a margarita and they made it with pineapple. My wife is allergic to pineapple, so she sensed it on the first swallow. Luckily, my wife caught it and we asked who puts pineapple in a margarita (not everyone behind the bar is a bartender). Room service menu sucks as it only has chicken burger and hot dogs as entrees. Dont come with a large party and try and reserve a table at the steak restaurant. We were only a few minutes late and the rest of our party was there to eat and the waiter had just completed taking the order and immediately stated to us that no one else can join the table, well we were the only 2 people left from our 15 people party and this was the last seating, so why could we not just pull up an additional table, so that we could all eat together. Turns out we had to seat at a table not with the rest of our party and we got our food before the rest of our party. Need to tell the staff in the steak restaurant to use their heads when dealing with large parties. On some positive notes, the spa was very nice and had a great experience at the spa. Also, the hotel appeared to be very clean, and the staff was very nice with the exception of the steak restaurant.
no greeting
arrived at Iberostar Jardin Del sol suites on the 01/07/2023 at around 2.30am no member of staff to greet us or explain the hotel to us also did not get the prosecco that everyone else seem to receive while we was there. my husband went looking for someone while i called the hotel with no answer so called tui who then called the hotel and spoke to the member of staff that my husband found and was with. we was given the key to our room with the times of the restaurant opening times scribbled on it. so if your flight does not land till late don't expect to get the greeting that i witnessed everyone else get when they arrived. A little disappointed as the hotel it self was amazing as was all the staff except one who worked in the star prestige bar who i found very abrupt and rude.
No customer service
Iberostar Costa Dorada, Puerto Plats
Our check in was a nightmare, we were a gripo of 12 persons , all family to celebrate my dad’s birthday. Check in is at 3pm, we didn’t get the first room till 5:30pm. My parents got their room at 6 pm, when the got to there room toilet had no water, they didn’t fix it till 10 pm, after the second request.
That night at dinner they could not accommodate us all at a table , our group had to be spilt up. I asked the waiter for a soda and she forgot, we asked again she told me to go get it REALLY, so I went, or die of thirst.
Next day on my dad’s 93 birthday, at breakfast time asked for them to sign happy birthday, was told they don’t do that.
I have gone to many resorts different ones every year to celebrate his birthday and always this is done.
Next we went to make a reservation for one of la carteé restaurant and was told that was impossible, we explained the reason and they said sorry but they would accommodate us at the buffet restaurant.
That night was the first time we felt welcomed, but we as a group had to sign to him they would not provided and staff, not even a cupcake,
Next day I asked the housekeeper lady to only refill my room fridge cuz we drank the 2 sodas. She forgot. Had to chase her down the hall finally when reached she handed the drinks with an actitud.
The guys Enmanuel “El Flaco” and Tony at the deli snack bar near the pool and beach have the greatest customer service, they need to train all the people that get hired,,
I wished all the people in this hotel learn something about these two.
