I have previously thoroughly enjoyed my stays at Stobo but would now think twice about returning.

Might be a small thing to most but when asked for an ice bucket and champagne glasses, we were told we could get them as long as we bought the champagne from them.

Place is already dear enough without that elitist attitude.

Also noticed that the rattan furniture around the pool is starting to unravel.

Furthermore, carpet in our bedroom was badly frayed and just overall, the place isn’t as sharp as it used to be.

Not what I’d expect from a place like this - rather disappointing

My daughters took me here for my birthday 15th feb didn’t find the experience the same as previous occasions.didn’t in for food till 1045 had to be out by 1130.Didn’t find the brunch value for money ither. I liked the sandwiches and mini cakes better . Couldn’t use the hot tub only one of the 3 was working the 2nd one was only half working and the black ring round the hot tub kinda put me off .
Think I wud try somewhere else for my 70 th

Just back from another visit to my favourite place! As always it was truly wonderful! Lovely clean spacious bedrooms, fantastic spa area and the food is utterly delicious!! Special thanks to Head Chef for my favourite dessert ever! All the staff are so friendly, welcoming and go out of their way to help you -you relax the minute you step out of your car (which gets washed!!) into the luxurious surroundings. Stobo see you again soon I hope 🥰

Booked my favourite room (Seymour) for my two daughters (one of whom we were celebrating her 40th birthday) and myself. She works hard so instead of a city break decided on Stobo. This is my third visit in 23 years and can wholeheartedly say its still a high level of service, comfort, treatments and delicious food. The new Spa area is superb. A minor issue with one of my daughters treatments (wrong treatment initially recorded on confirmation booking) but there was fault on our side too. I should have double checked the amended confirmation Spa booking email. But no big deal was made on either side and hopefully lessons learned on both sides. My other daughter had a different experience she was supposed to get a facial as one of her treatments but because her skin had broken out on her face her Therapist agreed to give my daughter a neck and shoulder massage instead which my daughter really appreciated. Special shout out to Gemma, Polish Therapist (sorry didnt catch your name), Stephani and Carol who worked on us and we feel the better for it. Special shout out to Lucian who regularly entertained us at mealtimes and who works very hard. Special mention to Elvin who looked after our accommodation with devotion and finally a special mention to the lovely young receptionist who came to mine and my daughter's aid (You dont know how much of a difference you made to our day!) Maybe a small Chemist Shop would be a worthwhile venture within the premises. Very attentive friendly Service? Yes! Staff who go out of their way to help with a smile? Yes! Beautiful setting? Yes! Delicious well prepared food? Yes! Beautiful relaxing pool with stunning views? Yes! Plenty to do ie walks, various classes etc? Yes! Immaculate, well kept accommodation? Yes! Expensive? Yes! Worth it? Defo! I hope I live long enough to take my Grandaughter then Ill have taken every member of my family (including my husband who also loved it). Keep up the standard Guys. A world class service that hasn't dropped in the time Ive been going and I hope it never will! A very chilled customer.

Stobo castle is worthy of its 5 star review, the most wonderful castle with wonderful staff, the food is outstanding and the service is second to none, after 22 years visiting it never disappoints,see you soon Stobo.
