What a Rip off:
I have been a regular visitor to the Algarve for over 30 years, and I hate to see the supermarkets like Intermarche rip of the tourists in July and August where all the supermarkets club together and ram up the prices. The most visible of which, is they remove all the 1 litre containers for the freshly squeezed orange juice, only leaving half litre containers for the unsuspecting tourists. This is very unfair because for those who wish to purchase a litre of orange juice, they are forced to buy 2 half litres at an inflated price. Considering the Portuguese tourist industry has been sliding over the past several years, and this year it's up to 30% down on previous years, and the over pricing in Supermarkets, pubs, and restaurants certainly is helping in a time when people are strapped for cash with increased energy bills etc.

friendly staff. some of the product range a little limited in choice. some prices for equal product in uk vastly more expensive in France however personal choice whether to buy or not.

Sells multiple expired/unfit/rotten products. +1 for refusing to sell products from suppliers like Matudis/Matutano/PepsiCo who inflate prices 26% in 2 years.

Great products and diversity, could be a bit pricey sometimes, but overall really enjoying shopping there! Thank you.

Sale of unfresh meat! I bought poultry livers at Intermarché de Sao Bartholomeu de Messines, the next day they were spoiled I tried a second time to buy leg of mutton, I bought two, their appearance being doubtful, but I trusted my wife and I were sick with a strong indigestion. I kept the purchase tickets. It is scandalous to sell very dubious products and especially for a brand already very expensive in products
