We're also glad to hear that you're enjoying the scents and our new bundle options.

On your point about the size, the applicator is designed to be efficient and travel-friendly. Because it allows you to wash using just one side of the bar, it helps reduce how much soap is used per wash. Without Bob, more of the bar is typically used at once when lathering in your hands.

That said, we completely understand your perspective, and we’ll definitely keep this feedback in mind as we continue to improve.

Bob can take a little getting used to as it’s a completely new way to wash. For anyone struggling with lather, a small tweak in technique usually does the trick. A quick, firm circular motion with the applicator builds the lather up properly, then you can spread it from there.

We’ve recently upgraded our formula to deliver a richer lather and stronger scent. Because our bars are made with naturally derived ingredients, they can feel a little different from standard supermarket soaps, but we know how important a good lather is.

When we received our first samples of the new bars, the co-founders of Bob made this little home video using our Ordinary Man formulation. Our community tells us that Bob bars last between 10-15 washes, but we are constantly reviewing this. We recently moved to a UK supplier based in Scotland. The new bars have been designed to be highly lathering and highly moisturising. When these two things are combined, and depending on how long you wash for, bars can go down faster.

We recently introduced Bob bundles to tackle that issue, which offer more refills at a discounted cost, ensuring you have enough bars to last every month. We know how important value is, and we believe that this is a great option to get the most value out of our product.

Sorry to hear the suction cups aren’t playing ball, that’s definitely not the experience we’re aiming for. They do tend to work best on smooth, non porous surfaces like glass or very glossy tiles, so it sounds like you’ve already discovered their favourite spot.

On average, our Bob community gets around 10 to 15 washes per bar, but this can vary depending on things like how long you shower for, how much you use, and even things like hair and skin type.

If you’re finding you’re racing through it a bit faster, it sounds like you might be one of our super washers. The good news is we do offer bundles and soapscriptions which help bring the cost down and keep you stocked up without having to think about it.

We appreciate we’re not the cheapest on the market, but we pride ourselves on using the cleanest and best ingredients, and manufacturing in Scotland, both of which come at a premium. We are always trying to reduce the price where we can, but as a new start-up, it takes time to build order volume and achieve economies of scale.
