Alex is AMAZING - super flexible with the time slot, right in time and always has a smile. 1000% recommended

The removal team was fine, but the company owes me hundreds of pounds for breakages and over-charging and have been ignoring my emails for almost 3 months (they won’t speak on the phone). I wouldn’t recommend this company because, in my experience, if anything goes wrong there is no way to resolve it.

The 3 issues I have, which still remain unresolved months later are:

1. They charged £300 for equipment I didn’t end up using. They promised to return the money within 10 days, but months later there is no sign of the cash (or any response at all) despite repeated emails.

2. There were a number of breakages. Some of these were spotted on the day and confirmed by the removal team, a few were spotted a few days later and reported within the required time with pictures. Many months later, no response despite repeated emails.

3. They charged waiting time, which I had no choice but to pay at the time, but later disputed. Again I have repeatedly contacted them about this, but they have not replied at all.

National Moves made my move so fast and stress free. I got the crates delivered before hand with plenty of time before the move. Moving day was so quick. Alex was professional, amiable and efficient. I was very happy overall.

From start to finish Alex and his team took all the stress away from moving house. They packed all of our items with care and we’re very friendly and efficient. I have moved a few times and they are miles above the rest, wouldn’t use anyone else in the future! Keep up the good work guys

The 3 guys who handled the move were excellent. However, the company did resort to what I now know is a common trick of low-balling a quote in order to force you into paying much more later. The original quote was £950 which isn't ridiculously low for a 3 bed house. They sent 2x Luton vans and 3 men which seemed sufficient but needed to make two trips. We were only moving 1 mile, so when they asked me to make a second payment for the second trip I didn't think much of it at first. When I spoke to the Head Office to make the payment they demanded immediate payment in full or the men would have to down tools mid-move! The second payment was another £950!! This company mis-quoted / mis-calculated yet I'm the one now over-paying! It left a bitter taste and I wouldn't use them again as a result. I learnt afterwards this is a common scam by moving companies. The Guardian published an article on this 17 November in their Money section if you want to read further.

Jay and his crew were amazing. Everyone was extremely polite and professional.

They worked tirelessly over the last two days packing, removing and delivering from our old address to our new house.

Alex and the team put me at ease with moving. They are professional and quick and most of friendly.

Alex was recommended to us from a close friend who we trust. We therefore had no concern about giving Alex a shout to help us move flat.

He was a pleasure to deal with from the outset. I whatsapped him and he replied even though he was on holiday. Within a couple of hours the moving date was booked. Very efficient and easy.

On the day he and his colleague T arrived early and moved at pace. They were very considerate and a pleasure to deal with. No request was too much. They made it extremely easy for us and took care of everything.

No doubt Alex will be the guy I call next time we need a mover!

Honestly the best team! We had a huge move from Bedfordshire to Wales and these guys were absolute pros. Friendly, patient at the most and efficient. Considering it was the hottest day ever they handled everything with care and a smile. Really appreciated having this team, especially for a day like today.

Absolute breeze to move with. Very polite and hard working- got the job done in no time and went the extra mile. Nicolas was very professional. Removed all the stress from what could of been a very stressful experience. Would highly recommend.

AVOID AVOID AVOID THIS AWFUL COMPANY.

Having already paid them £1100, half-way through the move they emailed me to say we had to pay £1100 more, and refused to unload my stuff until I paid the extra. They said that if I refused to pay, they could take my possessions into storage (it’s in their terms and conditions).

The extra was £500 for packaging (a bunch of cardboard boxes and some bubble wrap that could be bought on Amazon for less than £100), and a three hour 'delay' which was in fact caused by them not recording the fact that I'd told them that we would not be getting the keys to our new home until later that day, so they showed up 3 hours early.

On top of that, during the move they caused over £2000 damage to my furniture, including:

Breaking a clock
Tearing the material of a sofa
Staining an armchair by leaving it outside uncovered under a dripping pipe
Ruining a dresser with scratches because it wasn't packed properly
Breaking a coffee table by dropping it on the concrete

Other examples of their lack of skill and care:
They packed a kettle full of water!
When they arrived I showed them a box that must not be packed, that had the keys for the new owner - yep, they packed it, causing us massive inconvenience.
They knocked over a wooden speaker on the concrete, and luckily it wasn't damaged.

I raised a complaint over a month ago, and haven't had any meaningful response yet. I'll amend this review if/when I get a reply.

We cannot rate Alex and his team highly enough. The service from the first survey through to delivery was professional and efficient with good communication throughout. The team were all extremely friendly during the move and made the whole process as easy as possible. Highly recommended.

The stress of moving was insane but i can honestly say that National Moves really helped with the load of it! The entire process was easy, well explained, the team were super lovely and friendly. They did the packing, moving and storage and brought it all back in one piece😂🎉

Probably the easiest move I’ve ever had. Alex and Bradley couldn't have done anything better. Would highly recommend using National moves.

Two trucks, two guys, three rooms and 250 miles. Friendly quick, energetic, no time wasting. Alex and Brad where fabulous.
