I participated in the 8 days “ Building AI Application” Challenge. This community helped me to network with diverse people around the world. Helped me build project with alignment and use “state of the art technologies “, Brainstorm ideas from developers. They guided and encouraged me to complete the AI application.

I recently completed the 8-day AI Application Challenge by DDS, and it was a very practical and hands-on experience.

During the challenge, I built an AI-powered predictive maintenance assistant (ProdiagAI) using machine learning and LLM integration. The process pushed me to move beyond theory and actually design, build, and deploy a working application.

What stood out to me was the flexibility — there was no fixed project, so I could explore my own idea and implement it end-to-end. This made the experience more realistic compared to typical guided tutorials.

I worked on data generation, model training (XGBoost), handling class imbalance, integrating an AI assistant, and deploying the app using Streamlit. It also exposed me to real challenges like model evaluation, prompt tuning, and debugging deployment issues.

One area that could be improved is having a clearer evaluation framework, especially for LLM outputs, as measuring response quality can be subjective.

Overall, it was a valuable learning experience that helped me gain practical skills in building real AI applications.

The 8-day challenge was filled with a lot of learning and competitiveness that encourages others to work on their AI Application and move forward with their projects.

I enjoyed testing and building my AI Application called "Dox the Data Professional's Guide" that was built using many tools such as Agno, OpenAI, LanceDB, and others.

If you are a person who wants to challenge yourself in building an AI Application and wish to enhance your portfolio than I suggest joining this awesome challenge.

I joined DDS because I wanted more practical exposure to AI, not just theory. What I found helpful was the focus on actually building and sharing work instead of only watching content.

For me, the challenge and community sessions made the learning process feel more structured and easier to follow. I was able to understand things better when I started applying them step by step.

Overall, it was a useful learning experience, especially for someone trying to move from concepts into practical work.

Really enriching and supportive experience in the community! We learn so many relevant tech stacks both in terms of theory and practical. There are amazing workshops, interactive challenges and a very supportive, collaborative environment.

DDS has created a zeal in me to learn something new every day in AI domain. I am becoming from AI enthusiast to AI builder.
To build AI Agents / AI products, I have been using various AI tools now a days instead of only ChatGPT. The tools which I use regularly are Claude, Emergent, Twillio, cursor, make.com, Zapier, GitHub, validatorAI, HeyGen. Start your journey with AI residency program of Decoding Data Science and become a pro in AI domain. AI won’t replace you, but an AI agent powered by a 22 year old with no salary will. Think about it.

Such a great amazing and wonderful, joyful learning experiences like AI bootcamps, meet-ups, technical sessions with DDS. Keep learning fruitfully forever in AI/ML & Data science Era.

The course was very informative and useful. I gained hands on experience on how to use LLMs and RAG to be able to help chatbots to find answers to questions

I joined the AI application building challenge as a complete beginner. It was a good experience and they certainly help a lot to enhance your knowledge and provide good projects to build applications.

My experience with Decoding Data Science’s AI Residency Program has been truly transformative.

I joined recently the community and finally found a group of knowledgeable people who help to understand the basics but building not just theory. It also cut the noise of the hype tools and help to get the fundamentals right.
