Never fly with this company

Does not even matter that I write my experience this company is dog €|©¥ and the reviews are already in the gutter. I wish I saw the reviews before booking. Flight was delayed 3 times gate changed 3 times then flight cancelled. First delay was 24hours before the flight I would like to know how. Please never bookwith them force them out the airports. WestJet should be ashamed to even be a sister company.

This airline should be forbidden

Cancun - Toronto
Worst travel journey in my life!

First flight got cancelled. But instead of telling that from the start, they delayed it hour after hour at the airport.
We had the option to fly on the next day, there was no flight from their side for this day.

The return flight Toronto - CUN
They told at least the day before that the flight got delight.
- wrong date at the online boarding passes
- flight got delayed 4 times that day
- no informations at the website
- finally boarding - 40min waiting at the airfield to board the luggage

- instead of arriving at around 19:00 we received the luggage at midnight

Real disappointment

Not enough boarding staff, zero boarding communication
Delays, anything they broadcast is untrue
Unbelievable experience
Pilot just on speaker apologizing again as I write this
This is a discount airline, I understand, but this is ridiculous

NO compensation-FALSE Option to book other airline.

I received an email that Swoop is refusing to compensate me 700$ for additional expenses incurred when I was forcibly stuck in Moncton NB for 3 days.

Swoop website says they can book you on another airline carrier, but there is no one available to speak to or chat with.

On the 20th of January 2023 the ONLY option I had was to rebook with Swoop. I unsuccessfully tried to contact swoop over 10 times to get booked on another airline as many were leaving and could have gotten back Saturday and Sunday morning. I suppose you’re already know this but Swoop has absolutely no customer service. You have a telephone number that tells you to refer to the website and and hangs up on you and contacting you through messenger didn’t work on the Friday. There was no automatic response until Saturday. Additionally, when I finally made it to the airport on Monday, I spoke to the agent and supervisor of swoop to ask about how I would be compensated, and they referred me to the telephone number that hangs up on you. Nice job! Lastly, the flight that was cancelled on the 20th after 4 cm of snow, yet somehow Swoop miraculously was able to take off on 23rd of January during a 35 cm snow storm.
A snow storm so treacherous that when I left for the airport with my rented car, I got stuck in snow and stranded in the middle of a street for 45 minutes.

After months of preparation, I missed my parents 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday the 22nd of January that I will never get back. Additionally, with no one else to take them, my twin boys missed and lost an in person acting audition call back on the 23rd that the casting director couldn’t reschedule.

Please revise and reimburse me and doing the right thing

Reservation Cancelled, to book another flight it is 3 times as much

I made reservations for a flight from Hamilton and Halifax, return. Approximately 3 weeks before I received emails to inform me that they changed my reservation to other dates. because "In order to balance capacity, we have made measured adjustments to our schedule to proactively mitigate last minute disruptions across the network".
The flights they rebooked me on were way outside of the time I needed to be in Halifax. I went on their site and tried to book other times and now the price went up 3 times as it was initially.
I appreciate the early notice the flight was cancelled, BUT if they have these scheduled flights on their website, but don't want to fly them, they should basically get out of business.
I will never attempt to fly Swoop again, and Westjet is questionable too..

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!! The cancelled our flight 30 minutes prior to boarding. Offered us another flight that would only have us at our destination for 3 days instead of 7. Had an issue with cancelling the tickets and you can’t speak to anyone except a computer generated response to your inquiry. NEVER BOOKING AGAIN WITH SWOOP

Extremely poor management

Could say the worst flight I've ever been to. They pretend it's a cheap flight and you end up paying more than most airlines, they charge you for everything you could imagine while they have disastrous quality. When we landed to the Toronto airport from Cancun Mexico, our luggage was delayed for 1. 5 hour for no reason. Around 200 tired passenger were waiting around the conveyer and not a single cutomer service showed up to let us know what was going on. A staff in the aireport even called for the customer service and no one showed up. They charge you to the last cent when receiving the money, but when it comes to service, no one is reponsive.
I'M SO GLAD THAT THIS WAS MY LAST EXPERINCE EVER, FLYING WITH THIS AIRLINE.

Avoid at all costs!!

I’d like to personally thank Swoop for the amazingly terrible experience I’ve had on my trip. Get to the Cancun airport to return home and my digital boarding pass is not accepted at security so I had to wait in the check in line with every other passenger on this flight. The flight is delayed over 3h and they did give everyone a voucher for food which was useless because its not valid for Alcohol and all the restaurants at Cancun airport close between 9:30 and 10pm. Then get to the gate area and it just says departure at 00:18+? Originally planned to depart at 19:45. I have travelled a fair bit and never seen a plus next to the expected departure time. The staff were rude and considering it’s a discount airline a lot of stuff I could let slide but they treat you like herded cattle. SPEND THE MONEY AND FLY LITERALLY ANYONE ELSE!

Zero communication on lost bag

UPDATE 1/4/2023 - Our bag is still missing and after talking to ground staff at both airports, it cannot be located. Still no communication from central baggage. Almost 2 weeks since it was originally delayed.

Communication with the airline is in dire need of improvement. There is no way to contact this airline other than through social media and an email form on their website.

We flew to Cabo on December 24, 2022 and our bags were delayed. We filed a claim at the airport, and emailed their support team. An automated email states that their central baggage team will respond in 72 hours.

Our vacation came and went, we returned home, and over a week later, we have not heard anything from the airline and don’t have our bag back.

Christmas is peak season, I get it. Cold weather delays operations, I also get it. Leaving your passengers in the dark and setting false expectations, however is a recipe for customer frustration and churn.

Do not fly with this airline unless you only need carry-on (which they also charge for) or are willing to gamble.

Swoop did the job

Swoop got us to our location while other airlines cancelled flights. Flight home was great. Pretty much arrived on time and plane was a new one. Only complaint was they moved our flight a day later but we were given the option to get a refund.

Weather cancelation for clear sky’s

Would not fly Swoop. Canceled our flight due to weather. It was clear in Hamilton before we left and it was clear in Edmonton where we were supposed to go. They had no one at the desk to trying rebook us. When someone did come to the desk she was useless and looked for and reason to not talk to you. My wife talk to her the sign my wife show frustration she said she would not talk to us because of the our attitude. Worth the extra money to fly a better airline.

Don't fly swoop

By far the worst airline I have ever used. The flight was delayed by over an hour to debag someone's luggage, which would normally be fine but then they must have left half the planes luggage on the tarmac. There was no one at the airport to even tell us that the luggage was not on the plane and it has been 4 days and no one will even answer as to where the luggage is or when it will be received. There is no one to reach by phone and they are not responding to social media msgs either. FLY AT YOUR OWN RISK! Do not check your luggage. The savings is not worth the loss of your belongings if they are more expensive than the extra $300 off the cost of the flight

Do NOT book SWOOP

Our Agency booked the whole package to Las Vegas flying with SWOOP. Our flight was Dec 10 to Dec 15. When we were about to check in on Dec 9 on SWOOP website. It says our flight has changed to Dec 12 to 14. We already had everything booked and paid for including our hotel and activities. SWOOP just changed our flights without any notice!!! Dec 12-14? So they expect us to fly there and come back in one day? How ridiculous is that?
When we tried to contact SWOOP by phone, there's no one there to pick up the phone. There's no email to contact. The only way is through Messenger and after waited for a long time and repeated myself 5 times, they finally got back to me and told me to just cancel the flight. Now I have to cancel everything and some of the activities have no refund. And hotel cancellation has to be at least 48 hours or no refund. SWOOP totally screwed us over. Ruined our trip and cost us a lot of money!
If I have to warn the whole world not to use SWOOP, I will. I dont want anyone to go throught the same thing as I did.

I hope they go out of business and wish they would get the hell out of my city. Hamilton. Scam artists is to nice for this guys. 2 minutes late for Check-in and they cancelled flights for 4 generations of my family. 2 crying granddaughters 3 and 8 years old. They couldn’t care one bit.

They don’t give you what you paid for

Paid to upgrade to seats with extra leg room. Boarded and our seats were regular on both departing and return flights. Was told by the flight attendants it was a mistake because they changed the aircraft and to contact swoop for a refund of the upgrade price. Contacted them and they refused to refund us. We even checked with the ticket agent on our return flight to make sure that we were in extra leg room seats we paid for. She confirmed that we were. Of course we were not.

No compensation for nearly 3 hour delay

Flight was delayed 2 hours 54 minutes, they took 6 months to respond to my email just to tell me that I can't get compensation or credit because the flight delay was under 3 hours (6 minutes under).

Staff at the airport didn't care, they told me they're contractors and not their responsibility. WestJest on the other hand always gave credit for even 30 minute delay.
