would not be recommending.

Would not recommend, bad tarmac job, can see plate marks, indentations, and missing tar. Had back garden done by the same company, again had a few snags, was rectified a few weeks later. Will not be recommending, but fence and slabs turned out okay. Grass that was laid was not level with the slabs that Left a trip, filled it with top soil myself and grass seed. Also worth noting they are not the best at leaving the site and area around your house clean before they retire for the day/weekend.

This company owner has no values and is quick to take your money and run

First of all, the owner, Tom, of this company is all about taking your money and running. Also worth noting is that Tom prefers to deal in cash as a preferred option for doing business. I'm not sure why this is the case, but it does raise flags; maybe some sort of tax avoidance? Tom did two jobs. The first was tarmac; I can see the vibrating plate marks when it rains on my drive. Tom did the back garden; it's been 3 weeks now and I'm still waiting on him to come back to do some snagging, but Tom is ignoring me; it's my fault for paying him. Tom and his team damaged my driveway by parking an overloaded trailer on it; I now have potholes forming. I have asked Tom to repair this, but he is refusing to reply to any of my emails or texts. A close inspection shows my driveway was done in one tarmac coat; it's meant to have two. I see many holes where tar should have been. Cowboy job.

Snag list
Tar has holes in it all over; the job was not done to a high standard.
The edging was not thick enough; concrete should have been used, not cement and mortar.
Drainage installation was not neat and tidy, had to be cleaned, and needed a bead of waterproof filler to stop water from going into the ground instead of the drain as intended.
Vibrating wacker plates leave marks all over the tar.
Some slabs are not neatly cut and need replacing.
Joint filler geofill for the slabs is falling out, and not enough is installed or used at other parts.
For fencing, some bad boards that should not have been used need to be replaced.
Other observations and complaints: I had to tidy up after the guys at the end of the day; my driveway and the road outside were never brushed by the lads, at least not often. This includes at the end of the job, when I spent 3 hours out there cleaning up with a power hose. This is a job Tom and his team should take care of, have some pride in, and be aware of the impression they leave. There are only really two lads that speak English, one mainly and the other Pigeon English. This did prove to be a problem when asking about certain parts of the job, as everything went through a translator. The lads themselves, the Polish lads, were all great with no issues for the most part, and Tom was rarely seen on the job that lasted 3 weeks. The guys do not speak highly of Tom either: "All Tom does is go on holiday; we never see him. "Tom does not tell us what is needed; we have to ask the customer every time I hope this raises flags for you when considering this company to carry out any work. If you are getting a fence done or a patio slabbed, then go with the workers of this company only, as for the most part they did a good job, and their company is Maxpollandscaping(at)gmail.com. Pawel Dreja. Do not go through Tom. I have had to warn others that I setup for Tom to use who were still to provide a quote that Tom is so unprofessional. Clearly, business owners should adhere to a code of ethics and professionalism. Any monkey can own a business; it's how you run it that counts.

Amazing new driveway

Just had our front garden converted into a driveway. The guys did an amazing job. They completed the job extremely quickly and cleaned up as they went. The driveway looks amazing and I love it. They were happy to answer all our questions about maintenance afterwards. Would highly recommend them.

We can't reccomended these guys enough

We can't reccomended these guys enough, they did everything to a high standard: beautiful sandstone paving, brick work, new lawn, ironmongery, electrics and summer house construction / carpenterary. Tom was super responsive and they guys on site really efficient. An excellent team and service!

Quality service

Well, what can I say - following on from my original review of the super service I received from Tom and his crew ( see below ) I had a ‘very small snagging issue’ which, when reported to Tom was dealt with quickly and efficiently. Showing a high commitment to aftercare is commendable and definitely a positive point to note for anyone thinking of engaging this company in their gardening project. Delivering on promises made obviously runs through Edinburgh Paving Company’s business ethos.

Tom and his crew delivered excellent service from start to finish. I am delighted with the quality of the work and wouldn’t hesitate recommending Edinburgh Paving Company (Scotland) Ltd to others. I now look forward to the summer when I can sit out and appreciate my back garden to the full.

Very impressed with Edinburgh Paving…

Very impressed with Edinburgh Paving Company and the job they did to create our driveway. Very professional, timely and friendly. The boys were hard working and persevered despite the weather being difficult and left the job tidy every night. It was a big job that required a lot of preparation and they completed within a week. You can tell a lot of effort was put in, the results show a very professional finish. I would recommend to all.
