I dealt with Ravi and Liam when picking up my new Mini Cooper. The whole process was very smooth and very stress free! I highly recommend Hippo Moto group

We had a very good experience dealing with Hippo Motor group, our first contact was with Daniel who was very helpful in finding us a car very quickly after listening to what we were exactly after. The day of pick up we dealt with Matt at the Peterborough branch who made it such an easy process on the day.

Purchased a car over 3 weeks ago (which we're enjoying) but unfortunately still waiting for the initial £99 deposit to be returned. Customer service has been disappointing past initial purchase. Promises to return calls are unfulfilled.
Great service from Start to finish.
Lewis Smith and Matt Curtis have been brilliant.

Graham, the very nice man who delivered the car to me was amazing. Very friendly and helpful. The car itself was not as described and I am looking further into this. However this has nothing to do with Graham and would definitely recommend him and his companies services

Terrible company. This review is based on my son’s experience. We both bought cars from them and to be honest everything was fine for me but I really feel for my son. Issue 1 - When car arrived the bodywork was in poor condition. They took car back and had it fixed. He was without a car for 2 weeks. Recompense was £12 daily allowance for taxis but he would have to pay and claim back with receipts. He didn’t make a claim as the hassle he had to get car fixed was terrible. Issue 2 - When car was returned to him he inspected it with a fine tooth comb and discovered a nail in the tyre. After negotiating hippo agreed to get it sorted out. However due to my son been off work with an injury the car hasn’t moved much except for a few visits to doctors. He went to get it fixed but it is unrepairable and needs replaced. Hippo have refused to pay for a new tyre. Reason being is he has driven the car. This lead to Issue 3 - while car was away being fixed with issue 1 they had to take under plate off to get bumper off. However on 27th we decided to take a very short trip when there was an almighty clatter. On inspection the front of the underplate had become detached. It became very clear it had not been fixed correctly and completely destroyed the under plate which is now needing replaced. My son has emailed pics and spoken with Hippo who have refused to fix this issue. Bearing in mind he has a 3 month warranty they are refusing to take issues on board. My son has asked if a complaint could be raised and speak to a manager both of which have been refused and the matter closed by Hippo. Avoid avoid avoid.

My experience with Hippo Motor Group raises significant concerns from both a consumer‑rights and data‑protection perspective. The Range Rover Velar I purchased was misrepresented, with incorrect and contradictory service‑history and mileage records. Hippo stated the vehicle had been serviced at 42,000 miles, yet the last genuine service was at 26,000 miles. Several entries were duplicated with different dates and mileages, making the history unreliable and misleading.
In addition, Hippo held incorrect personal data throughout the sales process, including the wrong telephone number, wrong email address and even the wrong title. As a result, my warranty information, contract documents and personal details were sent to another individual, which constitutes a serious GDPR concern. Hippo cannot explain when my details were changed, how this occurred, or what verification (if any) was completed before altering my data.
Their complaint handling has been vague, dismissive and lacking accountability. Instead of addressing how my data was compromised, they requested ID — despite already demonstrating an inability to safeguard the information they hold.
Based on my experience, Hippo Motor Group has demonstrated misrepresentation, poor data governance and inadequate complaint resolution. I would urge prospective customers to exercise caution.

We part exchanged with Hippo and the whole process was smooth, friendly and customer focussed. Bailey who handled the sale was excellent and incredibly helpful at every point. Overall we had a very positive experience with a more than fair deal to match.

From identifying a car that I liked online over the weekend, through to making the appointment, testing the car and negotiating the best deal and package for me, I was very impressed with the team at Hippo in Blackburn. After sale service has been equally impressive. The team there are professional, friendly, knowledgeable and I felt they went the extra mile to ensure I was entirely satisfied. Can't recommend them highly enough.

I wish there was a minus stars.
Hippo have provided the most appalling customer service. I bought a £26,000 car from them on 3 Dec 2025 one owner and full dealer service history.
When the V5 came back I was the 4th owner.
They blamed auto trader and said auto trader automatically put one when they are unsure of the number of keepers BS
I have emailed every single person within Hippo most of which don't acknowledge or reply.
It then lost all the oil on my way back from Manchester airport at 10.30pm on my own, when I washed it the black powder coating on the wheels began to peel. The car had respray lines down the passenger side and a misaligned headlight. When I checked Carverticle it had been involved in a non-recorded accident in 2019 totally £3k - £5k they denied all knowledge( I raised this in February) surely they look at history for cars they intend to resell.
I returned to Hippo in March who said it was up to me to activate my extended warranty as they don't have any mechanics themselves to repair vehicles. Fawaad the Sales Manger has fobbed me off from the very first day I raised my complaint.
The oil repair took 6 weeks even though they said they had the parts after 2 weeks and the wheels still haven't been done. They offered no compensation, or redress at all, I said I wished to reject before my 30 days and they refused and said I had to allow them to repair the car.
Aftersales is none existent, they have lied about the vehicle from the very beginning, I have tried to escalate it to the Chairman CEO etc and nobody replies. The car has gone back in today to have the wheels refurbished which has took them 2 months to arrange, they said they said they would use a 3rd party, then said they wouldn't, said they would arrange a hire car but I would have to get a taxi the couple of miles round the corner to collect it - (thankfully enterprise are far more customer friendly and collected me) when I dropped the car off and told him all 4 wheels need doing he then said it needs to go to a 3rd Party!!!! We have spent a month arguing over 3rd parties to be right back at base.
I would never buy another vehicle from Hippo and advise anyone who maybe thinking of buying from them to think long and hard. The company sell anything and everything and genuinely don't care about you regardless of the original purchase price.
Please do point out which areas you don't agree with. I have no need to lie all I have stated is true and correct so please don't insinuate otherwise.
