Nice products - terrible aftercare service.

Nice products, terrible service.
Standard automessage that they are busy to my support request - didn't fill me with hope.
After a long week or nothing I was told the faulty product (soft close) was out of 2y warranty, could I share some details to discuss replacement. Shared this and more weeks later no response - still none, nearly a month since the original enquiry.
Item still broken, no means of contact. Horrible experience.

Terrible service and quality products

Terrible service and quality products. I'll buy anything other than Duravit in the future. For the second time in short succession the soft close damper on our Starck X toilet seat has failed.
Despite the 18mm damper being easily removed Duravit say it is a non replaceable item and want £400 for a new SEAT! They won't supply a part number and don't reply to their emails. Terrible customer service.

Problem with Sensowash Slim Unit

We ordered a Sensowash Slim unit to replace one that had failed after a good number of years use. The replacement clearly has a sensitivity problem with the remote which it doesn't recognise. After numerous contacts via our bathroom supplier and being asked to 'try this' or 'try that' we are no further forward after almost 4 months. Our interaction has always been polite and constructive but it now seems we are just being completely ignored. Nowhere near good enough is an understatement.

Plumber came to fit the shower seen that we also needed to order the back blue box for this. It should be sold together.

The soft close failure.

The soft close failed after 18 months, simple contact company and kindly request the small component. After multiple requests for photos and no response I can only conclude that they wear a complainant by attrition. Dreadful service and product.

Still waiting for my toilet seat !

I have been waiting for a toilet seat to be delivered for 2 months. No responses to emails, the call waiting is excruciating. I'm starting to wonder if there is even anyone there!

Not a good quality product

Not a good quality product. It is the second time I have to order a toilet seat per 2 years! They just cracking with no reason for it. I'm not even overweight! You just came in to your bathroom and see, that your toilet seat is cracked. And the price is not cheap. Unfortunately I have to order from this stupid brand again, because there is no compatible seat from other company

The worst toilet I’ve ever sat on

I’ll start with the only nice thing I can say: if you’re buying this Duravit wall-mounted toilet purely for aesthetics and it’s going in a show home that will literally never be sat on, then yes this toilet is for you. Sleek, minimalist, modern, the kind of thing that makes guests say “ooh, fancy bathroom.”

Perfect Instagram toilet.

But if there is even a 1% chance that a human being will actually use this thing, run. Run far away.

This is hands-down the most uncomfortable toilet I have ever sat on in my entire life, and I say that with zero exaggeration. The bowl shape, the seat angle, the way it forces your body into the world’s most awkward position… it’s like the designers forgot people actually have to sit on it. I’ve used port-a-potties at music festivals that were more comfortable.

And don’t even get me started on adding a bidet. You can’t. Not without ripping the entire toilet off the wall, rebuilding the plumbing access, and turning it into a full weekend demolition project. The mounting design makes any aftermarket bidet attachment basically impossible. For a “premium” toilet in 2025, that’s just insulting.

I never thought a toilet could make me genuinely angry, but every single time I use these things I walked away muttering curses. It’s expensive, it looks expensive, and it performs like a cruel joke.

If you care about actually using your bathroom instead of just photographing it, buy literally anything else.

Now on our 3rd Duravit toilet seat

We are now on our 3rd Duravit toilet seat (for 2 loos). I massively regret paying for a so called premium brand. All 3 seats have developed cracks. I've tried to get the last one replaced but the reseller we bought it from says Duravit are claiming this isn't a manufacturing problem. And yet i see from these reviews that this is clearly a consistent issue with their seats. It must be down to poor material and/ or design. Now we are stuck with Duravit as no other seat fits. £150 a seat! Disgusting. Take my advice and go for a simpler, cheaper brand that you can easily get replacment parts for..avoid Duravit toilets or be prepared to pay through the nose for a new seat every 2 years.

Please do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from Duravit

Please do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from Duravit toilets. Their toilet seats are of such poor quality that they WILL deteriorate after a few months if you use ANY standard store purchased household bathroom cleaners on them. They are not made to be used in the American market.

I have issues with both of two Duravit toilet seats that we had installed only 9 months ago. Both seats have:
1.  Rusting hinges (where the seat meets the pan).
2.  Dark marks appearing on the bottom of the seat and the inner side of the cover. These honestly look like fecal residue but no amount of scrubbing with any bathroom cleaner, or vinegar and water, or baking soda and water, will remove these. It's the paint finish wearing off in spots.

These issues are occurring after only a few months of use (creating a disgusting impression especially since one of these toilets is in our powder room used by guests).  I am quite frankly shocked at the poor quality of these seats and they look like they are 50 years old after just a few months. We have 2 other toilets in our home (one by Kohler and another by American Standard and neither of those have any issue considering that we use the same standard grocery store purchased bathrooms cleaners to clean all the toilets).

Duravit says to follow their 'instruction manual' for the cleaning of the seats. Who’s ever heard of an instruction 'manual' for a toilet seat !? You use, you clean – it’s not rocket science.

When I took this up with Duravit, this was their response:
My name is Bryan and I am one of the Product Managers at Duravit. I am sorry to hear about the issues experienced, but in reviewing your photos and discussion with Logan, the issue is indeed caused by a combination of ammonia chemical reaction and gas vapors from your bowl. For the hardware, it is imperative that bleach/ammonia chemicals are immediately wiped off when contacted with the seat hardware. If they are allowed to settle, then it will discolor the hardware as you have experienced. Please note that this type of discoloration only occurs with a chemical reaction that was applied to the surface. In addition, our seats are made with environmentally friendly plastics and hardware, so comparing to a seat made from 25 years ago is not apples to apples. Those seats are usually produced with chemicals that while have better protection from cleaners are no longer allowed to be used on household goods, which is why the care guides that were included with the seat are important to follow.
While I understand your frustration on the matter, there is nothing further we are able to assist you on this topic.

Not only did they not compare apples to apples (the other seats I have are also 9 months old – not 25 years old), but their answer was completely dismissive stating that no cleaners (bleach, ammonia, etc) should be used on their seats. Of course I wipe any cleaners off the seats and bowls; I don’t sit on bleach.
The poor quality finishes are because they are made to European standards (where store purchased cleaners likely don’t contain chemicals as here in the US) and not American standards and therefore, they don’t hold up to usage with store based cleaners available here in the US. That’s also why the Kohler and AS seats that I also have don’t have the same issues after using the same cleaning products.
So much for their 5 year warranty.

Therefore, RUN, don't walk, AWAY from Duravit toilets because their seats are CRAP – literally.

JAN- Understanding & Extremely Helpful

Jan kindly helped me with sourcing a part for a Duravit flush valve that I was having great difficulty in obtaining. Jan was simply brilliant and proactive in how she helped resolve this. Jan’s active listening approach, dealt with this problem even though it was not part of her immediate remit. A really excellent representative of the Duravit team; going above and beyond; proper customer service. Well Done!

Never buy a Duravit Japanese WC

I bought a Duravit Japanese WC together with the specific water tank recommended. I bought it at a shop called Sawiday in Brussels (Don't recommend either). At the moment of the installation we realised that there was a metal piece missing, which was supposed to link the water pipe of the tank to the toilet. I went back to the supplier (Sawiday) that in turn sent the request to Duravit. 1 month later and without previous warning I receive a parcel from Duravit with theoretically the missing piece. In the instructions it said to throw away the pipe linking the tank to the WC. Then I was recommended to buy another Duravit pipe that then does not fit with the prior piece or the tank. Then I write to Duravit explaining everything and they continue to take their time in replying. It's been a month and a half. My recommendation even though they are very pretty and have lots of functions is NEVER to buy a Duravit WC and/or tank.

Misleading warranty and poor customer service

I bought a Duravit toilet seat that cracked under normal use. When I contacted customer service, they immediately rejected the warranty claim — without even asking for photos of the damage or proof of purchase.

Their so-called “lifetime warranty” is completely misleading. If they dismiss any issue as “misuse” without evaluating the product, then what exactly is covered?

Extremely disappointing from a brand that positions itself as premium. Not worth the price, and definitely not the service you’d expect.

Shoddy company.

I contacted Duravit about a hairline crack that appeared in my duravit toilet. Although they supposedly offered a lifetime guarantee , this doesn't apply unless you register the product. Shoddy, only interested in your money. Once you pay they no longer offer any help or support. I will never use again. People should know that there is no point in paying for Duravit , they don't honour their guarantees.

Poor quality despite high price

I've had a vanity unit from this company and despite looking after it the wood door has split within 8 months of use. Now they are saying they will not replace the unit. The company are expensive and make bathroom units that aren't water resistant. Don't waste your money with them.

Don't use this company they are a scam

Don't use this company they are a scam. I used the Regular Baths website and even though the website shows they are in Inverness they are supplying goods from China that never arrive. There is no phone number to call them and they take more money from your account than is advertised. I ordered a shower and it never arrived, and i have been chasing for two month, I have had no other choice but to try and claim back through my credit card provider. Please avoid this company all costs, if i could have given no stars I would have done.
