Exceptional Works carried out

Had this company in after we had the mains water pipe rupture under our house and had been leaking for a period of time. Causing damp to the lounge, hallway and kitchen.
Darren came in and stripped out all of the flooring and plaster off the walls. Darren was very professional and answered any questions that I had. Was very clean with his work and very easy to get along with.
Dried out the area ready for an other team to come in to do the restoration side of the job.
Dave and Matt (father and son) came to do this.
Both Dave and Matt are lovely, professional, friendly, left the area they had worked on in the daytime, clean and tidy at night.
The works they have carried out is to an exceptional standard.
We are very pleased with the service that Recovery Restoration has provided for us.

:Avoid at all costs

:Avoid at all costs — the most terrible company I’ve ever dealt with.

• Rude and dismissive staff: Telephone team were unhelpful and disrespectful.
• Incompetent surveyor: Tried to fob me off with excuses, assuming I had no knowledge of damp and mould.
• Work not completed: Promised skirting removal never done. Instead of using a proper dehumidifier, they stuck a fan in the passage.Black mould present behind the skirting they did not remove.
• Dangerous conditions left behind: Nails sticking out of walls, grippers everywhere — despite knowing a child lives here.
• Unprofessional behaviour: Whispering in my living room, and I suspect they entered my bedroom while I was out, leaving dust everywhere. Ruined stuff that I have had to discard of.
• Total disregard for cleanliness: The mess was appalling, with dust ruining belongings.

I am reporting them to Trading Standards and HMRC. Honestly, they don’t even deserve one star. Unsafe, unprofessional, and dishonest — do not let them near your property
Oh just in returns to their response. A complaint has been logged (and I have the emails). Only companies that know they are not good, use the same excuse “we can see you have other similare complaints” and in relation to the last disgusting comment “about the cleanliness of the house”. My house is immaculate and is only 4 years old, you also state you know nothing about my complaint/property but then mention the cleanliness of the property prior to work. The photos show otherwise. My house was left in a mess from the work. Simple.

We do not have any records of having received a complaint from you, either in writing, by e-mail or by post, so we would appreciate if you would check that we are the company for which this review was intended, and if so we welcome you to contact us so that we can investigate your complaint fully.

Our surveyors are BDMA qualified and have a proven track record with providing accurate site assessments and recommending site suitable restorations and repairs.
All works must be approved by insurers before we complete them. Strip out works to enable drying of a property must be necessary, for example we will only remove saturated materials so far as is necessary to dry the property in a timely manner and to mitigate secondary damage. Insurers will typically not approve disturbances to unaffected areas as this is beyond their liability.
We would only install suitable drying equipment and there are very few circumstances where we would install fans alone. We attend all properties where we have a drying programme in process at regular intervals to take damp readings and to ensure that the property is drying at the expected rate. This process is documented and evidenced for insurers as part of our rigorous auditing process.
Our technicians carry out risk assessments of all sites and ensure that our works do not leave any hazards. To this end we take many photographs of all works before, during and after they are complete to evidence to insurers that all works have been completed appropriately.
Our technicians are all vetted as is a requirement of our various contracts with major insurers and loss adjusters. We are confident that our technicians would not have entered any areas without good reason. Unfortunately we cannot be responsible for the existing cleanliness of a property unrelated to our works.

We note that you have made similar complaints about other companies and are somewhat surprised to read this review as we have not received any complaints to this regard, but as previously stated, if you do have a genuine complaint about any of our services we would urge you to contact us directly stating your post code and reference number and we will be delighted to investigate further.

We were absolutely delighted with the…

We were absolutely delighted with the work carried out by Maggie and Chris to restore our kitchen following a water leak. Not only did they carry out the work to an excellent standard they also repaired our faulty door and touched up paint. As well as their fantastic work they were the nicest couple you could hope to meet and became friends of the family by the end of the week, especially with my 8 year old daughter who was sad to see them leave! Many thanks too to Ricky who kept us updated all the way through the process. I would not hesitate to recommend Recovery Restorations and especially Maggie and Chris to anyone needing this sort of work carried out. Thank you!
