The artist were amazing! My only feedback would be the bar. Why would you only have one bar tender for the event does not make sense.

Sofar's distinguishing feature is the originality of its locations, specially chosen to surprise, disruptive, the warmth, the decoration, the friendliness of its people, the family atmosphere, the invitation to get to know each other and share, the possibility for artists to interact with the public.
None of that happened; it was a huge disappointment. I felt it was disrespectful to the format, to the audience who paid €18, which is a sufficiently expensive ticket price, and above all, disrespectful to the two incredibly talented artists, exceptionally well-prepared for their performance. Their talent was completely out of place in a mediocre show held in the basement of a pub with a "comedy club" sign behind them, white lights directly in their faces that made it impossible for them to see the audience, air conditioning that we had to ask them to turn off three times because it was unnecessarily freezing cold, and the laughter and shouts from the pub upstairs that interfered with the artists' performance. The music during the breaks had nothing to do with the artists and also sounded bad.
Barcelona is a wonderful city with many original venues, incredible arquitecture, also flats can be lovingly decorated and prepared with not a huge budget, and create a welcoming and special atmosphere.
A concert in a pub basement with white lights, no decorations (as I said they didn't even take down the "comedy club" sign), and plastic chairs is basically not a Sofar experience; I felt cheated, and it saddens me that the artists didn't have a venue worthy of their talent and professionalism.
I definitely won't trust Sofar again; it was disappointing.
The two female artists were incredible, no doubt about it.

Great talent and warmth and connection between artists and host with audience. Lovely venue - gallery space - great vibes!

The gallery setting was very underwhelming and two out of the three musicians were really not good.

Artists were all excellent, high caliber of talent! The venue is terrific, very vibey with the twinkle lights on the trees outside and great lighting and acoustics inside. Also the beer is top notch at Lamplighter! I like how at least one of the artists was local too.

Nice enough space, decent seating, and parking was about what you would expect in NYC. No real issue with the venue itself.
The problem was the show. I paid $36 and drove an hour expecting quality NYC talent, but this felt more like a beginner artist showcase than a real live music event. A lot of it came across more like spoken word with beats than strong musical performances.
For me, it was overhyped and not worth the money or the drive. If you want a casual startup-style showcase, maybe this works for you. But if you are expecting impressive talent, try another one.

Such a great show and perfect venue! The performers were terrific, especially Thesaurus Rex. Looking forward to attending another Sofar show at this excellent Bowery location.

Choice of venue and musicians was great but they sold way too many tickets and overfilled the space.

Reply from Sofar Sounds
The venue was not suitable for the number of people attending.
Not enough seating in the 2 trains. Sitting outside, it was impossible to hear the artists.
Should have been one large venue allowing everyone to hear the different performers.
Shame, as the little we heard was good.

As always, the atmosphere was fantastic and made me discover a new venue in Winchester.
It's a great opportunity to meet new artists and support them in their musical journey.

All experience was great. Merve and her crew was doing amazing things in Istanbul.

The music was great, the venue was fine. The event was advertised as having food available for purchase which turned out not to be the case.

As a music lover who doesn't always want to be in a large crowd, this is perfect. I enjoy the intimate and unique settings, and the music is usually pretty good. The people who make it happen are always friendly and inviting and it's nice to be able to meet and support the artists that come to the shows. I'm usually solo and enjoy it, but good for groups, and dates. It's a good time, you won't be disappointed.

It wasnt a sofar experience, we sat in not very cozy chairs. It was inside a supposed art gallery, but it seemed more like a store, because all spaces were filled of product expositions. It felt like a very commercial experience. Artists were good but the environment kind of affected the event as a whole.
