Best trip of my life!
I had the most amazing trip, at first I wasn't sure whether or not, I should spend that amount of money on a trip. But I can tell you, that money can't buy true happiness. This trip was the best thing I've ever done, and though it can be pricey, the month I was away In Botswana I've never been happier and contempt with my life. When you're sitting at the bonfire at night, exchanging stories with people from all over the world, or sleeping atop of a container - where the kitchen happened to be. Looking at the milky way and thousands of stars. Even though it was 1-2 degrees Celsius in June-July at the night, I've never slept better than I did a top of a container. We had to feed all the animals - Lions, leopards, wild dogs and Gary. It was such an amazing experience you could feel a rush in your body, when looking straight into the lion's eyes, knowing you're so close to such a powerful animal.
This was only a small part of the experience.
I can't possibly tell in words how amazing this trip was. So "just do it" you won't regret it, only that you didn't get to experience this wonderful place in Africa!
Cheers - Marcus from Denmark

Turen til Bijanbari / The trip to Bijanbari
For some years ago (2010) I went to a little village in the Himalayan mountains, called Bijanbari (near Darjeeling), to work on a school (The Vidya Jyoti Acadamy), as a teacher in english.
To go on this trip, has been one of the best decisions in my life! The people in Bijanbari are the nicest, the kids are fantastic, and Adventure Heart and especially the organisation in India (Hamro Sankalp Welfare Society) were extremely well-organized and helpful! Travel with Adventure Heart and the Pradhan family, and you will have the time of your life; with great adventure and a chance to help indian children!
My absolute best recommendations!!
Bijanbari
If you want an experience that will change your life - book the trip to Bijanbari.
I went there some years ago and I miss every second of it. I was in India for 3 months and the family Pradhan took care of us like we were family.
Using Adventure Heart was a really good idea. They had planned the whole trip in corporation with the Pradhans and it made the trip go really easy and safe. Nothing was boring to do because the Pradhans had so many funny stories to tell and they engaged us in all the activities.
When booking a trip that is planned by Adventure Heart it makes it possible to enjoy every second because you don't have to think about how to book tickets or paying too much for food etc. you can just enjoy the moment and the culture in a different way.
- it differently changed my way of thinking and living in the best possible way.
Bijanbari
A couple of years ago I went to India with one of Adventure Hearts programmes - back then I think the trip was called 'Himalaya'. We went for three months, with two months of voluntary work. Overall I'd say we had a great trip. We got to experience everything Adventure Heart had told us we would, as well as a bunch of lovely guides. The Pradhan family took care of us throughout the entire trip. In Delhi, and for the first two weeks of travelling, it was Mr. Pradhan that made sure we saw EVERY monument and fantastic building there was to see. He was really good at giving us information about their culture. He also travelled with us all the way from Delhi to Bijanbari, which felt really safe. In Bijanbari we met Roshni Pradhan, Mr. Pradhans daughter. She became a second mum to us for the two months we were there. She went with us on the hiking trip, she drove with us to Darjeeling on our days off, and all in all she tried to make us feel like home. And when we had to leave Trekker's Hut and all the wonderful kids (several of whom some of us are now sponsoring), we cried and hugged for hours. If you want to take a trip to a different culture, and meet people that invite you in to their homes for tea (LOTS of tea), and have a totally original experience, then Bijanbari is the place to visit. It's definitely an isolated pearl in the Himalayas.
Even after so many years I still miss everything about Bijanbari and the people I met there. We had a week of travelling afterwards, where we river rafted, and so it simply didn't just feel like three months. We got Adventure Hearts programme and SO much more.

My best travel ever!
I have had an amazing trip in Venezuela. We have been involved with a lot of people who really wanted to give us the best experience. Even though there have been some problems with our bus that broke they have been really quick to find other solutions.
It has been a blast and I could really feel that our guides love their conutry and wanted to show us all of it. They listen to what we want to do and try their best to fulfill our wishes.
It could have been nice to know some stuff about the exchange rate of the money at a little more of the political situation before we went. It was like the one in charge in Denmark didn´t know much about the county and the lack of toiletpaper and deoderant and so on, so we could have broard more from home.
But the experience in Venezuela has been the greatest. The guides was so involved that we kind of became a family. I like that a lot!
Venezuela
I don't know if I can write this in Swedish but I will write in English justbin case.
So my trip to Venezuela and Cuba has been great, I mean none of those 2 countries are similar to Sweden or Denmark, so just in general it's a big difference from what we are used to in our daly basis.
I will start with the trip to Venezuela first because that's the part of the trip we all participated in.
I think a lot of people in the groups had a hard time just adapting to to the way things are in Venezuela, coulture chock as you can call it. Home if we need something it's not hard at all to just go and get it, but in Venezuela its not the way it is due to the governmental an economical situation ... So one thing you can approve in advance is to tell groups before they leave about VenezuelaIs current situation. One thing Christian can approve in Venezuela is to plan ahead the pocket money situation for the group. I know just getting money is a little bit tricky, sometimes even the ATMs run out of money... But just planning a little bit ahead could be a good idea. And one more thing he can approve is to remember stuff, like the skydiving videos ( he can get like a notebook or something to just help him out with his memorie)
I really got along with the group leaders Maria, Jonathan,Richards and iruani. I can't complain at all when it comes to them. I even think in the beginning that I talked more to them than I did with the actual group.
Just because the majority of the group is Danish, a lot of Danish is spoken so that was a little bit frustrating in the beginning... But I do understand that it's not like it happened on purpose for us Swedish to not understand, but more English would have been great ( some people were better than others with that) :)
I think you as adventure heart and the people in Venezuela should have more contact with each other, just update each other about the current situation.
Some Danish people complained a lot about that we didn't get enough Spanish lessons. But one thing the group leaders said was that if anyone wanted more that person could just come anytime and they would get it (Jonathan was really good with that) the group leaders tried to fix the problem.
Maybe the camp could be fixed up a little, like the luxury buss... In some seats there were like spikes so I and some other people got hurt.
I can't think of more, I had a great time, met a lot of new friends both Danish and Venezuelan, made a lot if new memories, and I will never forget this trip.

Venezuela & Cuba 2015
I went to Venezuela for 12 weeks (Cuba 2 weeks). I had an amazing time. I think that Venezuela is a really beautiful country with a lot of beatiful nature and friendly people. The best thing was that we got to see a lot of different places, everything from high montains to carribean beeches to the savanah. We were never bored. It was a lot challenges, for example climbing Roraima wich was one of the hardest things I have done but it was also one of the most amazing things.
The guides were really over my expactations. They becamed like family that always helped and were there for us 24/7. Sometimes things did not go as it was planned, but the guides always did their best to fix it. I always felt safe and taken care of. I loved to get to know the danish people that i traveled with but it was also so much fun to get to know the guides from Venezuela because that way we also got to know the southamerican culture.
The only thing I'm dissapointed with is the volunteer work that was not planned well. But besides that, this trip was so much fun and we had so many adventures. I would defintitly recomend this trip.
