Made the choice easy
Solar choice suggested a number of battery installers most of whom I had never heard of, and some who were local. Very helpful information. We contacted a few but ultimately went with a local firm.

Cuthill Electrical were very professional and friendly. Installed and explained everything very quickly.
The owner a qualified electrician has many years of experience and explained all the pros & cons of various systems and options available to me.
I can highly recommend the company for the 1st rate job and follow up.

The company we chose (one of the three you suggested) Solargain, Gippsland, is a very good choice, from the initial quote right through to the completion of the job was very professional and an enjoyable experience. We are so happy with the results we are getting and Solargain, Gippsland is highly recommended by us. We live in Traralgon.

No instant quotes and the "1 quote" that returned was not even remotely what I was looking for.

What they advertise on the page is not what they do. In my case they were simply looking to harvest all my personal details.

It was good to be given access to different solar installers and to look at reviews from users.

I’m very happy I came across the Solar Choice website when beginning the journey of finding a suitable installation company for our new solar system. I spent many hours on the website doing research on questions to ask installers, which panels and batteries were available etc. and the size of the systems available. There was also information about the Federal and State Government rebates which are available and how they work. I then entered my details requesting the names of 3 companies to contact me. I received responses from all 3 within days. I had discussions with 2 over the phone and they provided me with written quotes subject to a site inspection in case any variations were necessary. The 3rd did the site inspection first and then gave us a quote. After a 2 week process, we have selected one of the companies provided, have just signed up and now await installation in the New Year.

Helpfull advice provided backed up with Technical Data for all aspects important to our requirements. Particularly quietness of operation.
The Quote was reasonable and installation date was arranged.
Installation Team arrived at the appointed time, removed the old HWS. Completed the installation seamlessly, gave operating/setting help, cleaned up!

defenetely helpful and it did not take long

I was provided with the installer options in my area and I did not have to google the vast number of solar and battery installers. I could then narrow the field down to my preferred installer based on my own research and after speaking to each company.

It's been nearly 2 years (dec 2023) since Ashley and the team helped us choosing/installing our first ever solar system and have no regrets. We arranged for 3 quotes and dealing with Ashley was great, he wasn't a passive aggressive salesman like the others (attempting to sell products that were not required) and was honest on what brands to look for and ones to avoid.
The installation was completed in 1 day and never had any issues. It took a few weeks to get up and running, that was more an issue with Energex
Ashley always responds when I email him and found the after works service good.

I engaged Platinium Solar Design in July 2025 to install a Sigenergy 24kWh Battery Storage System to integrate with my existing solar PV setup. From the first contact, the experience was exceptional.
The quotation process was straightforward and transparent — no hidden costs, no deposit required, and every feature I requested was clearly detailed. Kristi-Lee took the time to visit my property to inspect the switchboard and confirm the details. She answered every one of my written questions carefully, following up both on-site and in writing.

Very glad to have used Solar Choice for installer recommendations. I initially went direct to a few installers, none of which I was happy with and the first 2 companies I dealt with through the Solar Choice referrals were excellent and the only 2 companies I ultimately short listed, plus they offered an additional discount as a Solar Choice referral customer.
