Fantastic advice and customer support…
Fantastic advice and customer support from Mohan Poudel and team. I had to get luggage delivered to another airport and then stored for a few days. Dependable and communicative through the whole process.
Under performing
Fighting to get my Apple AirPods back from Lost Property (Excess Baggage) at Helsinki Airport. They’re geolocating to the premises for over a week and are being used by someone. Very disappointed by the complete lack of engagement - am escalating until I get them back.
Charged twice and left feeling scammed
First time using Excess Baggage at London Bridge and had positive expectations after booking and paying online.
When I dropped my bag off, the staff member incorrectly asked for my QR code and scanned it.
When I returned to collect my bag, the different staff member on duty told me the QR code had already been claimed, and forced me to pay again in order to access my bag.
This was despite me explaining to him what had happened, showing evidence I had paid online and my bag still being there, clearly unclaimed until now.
When I challenged this, Security were called. It was a stressful and unpleasant experience, particularly as a lone female traveller.
There is no manager available at weekends to resolve issues, and I found today (Monday) that there are no customer service staff available, the manager is working from home, and appears to be ignoring emails.
I would have expected the issue to be resolved onsite on Saturday, however the staff member told me he would be made to pay for my case if I didn't pay again.
If this is true, this did not seem to me to be a fair way to run a company for either customers or staff.
I will use alternative services in future.
Indifferent service and far too costly
Being honest, and newly unemployed, I was appalled to be charged £20 for two bags (£10 per bag) and for just 3 hours' storage but there was no way I'd be taking my suitcase up Calton Hill to its café. I kept two lighter handbags on my person. In London the last quote I saw recently was £6 per bag.
The first staff were rather indifferent. There was a wait both when dropping off and picking up. And I was relieved nothing had fallen out of a shopping bag as they didn't seem to take the most care.
The man who dealt with the return was much more friendly and professional but overall this was disappointing.
Extremely high mark-up on products
A wheel on my suitcase broke en route to the airport and so I was pleased to be able to buy a replacement suitcase before check-in at LHR T5. BUT it came at a high price. I was charged £130 for a suitcase available from the brand's own website at £80. That is a mark-up of almost 40%, which is pretty outrageous and counts in my book as opportunistic price-gouging.
Poor experience at Manchester Airport…
Poor experience at Manchester Airport T2. Booked 2 cases for 24 hours and paid online. Admittedly we were (precisely) 10 minutes late collecting our bags due to a 20-mins delayed train from city centre. Was charged for a full additional 24 hours to cover the 10 minutes. I think either waiving the surcharge or charging a pro rata amount to cover the additional 10 minutes would have been reasonable; charging the full 24-h price was unreasonable and left a poor taste.
