Do not shop online from Sporting Life

Do not shop online from Sporting Life. My package came with missing items. After multiple emails to the customer service email address, I tried calling only to be redirected to the online ticket system. No joke, 7+ days between responses. It's been 2 months and I still have not resolved a refund for the missing items.

Haven’t Received My Order or any Updates...

I ordered an item on December 12, and have not received it. Nor have I received and updates on the order or tracking. For some reason it is being shipped by a company called Fleet Optics, which is questionable considering the sporting life website only lists Canada Post as their shipping service.

Disappointing experience

My husband ordered me a Patagonia vest from Sporting Life on December 7, 2021, that was intended to be a Christmas present. It’s now January 7, 2021 and we have still not received the vest. My husband emailed them to follow up and to see where the order is a few days ago and we have not received a response at all. I am anticipating that it’s Canada Post that is the true issue, however the lack of response is still disappointing from a customer service perspective.

Worst company ever !

Worst company ever !! They sold me 4 times items that were out of stock after 4 days and refund me. No customer service at all, no refund policy. Only one order got me shipped after 2 weeks and it took nearly one month from the moment i have ordered. What a joke ? Seriously don't encourage this company as it should simply not exist.

Great experience

Had a great experience with sporting life. Shipping from Toronto to Alberta. They got my order sent out fast. They were the only place I could find what I was looking for and on top of that I saved $100 with them

Sporting life made no effort to fulfill…

Sporting life made no effort to fulfill my order claiming a discrepancy without making an effort to resolve it, cancelling my order instead. I have always thought the store excessively expensive so adding a bad shopping experience is reinforcing my commitment to stay clear of the place. There are so many great alternatives that are eager to provide good service and grateful for the business.

I ordered two items on the same day and…

I ordered two items on the same day and only received one of them after almost a month since the order was placed... as of this moment the other parcel is still “in transit”..... it’s been in transit for 4 weeks.... I ordered these items on Dec 7th...... terrible. Extremely disappointed with the delay in the shipment of my order. I understand that it is most likely due to the pandemic and Christmas is usually busy however, my bf ordered from this website about a week ago and received his order just the other day.... but my order from Dec 7th is still floating somewhere..

Lied and cancelled my online order after 1 week due to “not having in stock”, even though you call and they say they have it.
No way to cancel online orders made.
Terrible systems in place.
Don’t shop here

Terrible service.

I ordered some things December 8th..thinking that's enough time. Get an email saying processing shipment. 3 days later I get an email saying one item out of stock.. Then I get an email days later saying part of my ordered shipped... Received that item yesterday December 22. Contacted customer service about the other item.. She said sorry, but it was still being processed and I probably won't get it for Christmas and she doesn't know anything else... I get a freaking email today saying it is out of stock.. Wth, I ordered it December 8th?? You wait until. December 23..two days before Christmas to tell me it is out of stock ?? I will never order from SportingLife.ca again.

DO NOT SHOP ONLINE HERE

I ordered a jacket from here on Dec 13th. After 9 days of no shipping confirmation I emailed them to follow up. They responded they were still working on it. Now 2 days before Christmas they cancelled the order because its Out Of Stock.

In addition, I bought something else in November which came back out of stock. WHY ARE THEY PRETENDING TO SELL STUFF THEY DONT HAVE! AND WHY DOES IT TAKE 2 WEEKS TO RESPOND THAT IT'S OUT OF STOCK!

I will never shop at sporting life again. They are supposed to be selling high-end products and they offer the WORST customer service.

I was very surprised with Sporting Life…

I was very surprised with Sporting Life at the poor Customer Service they offer their clients. Placed an order online Dec 6th for a Christmas gift. Received a confirmation number that item was success and a confirmation number. Waited and waited for item to be delivered. No email no phone call. Two weeks later I wrote to customer service to get a response that my order was cancelled ....Dec 20 with 5 days left for Christmas they are saying sorry for the delayed response. Will NEVER shop there again. Thanks Amazon Prime for being my back up.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. I can't believe how bad is their policy and service for a "leading" Canadian company that sells online.
the item I bought online don't fit, so I need to return. There's no more service on the phone, everything is by email. Customers have to PAY RETURNS shipping fee with TRACKING AND INSURANCE. Why sell online if there's such a bad return policy?
One of my order was cancelled more than 24 hours because out of stock, so the website is not updated.
And on top of that the price had go down 2 days later and they refuse to do a price adjustment.
Never had such a bad service when buying online. It's a shame

The worst online ordering experience…

The worst online ordering experience ever !!!
Customer service is a joke.
After repeated emails, about when my parcel is shipping. They had the nerve to say it was on my end, why my order wasn’t processed.
I confirmed it wasn’t on my end and ended playing email tag with them.
Finally I cancelled my order.
Then they send me an email saying my item wasn’t in stock !!!!
That was the real hold up ?
What a joke of a franchise.
Never again.

Terrible Service

Unfortunately, I'm also experiencing terrible service from this store. I purchased something online that cannot be delivered due to a mistake in the shipping address. I cannot speak to anyone there, their entire service is by email. Do not order anything online from this store!! They don't seem to care about the customer.

WORST ONLINE EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!

DO NOT order online! Most of my shopping experience is online. This was THE WORST ONLINE shopping experience I have ever had. Their online customer service is shameful. First of all, I spent a good three hours online ordering my son 10 items for his birthday. My son goes to a boarding school, so online delivery is crucial in that I do not live in the same country. On November 20th, I received a message that the order had been cancelled. I did not cancel the order, it took me almost half a day to order all of the items. So I get this random cancellation message on the 20th and my son's birthday is on the 24th. I called customer service and waited for an hour before a person was on the other end of the line. The "customer sales rep", if you can call him that, told me his "hands were tied and there was nothing he could do". He said it must have been cancelled on the backend whatever that means? His solution to me was that I go back online and reorder- WTH! For their error, I have to go back and spend my time to reorder something that Sporting Life had randomly cancelled? Then when I asked to talk with a manager I was told that he will put in the request and a manager will call me in two to four days. My son's 17th birthday is tomorrow. What can I do? I don't live in the same country so I can't go get him another gift for him to have on his birthday- he will literally not have a gift. In addition, when I put this order in there was a promotion "FAMILYFRIENDS" that promised to redeem 25% of most items on my order. When I checked out there was no where to include the promotion code. My thought- they put up a crappy website and infrastructure to take advantage of COVID 19 and all of the community who are staying indoors. The problem is the website is extremely poor and there isn't a system in place to handle the orders. So now I am waiting for a manager to call back anytime between 2-4 days- again WTH. Presents aren't everything, but when you are a 17 year old living away from home, they mean a lot. Shame on you Sporting Life, shame on you Web Developer, shame on you upper management. You won't ever have my business again, online or instore. Get it together- super bad experience at every turn.

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE!

Its been nearly 3 months since I placed my order through the website. The package never made it to my house due to an address discrepancy and was returned back to them. After clearing up the address issue I was assured that the package would be sent out within a few days after it was returned. Canada post returned the package and I heard nothing for a couple of weeks. Followed it up and was continually reassured that it would be sent soon. Then after the forth or fifth call they admitted it was lost and needed to open and investigation with Canada post and refused to give me a refund.

Hands down the worst experience I've had with any business online. Customer service was terrible and not once did what they said they would do.

I hope that you manage to see these reviews before you get involved with this awful company!
