The agent was entirely attentive to my query, and as such, he quickly made the calculations and confirmed what our new monthly payment would be once I paid the escrow shortage in full! Though the wait-time was about 35 minutes, answering my questions only took about 4 minutes.

Incompetent, negligent ineffective customer service
Very ineffective customer service, company and corporate practices. It has taken years for them to update my account Information when I took over from the original borrower. They don’t listen, acknowledge documents, or have regard for human beings.
I can’t wait to sell this loan to another company. Horrible. Avoid doing business with or engaging in business with SLS at any cost.

I called concerning a payment that I made that had been posted differently than I desired. The representative was able to easily take care of the issue. Plus I wasn't on hold on the phone forever like any other place you try to call.
Specialized the worst servicing provider ever
All I can say is if your loan has been recently bought by Specialized Loan servicing, try to get out and away from them as soon as possible. This company based off my personal experience has been the worst loan servicing company I have ever worked with. They close down their phone hours. They’re not available for you and then when they are available they don’t have information that you need. When you request documents the documents they send you are mailed to you in a format that they can not even explain. That is if you ever receive the documents. Specialized misappropriate $1200 from my account when it transferred over from Wells Fargo and they have yet to explain where my $1200 where it or what they coded it to. They forced me to sign a modification agreement that only pays $100 towards the principal balance of my loan. I will never pay this off even if I made the scheduled payments for the next 30 years. Not to mention the amount of interest they are ripping me off for. It’s like an interest only loan they basically forced me to sign it. Specialized Loan servicing does not care about their customers or accounts. The Majority of people that I have talked to at specialized never even owned a home let alone know anything about payments, escrow fees, insurance, taxes, modification, agreements, refinances, interest rates, late fees, or anything else. This company supposedly has an office in Colorado, so they say. I do really do not think they have a physical office that you can actually go sit down and talk to somebody about your account. When you’re speaking about your mortgage it’s probably is one of the largest investments you have, you want the person to be personable and listen when you talk and help you. Specialized Loan servicing is not the company for you.

I use the internet when I can, it has a great user interface Employees have always helped me when I had an issue. The house loan went well. The loan requirements were actually good for me. Comerica made sure I knew what items were being reviewed with the seller. The loan specialist kept me from making a potential mistake.

Website and Customer Service Needs Improvements
When our loan sold to this company we didn't get notice until after the first payment was due. So I rushed to make a payment. Our first late payment ever. It didn't count against us due to the grace period though. However, the biggest issue is that we were paying additional principal under the old loan company and had an early payoff plan. This SLS website is terrible and won't let you add additional principal. We didn't realize this wasn't happening for over a year so now we are having to catch up that principal pay down. We called to figure out why we can't make a one time payment and why we can't add additional principal. The agent was SO confusing telling us that my husband who is on the loan is the only one who can talk to them. But she rattled off my personal details so apparently I'm in there somewhere. Then she tells me us can make payments on the website. I told her we tried but it's broken. She said that my husband has to do it. I informed her we were standing together in front of the same computer and it can't be done. "Oh the website is broken." Lord help me. Then we asked how we can fix this monthly payment to take out additional principal. "Your husband has to call us." HELLO he's right here on the phone. The first person you spoke to. Gah! Hopefully she fixed it going forward. But seriously, a jank system for a company who is supposedly "specialized" in home loans. This is a first for us in almost 2 decades that we haven't been able to manage it online properly.
