Hopelessly inadequate Customer Suport
I attempted to engage with the company and initially they seemed very helpful when they thought I would give them my business. However their customer assistance when it came to preparing my book for publication was hopelessly inadequate leading to a me wasting time and funds that could better spent elsewhere.

This review is puzzling since he has not printed a job with us. We haven’t charged him a penny but we are a few weeks into discussing the project, offering solutions and helping get the job into print. More bewildering is that an alias was used to surreptitiously submit this review but he then reverted back to his actual name when requesting another quote through our website. This in itself suggests the one-star review is disingenuous because on some level he was still considering using us to print the book. Odd.
So the facts here are:
• we haven’t printed anything for Eric James / Kevin Betts.
• he has not paid us any money, given us any business or wasted ‘funds’.
• we have discussed setting up his artwork at length by email and also on the phone as we do with all our enquiries.
• we look forward to seeing his work in print.
After further discussion, the one-star review was based on him being frustrated that we recommended Affinity Publisher or Scribus as alternatives to Indesign. He chose Scribus which evidently is not as easy to use.
Indesign IS the best page layout program and they do offer a one-week free trial but following that there is a monthly fee. The screengrabs in our file set-up guides are for Indesign but the same principles apply for all other layout programs, so choose whichever you are most comfortbale with.

Thankfully, you only have to read our other 380+ reviews to realise that our customer service clearly doesn’t warrant a one star review, in fact arguably our strongest attribute is the amount of time, patience and help we give people to prepare their work for print.

High-quality work, absolutely stellar customer service!
Ordered a small print run of hardcover photography books and could not have been more satisfied with the quality of the paper, the printing itself, and essentially the entire process. Ex Why Zed turned what would normally have been an arduous process with a reasonably-high learning curve into a seamless experience.
The customer service is worth a special mention. Not only have they taken the time to produce extremely in-depth videos explaining the entire process to those not familiar with printing, but once the process has started they make sure that what you've got on your screen is what you'll have in your hands. Will absolutely be printing with them for as long as I can make printable work.

Fantastic quality prints - speedy turnaround time
Fantastic quality prints - I got some A6 posters printed and they look even better in person than expected - the paper and finish are beautiful and colour matched perfectly.
My communication with Mike was seamless - he was very responsive, helpful and accommodating.
Posters arrived much faster than expected and really impressed with such an efficient turnaround time. So so pleased with the result - thank you so much! Will definitely be using Ex Why Zed again in the near future. It's been a pleasure to work with you.
