Terrible customer service. Looks like they have gone out of businesses owing me £600 !!!!!!! Nobody answer text / emails …. Anyone else in this position!! I understand police went round Colchester branch this week not sure if outcome ….
I’ve had several pairs of glasses styled to my prescription at the Southfields branch. The Zeiss Smartlife lenses are fantastic and I have been able to build an amazing collection of Photofusion X/Adaptive Sun with Duravision Flash coatings in various colours. I am able to switch glasses effortlessly with no effect on my vision. Peripheral vision is amazing. I have a strong prescription so they had to be right for me. The team are wonderful people, friendly, courteous and give you the time and attention and make you feel comfortable. The care and attention to detail with the iprofiler and visufit machine is second to none. Highly recommended.
Just been back to Optical Revolution for my two yearly check up. I can’t fault their service. The eye test was extremely professional and everything was explained to me really clearly. All my questions were answered. The process of choosing new frames was much less painful than usual as the choice of frames was curated for me by the dispensing optician which meant that I wasn’t faced with a great wall of choices. He listened carefully to what I wanted and then brought out about 15 frames for me to look at and try. A much better system and I had chosen my frames in about 10 minutes! The staff were incredibly helpful and patient and the whole visit was a pleasure. Thank you!
I have now stopped using Optical Revolution after about two years of being a customer. All the staff in Colchester were replaced about a year ago and it went downhill. I had the most expensive eye test in the world last summer at £125 (£60 for the eye test and £65 for a contact lense check). Other opticians charge £30. I had my eyes re-checked at Vision Express as I was not confident that my prescription was correct, and Vision Express told me very quickly that I HAD CATARACTS that were COMPLETELY MISSED BY OPTICAL REVOLUTION. Vision Express discovered this within about two minutes and it wasn’t a full eye test so how can an eye test that costs £125 and checks the eye health completely miss the fact I have cataracts! It’s a disgrace. In addition this I trialed multi focal lenses and mono vision lenses that didn’t work. I went to Vision Express and they sorted it straight away and I now wear multi focal lenses. I will never use Optical Revolution again. Vision Express have been absolutely amazing.
After many years of loyal custom, I will not be returning to Optical Revolution due to terrible customer service!
Cancelled today after being a customer for 20 years. Price increase on my contact lenses of 54%. Company weren’t willing to do anything to retain my custom.
That was a month ago and no one has responded to my review through Google review.
Optical Revolution Catford (ORC) was a surprise discovery. I'd been looking for new frames in a well known chain when I unexpectedly came across ORC. The service was friendly, patient and helpful, giving honest advice without being intrusive.
My prescription was quickly retrieved from the well known chain and some extra checks done.
I am very happy with my new frames and occupational lenses and will definitely use ORC in future.
Optical Revolution Colchester provided me with excellent customer service and experience. They are a registered company endorsed by Google and NHS England. Optical Revolution listened and took the Advice e of The Conservative Government during the COVID-19 Pandemic; social distancing, wearing masks and all their equipment and domain was thoroughly sanitized. They have branches throughout the UK in Catford, Colchester, Eastbourne,Haywards Heath and Southfields. I have been a customer of Optical Revolution Colchester for over 8 years, Optical Revolution has provided me with a regular supply of Gas Permeable Contact Lenses during that period. I booked an eye examination and contact lens appointment and was seen by an Optometrist within a matter of days. I passed my eyesight and no abnormalities were discovered. I then booked my contact lens appointment and again that went through smoothly as a result of the Professionalism and expertise of all the team at Optical Revolution whose sole itinerary was to make you feel calm, composed, and delighted that for the first time you would indeed receive value for money. The Managers Sam and Michelle have excellent communication, and interpersonal skills and they are empathetic and do everything they can to ensure they provide you with a formidable quality of service. I am on low income but i was able to purchase my contact lens through a Government Scheme endorsed by the Minister of Health and NHS England. Optical Revolution took this a stage further and allowed me to either make protracted payments over a period of time for my contact lens but more recently as a result of the economic crisis I made payment when I placed an order for a contact lens that I was happy and able to do. The team at Optical Revolution is excellent. They are Professional, Ethics, and Standards. The Team at Optical Revolution is compassionate as a result of their own responsibilities and duties as mothers, fathers, and friends to say the least. As a company Optical Revolution Survived the COVID-19 Pandemic and they will be able to meet the needs of their clients/customers despite the current economic climate and the warnings of a recession stated by the Bank of England and the Chancellor. Optical Revolution has the enate resources to compete as a viable business despite the economic climate
I wish to thank Sam and Michelle and the Optometrists for their kindness and understanding and wish them success, happiness, and prosperity for the many years to come.
